"If God Loved the World"...

                                          "If God Loved the World"…

It is easy to see the love of God when things go our way-

A birth of a healthy, newborn baby,

Seeing a child succeed in school,

Spending good times with our children,

                        Becoming a grandparent,

                        Baking cookies for our grandchildren,

                        Getting a well-deserved job promotion,

                        Living a comfortable life or

To have family and friends who are always there for us.

What about when things do not go our way?-

                        Women who are infertile,

                        Families with special needs children,

Children who are defiant to their parents,

Parents who are abusive to their children,

An unexpected passing away of a loved one,

Working people who lose their jobs,

                        A failing economy,

                        Living an impoverished life,

Friends who spite you for no apparent reason or

To have families who are worse than enemies.

Then we have to ask ourselves, "If God loved the world, why does he  allow so  much ugliness and suffering in people's lives?"

We, therefore, need to be reminded that God endured many, and yet, undeserved sufferings.

He suffered unspeakable, painful physical beatings,

His own followers openly rebuked and betrayed him.

In spite of all the tremendous hardships that Christians come across,

Nonetheless, He did not stop loving us.

Although, as followers of Christ, we are inevitably going to suffer for His name's sake.

            Hence, stand up for God and be strong in your faith;

Always remember that God gave His only begotten Son to die for our sins, so that we may have eternal life with Him in heaven.

                                                                                                                           John 3:16

This Hub says it very well. God is a gentleman and does not interfere in our lives unless we ask Him to. He does create the ugliness that we have in this world satan does. Voted Up!

I think god has a great master plan that we don't know about. I am all for Gods beautiful ways that show up in our lives a pet that gives us so much comfort and joy. The sun that shines and keeps everything warm. The clean water that we drink. A young couple who gets married and are planning their future. You pointed out so many good things like family, friends , new born baby to mention a few. The list is endless. Then those things we don't like.... losing a job....someone getting sick, divorce, car accidents. That list can be overwhelming too. What we have to do is look a little deeper.Finding a new job that we like and work less and get paid more.Getting better and doing more to stay healthy.Maybe exercise more.Finding a new love that will work with you and help you grow. Helping others in a time of need and respecting the rules of the road more closely. We often don't realize those changes brought about good things in our life we never would of had if it wasn't for the bad that happened. I loved the way your hub rolled with the good and the bad.Seeing both sides is so important.Beautifully done.

Thank you very much for the wonderful comment, DREAM ON! I do like your quote, "We often don't realize those changes brought about good things in our life we never would of had if it wasn't for the bad that happened"-very true! It is by God's trials that we mature both mentally and spiritually, which brings us closer to the Lord. When we are always successful, we do not learn as much and life becomes rather meaningless. We always need to take the good with the bad, and realize that sometimes, we will be on top of the world while other times, we will have more challenging situations. Thank you for visiting my hub and the very kind words!

P.S.

I apologize for the very not replying sooner-have not had the chance to be on HubPages lately.
