Heartbreak and Hope

My brothers, National Guard Helicopter Crew Chiefs

Echoing still through my soul

The rifle salute

It’s final

A family never again whole

I taught him how

To ride a bike

I gave him baths

When just a tyke

As an infant

Often sick

ER trips

And needle sticks

My heart still breaks

And I grieve him still

As years go by

The hole won’t fill

He was my first

Child to mother

This my friend

My baby brother

Safe in the arms of Jesus

The song is true

And hope is mine

I will see you

And God bless you, Seakay. There is a strength that comes from sharing. I pray that you have reason to hope even through your heartache.

Some one once said.. "don't trust faith pre pain" (I just forget who that was at the minute, but it will come back to me) however I suspect you know the truth of that. It is the deep stuff that really matters eh!

Bless you U Neek
