Life from Death

Angel of Grief
Angel of Grief
The Specter of Death
The Specter of Death
Solitude...Alone...
Solitude...Alone...

Death from Life

death

is only experienced

alone

in solitude

in a lonely place

death

is not to be feared

Jesus triumphed

over the specter

the fear

of death

Jesus overcame death

death no longer the end

no longer a punishment

death is birth

is new life

death

brings me to Jesus

both here in this life

and the life to come

death

a passageway

through which i come

my journey starts at creation

i enter the sphere of death

but – do not fear

Jesus

conquered fear

removed the punishment

made the way complete

death is my journey to life

to Jesus

to God – my Father

death

the route i must go

the route all must travel

The Freeing Way Home - Death

only in Jesus
only in Jesus

Jesus

travelled death first

cleared the way

the way of death

no longer shrouded in darkness

now

a pathway of light

light of the Son of God – Jesus

Jesus

the way in darkness

Jesus

lit the way

the path

a way

to be embraced

joyfully anticipating the destination

no shorter way

short cut or

way around

death

is the way home

from creation to arrival

it is my journey

only in the light of Jesus

can i see my way

have hope of arrival

have joy in the travel

only in Jesus

am i safe

from the deceiver of darkness

only in Jesus

am i safe

kept from the siren calls of the dark one

Death Valley
Death Valley

only in the death of Jesus

am i kept safe

secure in my journey to life

death is my way

made so by Jesus

til i come out of death into

life

heaven

home

stay on the path provided by God

crucified with Jesus

death – reborn

now

a way to life

only

when i leave the path

the way Jesus has forged

do i fall into the place

of lostness

of darkness

of annihilation

only

when i falsely and arrogantly

attempt to

make my own life

forge my own path

my own destiny

do i die

there is only one path

there is only one way

enter the way of death to find

true life

eternal life

a way kept from those who seek to keep

their own way

their own life

their own “I”

my own “I” must crumble and die

i will only find life in the “I Am”

death

now the servant of Jesus

journeyed first by Him

to make the way for

my journey to full life

death is my way

death is my journey

i follow it’s path to life

to Jesus

learn to see in the light of Jesus

follow the path to the end

one day

i will come over the rise

there before me

in all it’s eternal glory

will be the city of God

waiting for me

will be

my Father, my God

my Brother, my King

oh

what joy awaits me on this path of death

both in the travel and in the end

will i try to make a life

or will i embrace death through the life of Jesus

will i let my “I” die

and

live in the “I Am”

am i willing to stay on the journey of death to life

i must die

i must decrease so Jesus can increase...am i willing to be nothing...as He is everything

Confessional Prayer

oh Jesus

in You, You alone is beauty, and life, and love; the great “I Am” took on death, conquered it so

that i could find life through His death and live in Him. i journey through death into Him who is

life. Jesus, i have strayed off the path that You have laid for me i ask for Your forgiveness. i

have attempted to forge my own way my own path; it is impossible; forgive me for not only

turning from Your way but despising it i did not want to die; i did not want to be less; i did not

want to live through you but “I” wanted to live.

forgive me

i confess Your way is the only way the way of death for “I.” Jesus I ask You; my Lord, my King,

my Way... please receive me, into Your Way, into Your Death, into Your Self.

Ulrike... it just gets better with your writing, you capture the essence of much of what we all feel in but a few words.

Defiantly voted up and highly recommended for all to read.

