Jesus has been hidding on earth for over 2000 years yet men did not know it.

I can’t believe that for over 2000 yrs. Jesus has been living and hiding here on earth with us yet we didn’t know it.

I never really had any reason to think or believe that Jesus has been living some where here, on earth, for over 2000 yrs. Yet we did not know it. Is it possible that he is both in heaven and on earth? Some people can say yes because as a spiritual being he is expected to be everywhere just as spirit are said to be everywhere although most people do not see them.

Jesus said he was going back to his father in heaven. Even his apostles said he sat on the right hand of his father. Jesus also promised to come back for his apostles although none of them lived to see his return however he promised them that where he was going they will be there with him. Many people just took the bible verses the way it was written so many Christians believe that Jesus is in heaven.

We know that there are various theories of heaven, hell, afterlife, soul, and spirit. In fact it seems virtually all spiritual matters are in conflict as there are not generally accepted. Why not, even when those that belief in God teach different things about him? I just happened to listen to an argument between a Jehovah witness and other Christians. They were talking on the meaning of soul. The witness claimed that soul is physical which means it is the part of us we can feel and that the souls dies. While others tried to say that soul is a spiritual entity just like spirit so it is not the same as our body. The argument later changed direction when heaven and paradise came in.

It is known that the Jehovah witness teach that only a limited number of people will go to heaven while others will live in a paradise on earth. Other Christians believe that all righteous people will go to heaven and that the earth will be destroyed in the last day when Jesus returns or what? As the argument went on I listened carefully without contributing to the argument. The witness members had to bring a bible to support their claim about the soul and other teachings. Then somebody then asked, so the paradise that was talked about meant here, on earth? The witness agreed that God promised to make this earth a paradise so that is where others will live. The guy then said if paradise is here on earth it means Jesus is living here on earth. I wondered why he said that and others wondered the same. Then he continued, this is because Jesus told the thief on the cross “today you will be with me in paradise.” People could not help but laugh. However, I then wondered if the Jehovah’s Witness are right that earth is the paradise then it means Jesus has been living and hiding among us for over 2000 years and we never knew it. Then I wondered the part of the earth he may be found. Is he like one of us or does he living in other forms or what?

Morning David :0)

Great Hub!!!

I also Heard that the Mormons believe that Bigfoot is Cane and they are serious about this...reason for it is as we know Cane was told he would be a wonderer on earth after killing Able and he would never kick the bucket- although I’m sure he has seen the invention of many buckets :0)

All that said If I was Satan I would get people involved in religious arguments so that they would keep their eyes of the true source, for we all know what you use as your source determines your course ( no idea who said that but they were right)

Loved your hubs…have a great week !!!!

Thanks Mike for leaving those words. It is my first to hear that about Cane. It just confirm the different religious views held by people.

You are so right about each religion having different beliefs, as well as different versions of the Bible. I believe Jesus lives in us and that there is a heaven. "He ascended into heaven to be seated at the right hand of the Father." If there is no heaven we're all in deep doo doo.

Ah, yes, there certainly is a heaven! As for paradise on Earth? Not until Jesus reigns here after Satan is bound in hell with all those poor non believers with him. Jehovah Witnesses are a cult and so are the Mormons. My husband nearly got taken in by them; they are so convincing. Our souls are not physical neither our spirits. Only our bodies. And the Jesus we experience fellowship with each day is the Holy Spirit; although I do believe Jesus can and does show himself to some people when they need Him the most. Bless Him!

Lookseenow, I understand that there are a lot of things to say on this issue so am glad you are able to make another hub from it via your intended comment.

Tillsontitan, its clear that Christians have various doctrines and each claim to know the truth. It is an issue that calls for mutual respect.

Susie, you have continued to interest me. You said mormon and witnesses are cults. Well, I have heard that before and I dn't know why people say that. You said, you husband escaped from them but he is a mormon.

