MANKIND; LOVERS OF THEMSELVES

Updated on May 27, 2016

FEAR GOD AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS

Take a good look at Society; you would think there is nothing but good times here and now, and nothing but good times lie ahead. This what the world believes anyhow. And get this, this world believes if anything goes wrong, they say, hey we can fix it. But, if that was the case this world would be in better shape than it is now. Mankind put all their faith into themselves, not God, they feel they have all the power to do what they please. In this case I am talking about America, we have the greatest pride, and you know what the Bible says about pride, "Pride goes before a fall." But America does not listen to God anyways, if we did we would not have all this trouble we are experiencing. Listen, America boasts of their riches, but yet we have so many poor and homeless people stranded in our streets. We have so much intellect and technology, yet so many people are dying from diseases, babies born deformed. Then we have planes falling out of the skies and we don't know why, trains being derailed, New cars are being recalled to the Manufacturers. Look America's power is dependent on God, in fact the whole world's power is given to them by God, their power is limited, but yet, they take all the credit for what God is doing through them. They should give God the Glory.

So what am I saying? the way mankind lives their lives, they foolishly believe they are living in a so-called golden age. They believe they have the power to do anything they wish, if something breaks down they believe they can fix it themselves. But contrary to their belief they are not indestructible, neither are the things they make. For some reason they keep forgetting about the Titanic. God allowed that big ship to sink, to punish mankind's pride. God did not say these days we are living in now is the golden age, but quite the opposite.

In the Bible the Book of 1 Timothy 4:1 reads, "Now the Spirit (God) speaks clearly, that in latter times (last days which we are living in now) some shall depart from the faith." Then in the Book of 2 Timothy 3:1 it reads, "This know also that in the last days terrible times shall come." Hello! Those days are here now. You may ask how do I know we are living in those terrible times? Well, 2 Timothy 3:2 reads, "For men shall be lovers of their own selves." Some of you don't believe that do you? Well, the Bible goes on describing who these lovers of themselves are, pay attention and see if these descriptions do describe mankind. The Bible said they will be covetous (lovers of money), boaster, proud, arrogant, disobedient to parents, not thankful, unholy, unkind, truce breakers (unforgiving), false accusers, violent, conceited, gain control over weak. These truly describes mankind. I can go on, but I will stop here, if you want to go on read 2 Timothy 3:2-7.

Mankind have committed the greatest, they have worship themselves and rejected God. I leave this Scripture with you, Ecclesiastes 12:13 and it reads, "Fear God and keep His Commandments for this the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it is good, or whether it is evil." Trust God's Word, all people will have to stand before God for judgment for what they have done in this life, good and bad. Human effort apart from God is futile, put God First---now. How strange it is that people spend all their lives striving for the very enjoyment God gives freely as a gift. All Glory Belongs To God!