Thank you Quill...I have a much different view of death since the Lord began showing me the blessing of the event. We are not "going" to die...we are daily dying! And in so doing getting closer and closer to real life! Praise God. Hope all things are going better with you. I know it was a bit of an uphill for you for a while. We are keeping you and Mrs. Quill in our prayers. Bless you brother. Love Ulrike Grace

Thankyou Ulrike Grace for taking on such a challenging and difficult topic in your writing. We have been taught and brought up in a culture that fears death and strives with all human effort to avoid it. Alas, it is the destiny of everyone to once die in this life. However, all praise be to God for giving us eternal life, life in the Spirit that the death of this clay vessel cannot effect. In fact when this vessel dies and falls back to dust, our eternal life, our spirit which has been made alive and new is Jesus Christ is "released" to return to it's Creator! Oh glorious day! "What a day that will be when my Jesus I will see, when I look upon His face, the One who saved me by His grace. When He takes me by the hand and leads me to the promised land, what a day glorious day that will be!" I say amen by beautiful sister. Keep looking to Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith and the day of death will be a glorious day. Love rls4Immanuel

Amen rls...what a day indeed that will be! And together with you I look forward to it. My heart grieves for those who by their own choice refuse such a gift but have hope that even yet they will turn their eyes towards Him who is their only hope. Thank you for your encouraging words...your comments are always appreciated and looked forward to. Bless you...love Ulrike Grace

There have been times in my life, like many others...where death was a threat from the enemy and his demonic realm. I've been in some of those dark places, where at the time, it was hard to see the light! God is there, even in our darkest hours. This world is so much about death, too bad so many are led astray...when all they have to do, is turn to the lighted path of truth and love:)

This is indeed an excellent hub Ulrike Grace. Very beautiful poetry. I find it very comforting and very inspiring. Truly in death, death to self, death to sin, death to the world we find life in Christ. Blessings to you and your family. Best regards.

@heart4theword...Amen and no longer do we have to be afraid of the darkness or death. That is a lie from the enemy as where Jesus is there is light and He took the sting out of death as we know now it is the path to life! Thanks for your comments and for giving this a read. Hang on to Jesus there is never a dark moment in His presence! Love Ulrike Grace

@ cristina327 ...I like how you put this..."Truly in death, death to self, death to sin, death to the world we find life in Christ."...death is NOT the end...it is the beginning...in all its aspects...thanks for reading and taking the time to comment...blessings to you Ulrike Grace

RevLady...my hubby and I had some great talks over this issue...we are so afraid to talk about death in our culture but as Christians we should have nothing to fear anymore...thanks sweet one for stopping and having a read...your thoughts and comments are always appreciated. Love Ulrike Grace

You've raised one of life's greatest challenges, to rest our dreams, hopes and aspirations less and less in this world and ever more in the one to come. Like Paul, I can not say I have perfected this, for I still find myself turning in trust to the things of this world at times. Where would we be without His grace!

Great writing Grace. We all have a fear of death at some point in our lives. Trusting in the promises of God is what gets us through. It comforts us also in the death of loved ones who have died in Christ. We can look forward to the day when we will see them again in glory rather than the desparate thought that they are gone forever.

Thanks for the reassuring words.

@Parrster...Without His infinite grace we would all be right where we were...hopeless. Praise God, He gave us Jesus as our perfect hope! Parrster, the road to awareness and living in the sphere of Kingdom of God, I believe anyway, is a process. The more I submit to the Lordship of Jesus through His Spirit, the more I am aware of my appointed place in the kingdom...He is good to give sight to those of us who once could not see or understand. Thanks for reading and your thoughtful comments. Love you brother...Ulrike Grace

@Kristeen...Thank you for your kindness...hear of death holds so many of us back from the fullness of what God has for us...yes, and isn't it wonderful that our loved ones in Christ are not gone forever...but are now in the next phase of their life...glorious!!!...Blessings to you, Ulrike Grace

Very beautifully written. Death - we need not fear! Amen...sometimes I think I fear the "I" dying more than death itself...love you sister

@coffeesnob...your right...physical death we don't have any control over...but for the "I"...we want to control it...but we just can't inmagine how God has planted His beauty in us that comes out only in the "us" dying under the control of God's control. Oh for the beauty of the Lord to be evident in us...thanks for reading cs and for your kind comments...love you Ulrike Grace