My late husband began a friendship with a woman who came to our door back in the early 90's. My present husband (the man I married 8 yrs. ago) is a Mormon; he hasn't been to their church in over 10 yrs. My reason for saying they're a trap is because of all the things you can't do...wear shorts, drink soda or any other kind of caffeine, dance, drink a beer, etc. etc. They place so many restrictions on people. They forget that Jesus was the One who turned water into wine at a wedding! What happened to just worshipping and loving the Lord? They also have turned a so called prophet's book into another Bible! (Joseph Smith) They remind me of the Pharisees and Saduccees in the Bible.

David: Indeed, one by one, as the apostles died physically, their spirits returned to heaven.

Indeed the sinner on the cross next to Jesus, went with Jesus to paradise. Who says that Jesus, being the Son of God, and God himself, could not guide that person to paradise and then return to the bowels of the earth and hell, to fulfil his godly mission of redemption.

The Witness person has been brainwashed with witness teachings. Jesus teaches us that anyone who accepts Jesus as redeemer is cleansed of their sin and will see heaven. Did Jesus lie? I think not.

You mean for over ten yrs. your present husband has not been to their church? Does he still see himself or call himself a member of the mormons? From your comment it means he did stop going to church before he married you 8 yrs ago so did he complain about mormons and their teachings. I understand that some religious path think that alcohol and other activities affect spiritual growth but it depends on their choosen path and how we get involved in such activities. Noah was a drunk yet saved.

Dave, the witness believe that only a limited number of people will go to heaven, while the rest will inherit a paradise earth. They claim it is written in the bible. They also do not belief that Jesus is God. I do not understand why people say Jesus is God while Jesus said many things about himself being and not being God. Well, he can be god to some people after men worship objects and it works for them.

Susie, I asked you the above question. I do not know why a name did not appear on the comment.

Susieq42 5 years ago

Yes, it's been ten years since he was a member. He said he never felt "worthy", meaning that giving up all of the above was hard to do. The Mormons place so many restrictions on people that they don't dare breathe?????

Susie, I want to get the points better. I understand that your husband finds it hard to follow the restrictions. But I asked, if he has not been to church for ten yrs now and does he still call himself a mormon? Why can't he leave if he can't live by their roles? I know that restrictions in spiritual matters depends on the path followed and understanding. That is why an unborn child said, "Even those in the mystery do not know the mystery hidden in the mystery." Well, a spiritual being should be different.

David: After The Apocolypse, and after Armegeddon, those humans still alive once Jesus reclaims earth will indeed live upon a new earth and God will dwell amongst them.

Apocalypse, and Armageddon are not the same. Apocalypse, and Revelation mean uncovering. Armageddon is the climax of the great tribulation. I fear you hubbers will fuss at me for harping on this, but I think it’s a mark of a good writer to provide references. You make statements, and offer opinions, but no references. An editor will look for that before he will continue reading your manuscript.

My references are (Revelation 16:14, 16) Please look them up and read how nations are now being gathered by the media. What the media displays is being inspired by what Revelation likens to expressions inspired by demons that are performing signs. These signs are causes making these critical times hard to deal with, and are part of how kings of the entire inhabited earth are being gathered to the war of the great day of God the Almighty. Armageddon is not man’s war, it’s not WW3, it’s not destruction from outer space, no it’s God’s war called Armageddon.

(Revelation 16:16)

Go to http://www.watchtower.org/ type in the search box the word armageddon

Dave, I think Lookseenow replied to your comment based on your mention of those events. I think its best to use references to support claim except its a new claim of which one is the originator. However, using the bible as reference is relative because other sources do not agree with it. Many people claim that Jesus not God will lead the war between evil and good except if Jesus and God are one. The issue of a final war and when it will happen is what no one can say with certainty except based by faith.

David, if your reported conversation has given us anything, it is more fruitful dialogue about our Father and Lord. One always has to be careful not to alienate those we wish to converse with. Sometimes the beliefs are so diametrically opposed, we can only smile and wish them well. Nice hub you wrote, there are many great comments added. Cheers.

Jason you said it right that it is better we just smile but it is for those that understands why the differences exist and that there is no need to get angry as we would not want others to get agree because of our beliefs. Thanks.
