The following is a partial list of gospel realities. Every reality on the list is true of every born again child of God because of the finished work of Jesus Christ, not because of our own performance. Acceptance of these 'in-Christ' realities energizes the power and love of God in our relationships with one another, as does nothing else. I challenge the reader to put these to the test, for God's Word accomplishes what He sends it to accomplish- you will not be disappointed!

1. (Insert your spouse's name here) is holy and without blame (blemish, fault) before God (Ephesians 1:4, Colossians 1:22).

2. Instead of trying to change (Insert your spouse's name here) I will change my own mind to truth regarding him/her (Romans 12:2).

3. (Insert your spouse's name here), whom God has pronounced clean from the defilement of sin and from fault, I will not speak of, or think of, as common or unclean (Acts 10:15).

4. Jesus Christ was tortured and died to bare (Insert your spouse's name here) sins, (Insert your spouses name here) errors. (2Corinthians 5:21, Isaiah 53:4-6, Galatians 1:4).

5. (Insert your spouse's name here) was ransomed with the precious blood of Christ from (Insert your spouse's name here) useless ways of life (1Peter 1:18-19).

6. (Insert your spouse's name here) is NOT my enemy. I’m not fighting against (Insert your spouse's name here), but against agents of darkness from the headquarters of evil (Ephesians 6:12).

7. (Insert your spouse's name here) is my treasure. As my valuable possession I will honor him/her (1Peter 3:7).

8. (Insert your spouse's name here) old man is crucified with Christ (Romans 6:6) Note: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians 4:22-24).

9. I will not be deceived into harboring (Insert your spouse's name here) faults (2Corinthians 5:16).

10. God began a good work in (Insert your spouse's name here), and will continue to bring it to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

11. God is at work within (Insert your spouse's name here) both to desire and to carry out of his good pleasure (Philippians 2:13).

12. By one offering Jesus Christ has perfected (Insert your spouse's name here) forever. (Insert your spouse's name here) is continuing to be sanctified (developed in holiness) by him (Hebrews 10:14).

13. If in any way (Insert your spouse's name here) thinks differently than what is true in Christ, God will reveal this to (Insert your spouse's name here) (Philippians 3:15).

14. (Insert your spouse's name here) is in God’s care and concern (1Peter 5:7).

15. By God’s doing (Insert your spouse's name here) is in Christ Jesus, who was made unto (Insert your spouse's name here) righteousness, sanctification and redemption (1Corinthains 1:30).

16. God is for (Insert your spouse's name here), who or what can be against (Insert your spouse's name here) (Romans 8:31).

17. God did not withhold even his own son, but delivered him up to death for (Insert your spouse's name here) (Romans 8:32).

18. Am I able to bring a charge against (Insert your spouse's name here) who is the chosen of God, acquitted by the payment of death by Jesus Christ? God has already accepted (Insert your spouse's name here) as righteous (Romans 8:33).

19. Can I condemn (Insert your spouse's name here), even in the slightest way after Jesus Christ died and was raised in (Insert your spouse's name here) behalf and is now at the right hand of God making intercession for (Insert your spouse's name here) (Romans 8:34)?

20. Nothing shall be able to separate (Insert your spouse's name here) from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our lord (Romans 8:39).

21. I will speak the utterances of God concerning (Insert your spouse's name here). I will think thoughts in Christ Jesus concerning (Insert your spouse's name here). I will serve (Insert your spouse's name here) with the strength which God supplies, not by my own. Therefore, how I speak, think and live toward (Insert your spouse's name here) is governed by God’s thoughts and words (1Peter 4:11, Colossians 2:6, Romans 8:2).

24. Jesus Christ died for (Insert your spouse's name here). Therefore, I refuse to know (Insert your spouse's name here) in any way according to (Insert your spouse's name here) flesh, but instead, he/she is a new creation. (Insert your spouse's name here) is made new in Christ.(2Corinthians 5:15-17)

Ephesian 6:12 - "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
