Janam Kundli: The Major Ground of Astrology

Significance, As It Holds

Janam Kundli can be described as a graphical representation of the positioning of different astrological planets, as at the time of birth of a person, in concord to the place of birth. The nine astrological planets which are considered and accepted by Vedic Astrology include Sun, Moon, Mars, mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu. This list clearly does not stand in parallel to the list of the planets of the physical planetary system. Sun, which is scientifically considered as a star, is a planet here. Also, Rahu and Ketu, which do not hold any physical existence, are also in the list. Out of that reason, they are referred as shadow planets.

The first and foremost doubt which might strike one’s mind is about the purpose and significance of having a Janam Kundli. As already stated, it portrays the different planetary positions, and thus their varied mutual combinations in graphic form. The significance is in the beliefs of Vedic Astrology. According to those beliefs, these planetary positions and combinations as formed at the time of the birth of a person, holds a dominating influence on the entire life of that person, on the whole as well as in all minor and major bits.

That influence can only be sensed by those who are unaware of the elaborate principles of Vedic Astrology. However, astrologers and other intellectuals of astrology can derive a lot out of that information to predict, assess, and determine the past, present, and future of the life of a person, the intrinsic traits and attributes of a person, the various ups and downs which one has to go through in life at different points of time, and one’s destiny as in different aspects of life such as health, wealth, relationships, family, career, etc. All these aspects are considered to get influenced individually as well as mutually by positioning of planets and different combinations as they form with one another.

When Is It Used?

  1. For Determining Apt Astrological Remedies
As everyone knows that life is about good as well as bad times. In astrology beliefs, they are considered as a part of one’s destiny as created out by past Karma and different planets. However, destiny is not as rigid as believed and projected. Good times can be stimulated and bad times can be eliminated or pacified to less intensity by performing astrology based remedies. Suggesting those remedies is only possible when an astrologer have an access to one’s Janam Kundli or birth chart.
  2. For Drawing Horoscope Predictions:
Drawing daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly horoscope predictions about one’s life can be stated as the second most significant purpose of Janam Kundli. Horoscope predictions are like an immediate version of the conclusions of your birth chart. They provide you with the predictions of the instantly closest time. Therefore, one gets easily related to them and follows them more strenuously.
  3. For Kundli Matching Process:
Its significance at the time of Kundli matching can undoubtedly make to this list. Without a doubt, marriage can be called as one most prominent decision of one’s life. The way one takes that decision highly influences a major part of one’s life. In the beliefs of Hindu religion and Vedic astrology, marriage has been described as one sacred union, which is meant to abide more by two souls, rather than two physical bodies. Once they are into that union, they should do what all is possible to maintain it in a pleasant way.

However, it is very common for one to frequently come across with news of splits and separations. This is so because two particular individuals are believed to be destined to either hold good compatibility or not-so-good compatibility, which is reflected with their respective Janam Kundli. Kundli Matching process, which includes a detailed individual as well as mutual assessment of Kundli of a boy and girl, confirms if the individuals in question are destined to share a good marital relationship, or not.
