Is money a sin?

There are countless passages out there in the Bible about money. Along with these passages comes even more interrpretations of what they really mean.

There is the theory that, if you have any modern technologies, you are unable to follow the word of God and you will not end up in Heaven. Then there is the theory of, it's what you do that defines who you are.

I am a firm believer in the latter, that if you are blessed with a lot of money, you should do God's work with it (not like God really needs money to do what it is he wants). Giving money to those in need, and helping is something you should do with or without a modest income. But I don't see how having large sums of money makes you a sinner or will negatively impact you.

I am looking towards the community here to see their insight on this topic. Let's take a couple polls and see what comments you have.

Its the LOVE of money that is sinful. If your life, love and faith are wrapped up in attaining wealth by any means necessary (theft, prostitution or murder). Or not sharing the wealth once its attained with those in need, then yes it becomes a sin. All things in moderation.
