He had three for you

The significance of the nails.

When we accept Jesus as our Savior here is what the three nails Jesus took for you on the cross represents:

One nail represents the nail of our sin. We have all fallen short of Gods glory and Jesus took that nail to suffer the punishment of our sin. This gives us the power to die to sensuality. To the lusts of the body whether it be an addiction or a bad disposition. The power of that nail frees us from its hold on us.

The second nail represents self. We all have the disposition to be self seeking. I don’t care what you want, what is important is what I want. That is crucified on the cross and we become more concerned about Jesus seeking. Not my will but Thy will be done is now our mantra. To want to be self centered. We want to be noticed. It could be because we are beautiful or rich or smart or have a better house or car than our neighbour. Now we are Christ centered. We desire to have Jesus to be the focus of our lives. How can I exhibit You Jesus is more important than look at me.

The last and perhaps most important nail is self sufficiency. I did it my way. I am a self made man or woman. I don’t need anybodies help. When that is crucified we become reliant on God, not ourselves. We depend upon God for our daily needs like food, clothing and a place to live. We depend upon God to choose our husband or wife and friends.

As we understand these important nails it should move us deeply to be grateful unto Christ and immensely love Him. It will be reflected in our lives which is one of the greatest ways to show gratitude. After all, isn’t imitation the greatest compliment you can give? It will also exhibit to others the importance of accepting Jesus into our lives.

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. Ephesians 1:7 New International Version

Again, the glory of one attribute is more seen in one work than in another: in some things there is more of His goodness, in other things more of His wisdom is seen, and in others more of His power. But in the work of redemption all His perfections and excellencies shine forth in their greatest glory.Thomas Boston

Prayer: Oh my beloved Jesus, I cannot thank you enough for this supreme act of love. A thank you seems so minute a word to say to express my gratitude for this astonishing act of love. I thank you in Your adoring name. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

Good morning teaches.

I am happy to have enlightened you and thereby brought you closer to Christ.

May you enjoy your walk through the garden with Jesus. I of course am referring to the beautiful song "And He walks with me." Maybe you might want to listen to it while enjoying your time with Jesus in your garden.
