Leave It With The Lord
Psalm 56:3
When I am afraid, I will put my trust in Thee.
I am so much more of aware now of the things that make me anxious. I will think about them now and choose whether or not I should worry about them. Before I would get myself into a really bad worry state and now when something pops into my head that I would normally stress about I just immediately ask God to help me. Worry is an addiction and I think it is a very bad one. It is bad for your health, job and relationships. I pray about it right away, and if it pops in again later, in which it mostly will, I pray again. I have struggled with worry and anxiety for a long time and only in the last year or so it has improved. But in the last week or so I have felt victorious. The difference has been that now I actually leave it with the Lord. Honestly, before I thought I would leave with the Lord but I would go and take it back. I want to encourage any of you who struggle with worry, stress or anxiety to please try this. Just pray constantly if you have to. Eventually you will be victorious. Of course this is good for any addiction.
"Pray without ceasing."—1 Thessalonians 5:17.
