He's Holding Me
No matter where I go or what I am doing, there is one person who I can always count on. He has made a promise to never ask more of me than I can do and I believe that. He is a friend and the one person I look to for advice. Even in my darkest hours God has been there holding me, cradling me like a mother cradles her child. He is the God of all and has the ability to lift any burden we have at any time as long as we are willing to turn it over to Him. I realize though that sometimes it is necessary for us to endure tough and sorrowful times in order to really appreciate the good and happy time. Too many times we get so comfortable when things are going well and forget who is really in charge of it all. The same Lord who gives is the Lord who takes away. Sometimes we lose things because He sees we are not doing as He commands us and other times it is just time to part for no apparent reason. But through it all, whether we agree or understand should not be an issue, just a reminder that He is always there. Even in those times of loss, He is there waiting for us to come to Him. He is never the one to move away from us, we are the ones who move from Him. No matter how long we have been apart from Him or what we have done, He is always going to accept us back. Even on the cross, when the the robber asked Jesus to remember him and Jesus replied, "Today you will be with me in paradise." If He is willing to hold onto a thief as they hang and die together, He will surely hold me and you when we turn to Him and ask. All we have to do is ask and believe. He will never turn His back from us.
My greatest stress relief ever is to turn to Him, talk to HIm, listen to Him through reading His word.
