Higher Than Our Ways - 12

Man has created beautiful works of art. From the Sistine Chapel to the Burj Khalifa to the Lord of the Rings story. No matter your preference in art or beauty, there is something for everyone to admire. But no person has yet created any work of art that all people find amazing, beautiful or mystifying.

However, there is one work of art which has mystified generations since the beginning, a full canvas in which all cultures have found beauty. And the artist is God.

Psalm 19:1- “The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.”

God put in place his own work of art, meant to draw our eye with its beauty, and draw our spirit with its evidence of God’s reality.

Psalm 8:3- “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained…”

The Bible doesn’t say ‘if’ I consider, but ‘when’ I consider. This is a clear mandate to take some time and check out God’s artwork and be reminded that He is God.
