Why New Thought may be the right spiritual path for you
You've been looking into a lot of different paths, realities, religious views and ideas. You know that the old fears and the old practices don't serve you anymore. There is a better way, with a lot of variety, a lot of possibility, a lot of choice, and most of all, with a great way to a powerful relationship with the Source of All That Is, God. Not to mention, a new way of interacting with your fellows. It's called New Thought.
What New Thought seeks to accomplish:
To provide a place of spiritual nourishment for the independent seeker.
To help those who are struggling with old, scary traditional religious pasts to come to terms with them.
To teach New Thought principles:
There is One Power, One Presence, One Life, creator and sustainer of All That Is.
That Life is our Life now.
There is no separation; everything is interconnected.
All is perfect in its seeming imperfection.
There is no eternal punishment or reward. Consciousness itself is eternal.
Life is good right here, right now. It’s a matter of how we choose to experience it.
You can create your own miracles. They are not supernatural.
You can create the life you want as long as you are willing to take full responsibility for your creations.
The practice of compassion is our number one goal. “Do the least harm and the most good.”
Giving and receiving are one principle. Everything returns to you in full measure.
Each person is free to choose his/her own path as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else.
Love is the Only Reality.
There it is, presented in a simple way. But the efforts, work, responsibilities, and results are not simple. They will floor you, surprise you, and most of all, delight you.
Maybe this is the spiritual home you've been seeking. Couldn't hurt to look into it a little more and give it a try. If it's not for you, there are plenty of other paths waiting for you to take them up on their offers.
