Morning Coffee with Jesus - January 21, 2010

 Greetings loved ones!

Today’s “Morning Coffee with Jesus” comes from Isaiah 40:30-31.  "Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Have you ever considered that if we live - REALLY live wholly in submission to the God what the world could be like!  However, being human, we succumb to anxieties and fears which we were never meant to endure.  When we get a taste of relaxed, carefree living - if only for a moment, the heart longs for more and is disappointed when we don't have more of it.

By shedding some of the layers of responsibilities we often take upon ourselves, we get closer to "care free" although we never really escape to it altogether.  As long as we have kids and homes, which need our care, there will be "layers" of responsibilities.  However, so much of what we "have to do" is self-imposed!

One of my goals this year is to free up my personal time so that I can enjoy a more spontaneous life.  Of course I'll stick to my plans of a new job, family, and church but I will not take on any more unless the Lord makes it abundantly clear that "this is the way, now walk in it."

So what additional "stuff" have you taken on that you can shed to make life a little less hurried and harried for you?  What can you let go of so that you can take time to bask in the warmth of God’s love and not feel guilty for doing so?  Allow God to reveal how overburdened you are, and ask Him to help you unburden yourself.  God cares about our days and the work we have planned for each day.  And only He can renew your strength.

Have an awesome day in Jesus. Go MAD in someone’s life today!

Stay sweet,
stay broken,
stay His!
