From Hopelessness To Glory
From Hopelessness to Glory
“remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenant of the promise, without hope and without God in this world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. “
Ephesians 2 :12 – 13
Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household.
Ephesians 2 :19
Have you experienced to live godless and hopeless in the world ?
At one time in our lives, we were once godless and hopeless , alienated from the fellowship of God and His household and separated from His loving presence.
Living apart from God and outside His covenant promises is the most miserable way of living. During the difficult trials and moments of life, there is no loving comfort to calm down the strife in your mind, no loving presence to assure you that everything will be alright.
To be away from God’s loving presence is too unbearable for a weak person like me. Life is too fierce to live without God. And men of this world have been too proud to throw God out of our lives.
Life without God is a life of utter misery and hopelessness. I don’t think I can face life courageously without God. God’s sustaining grace is the source of my strength in daily living. I am completely dependent upon God’s provision and protection in my daily life.
I still remember then, prior to the day I came to know the Lord personally, how helpless and hopeless I was . I had no refuge in times of desperate moments. I had no shelter during difficult trials of life..I had no source of help in times of momentary troubles. In times of emergency, I had no source of power to cling unto. During lifes’s deepest tragedies I had no source of comfort to calm down my strife deep within. When my family experienced tragedy due to the loss of my sister in a shipwreck accident, I did not know where to find comfort then.I was not aware I had been living a very dangerous life away from God.
Praise be to God that Jesus came into my life and I was reconciled back to the Father. Jesus indeed made a very great difference in my life. Now I have a great fortress in times of life’s storms. Jesus is a great shield. His Name is a strong tower, in times of troubles I run to Him and call on His Name and found safety.
What a great comfort it is to have Jesus by your side in times of life’s greatest struggles. His loving presence assures you that everything will be alright. His abiding presence gives me strength each day to face life’s fiercest battles. His sustaining grace is agreat blessing to face the challenges of each day. Life without Jesus is utterly miserable and full of desperation.
Because of what JesusChrist has done on the cross, I became part of God’s household through faith in Christ. I also became a fellow citizen of God’s people, no longer alienated from God and become fellow partaker of God’s covenant promises . Because of this, I am looking forward to a very great future in God. Christ is preparing a very great future for me.
The Christian journey is very difficult, but this is still the most excellent way of life. For only in being a Christian, you can have the bests of life, for only in being a Christian you become a partaker of the everlasting kingdom of God.
