Grandmama Zen: Silence
Does silence exist?
Grandmama Zen is a series dedicated to raising the vibration of a lonesome Grandmother. The series began with a personal download. Isn't this where much of our inspiration comes, via pain, fear, loss? The second hub examined how beauty causes our vibration level to rise. The third hub considered the positive effects of gratitude.
Today's hub focuses on silence, as in, "Sit in silence for one minute, three, forty. Appreciate yourself, the Universe, Earth School, the other, however long it takes."
Toward that end:
- I have uploaded a lengthy video of a radio-controlled glider plane for your meditative consideration. Consider this: gliders are thought to be very silent. Is this glider silent even after the motor shuts off? Disconnect your thoughts as the glider disconnects from the engine. Push the mute button. Let your thoughts come and go as in meditation. Is there a moment when you hear nothing?
- I have composed a prayer based on the Traditional Native Prayer from the hub on beauty.
- I have reduced my words to explanations and poetry.
Do you believe silence exists?
Transformed Native Prayer
Hands of time by the earth's rotation opening
I have witnessed your passing.
Dog star, full moon, meteor shower circulating,
Dark night, Challenger, your passing I've absorbed,
Cirrus, cumulonimbus, blue sky rising I note with awe,
This day your servant I am, come what may.
Play your music.
Sing to me of universal healing.
I am stardust, hold me like a sister.
As I admire you, admire me.
As you admire me, so will I admire you.
May ethereal flutes alight before me.
May ethereal flutes alight behind me.
May ethereal flutes alight below me.
May ethereal flutes alight above me.
May it be silvery sound all around me.
I am restored in harmony.
I am restored in harmony.
I am restored in harmony.
I am restored in harmony.
