Give it a laugh
It really is the best medicine.
Many people need more joy in their lives. God created us to be Happy Harry’s not Gloomy Gerties.
Instead of watching the gloomy tabloid news (How much unbiased news is there out there today, whether on the idiot box, in newspapers or on the radio?) why not get a pet and spend time playing with it. I have had some of my most treasured moments with dogs.
Instead of worrying about finances or your job why not go out and do volunteer work? I think all volunteer agencies need volunteers. If you try one and it does not work don’t give up, just write down what makes you happy and find someplace to suit your disposition.
Instead of whining to God why not listen to positive Christian radio stations? I prefer Joyfm St Louis. Listen to it at work and see the mood change there, listen to Christian songs on the bus or radio stations while driving. See how fast you go from Negative Nellie’s to Positive Pete’s.
Here’s a revolutionary idea: why not pick one day a week for family time and visit museums, art galleries and science centers and zoo’s? Afterwards instead of going to a big restaurant like McDonalds why not go to a little mom and pop restaurant? I believe the food is better as is the ambiance. An added benefit is you are supporting a local business instead of big business. Everybody must agree to be on their best behavior (which is hard for siblings but teaches them to get along which is important later on in life.
Think of it like this: anger and resentment is the cause of almost all diseases while joy is the best healer.
Which medicine do you take every day?
When we learn to pray and praise God every day, it becomes the best part of our day. Joseph- Anthony: Green
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah for sharing Your wonderful sense of humour with me. May I always be blessed with a cheerful heart to enjoy life as You intended. I give thanks in the name of Him who showed us in His words and actions Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
