Inside the Bayley House! (Investigation)

Inside the Bayley House

Just about every paranormal investigator in the area has requested to do an investigation of the inside the Bayley House, to no avail. Jon Almada and I got lucky, or we just live right; and we were offered a private tour of the 150 year old brick structure.

The historical landmark is located in Pilot Hill, CA on Highway 49. The house was built in 1861 by A. J. Bayley. Bayley was an entrepreneur and believed the railrood would be built near the home. He decided that the small town needed an inn when that occurred... however, it never happened, so A.J. and his family moved into the 10,000 sqare foot home. The home has had many owners since, but has stood vacant for many years.

It is presently owned by the Friends of the Bayley House, which is a non-profit organization created to facilitate its restoration, working with the Georgetown Divide Recreation District.

On Sunday, January 4th Jon Almada from Ghostrider Paranormal Investigations and I met John Crane, a volunteer with the restoration committee, outside the house. John was kind enough (wonderful enough!) to take us inside and to give us a comprehensive tour of the place. I took over 30 photographs of the inside of the house, and caught ten spirit orbs, and what I believe to be a shadow figure in the process. Jon had his digital recorder and got several fantastic EVPs inside the house, including one that bid us welcome as we walked in the front door.

Jon Almada and I would like to express our deep appreciation to John Crane and the owners of the Bayley House for allowing us to investigate it. It was a trill of a lifetime for both Jon and I.

Here are some of the photographs I took from inside the house: (Hub Pages would not permit me to add any close ups of the orbs I captured at this investigation because they were pixelated.)

Those are not ghosts, morons. Almost 100% of the time when you take digital photos in old attics and other dusty environs you have those "orbs" it is a result of the digital camera processing the tiny speck of dust mid-air.

I beg to differ with you UR Amateurs--All orbs are not dust in the air 100% of the time--but you're partly right, as quite often that is the case. It takes an expert to know the difference. I happen not only to be an expert paranormal investigator of over 40 years, but was also a professional photographer for over 30 years and am a psychic sensitive.

It's your prerogative to disagree with my article, but I certainly wouldn't call you a "Moron" for your opinion, even though I'm sure you have much less experience in these sort of things than I do.

Well, if we were taking dust, we would have captured much more of it! The entire place was loaded with dirt and dust. I have been a professional photographer for over 20 years, and I know dust and I know what spirit energy looks like. You're entitled to your opinion and I thank you for offering it, but I don't agree with you. Unfortunately, Hub Pages told me I had to remove the close ups because they were too pixelated. If you could see the close ups you would probably think differently. :o)

Dust isn't a light source hullo!

Good work! Would like to hear some of those evps!

Thanks for your support, Chikin... I am a professional photographer, so I know what dust looks like and this is not dust. I think people are afraid to see the truth when it slaps them in the face sometimes. I have caught too many orbs when I have felt a spirit presence near me for them to be dust or reflections, or anything else unenlightened people want to make excuses for. Anyway, thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment. I hope you have time to read more of my "musings."

You could shoot film and take that whole dust question off the table. Less pixelated close ups too.

Right tool for the right job. If I were investigating paranormal, I'd be shooting film. Detractors will still detract, but that's always going to be true.

Thanks for dropping by and for taking the time to comment, Steve. I have to tell you that I was a professional photographer for many years and used only film while being so, but digital is much more convenient... and you never run out of film or have to change the roll at an inopportune moment. Also, I have captured many orbs using a film camera as well. I know what dust looks like in a photograph...

Thanks again for your comments.

Saturday, May 11, eight of us stopped to have a KFC picnic at one of the nice big shaded tables. The bathroom facility was great and we enjoyed chatting with & petting the two goats in the fenced area. It was a terrific rest from the heat. We are looking forward to seeing something special come of the restoration.

Hopefully they will continue with the restoration. Thanks for the update, Ann. This article is about 4 years old already, so they've had lots of time to work on it. :o)

Christine - I would love to contact you! I moved to Pilot hill about a year ago and have been so drawn to the Bayley house. I have been strongly awakening to my gifts and visit frequently. I heard the name John, and got details that I looked up and validated after. I posted something today and realized that AJ's birthday is today. Not a coincidence...I would love to understand these investigations more and see if I can get a personal tour myself. =D
