Higher Than Our Ways - 11
I watch my wife sitting, cuddling my 5-year old son, singing lullabies to him. Our children enjoy those moments, as do we, their parents. But the necessities of life seem too often to trump those moments with our children.
But our heavenly father does not have that problem. No matter what else He is up to, He always has time to spend with us, no matter what we need from Him. He speaks to us in our spirits or through His Word during those quiet moments.
In those moments He is our ‘abba’, our daddy. The one we can run to when life becomes overwhelming. The one we can run to when we need answers. The one we can run to when those around us abandon us.
Romans 8:15- “For you have received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out ‘Abba! Father!’”
What a blessing that we can count on God to always have the time for us.
