Paranormal or Demonic Experiences - On Being an Empath, and Concerning Warding Off Spirits.

Paranormal Experiences.

Now this story actually starts in 1974, on my date of birth. Somewhere in my teenage years though, I just started having the odd unexplained experience. I've had strange problems for a while, and still have them today. It is evidence that I can't really talk about some things, and this is proved by the exceedingly attractive young female mental health workers that paid me a visit just two days ago.

That's right - and lets not forget the two armed men with metal badges pinned to their shirts that escorted them here either.

Hell, I'd actually say or do lots of strange things if I could only get the friendlier of the two to start dropping by for visits - the women, that is. . .

But fuck it, right? This is my world - and I'll tell it just as it happened. That's just what I do, and if I occasionally get carted off to the state hospital, as I did in 2005, then it's all shits and giggles in the end, and another web page story that will appear as soon as the author is free again.

Of course here in rural Texas - anyone who "hears voices," or "sees things" is most likely to be considered to be under the influence of an intoxicant of some kind, or just extremely mentally ill. You can count me down for "mentally ill" if you like, as I had strange and unmentionable experiences long before I'd ever used any sort of illegal substance.

In any case, I'd like you to take a minute to read about one of several Demon possession stories that I could tell - but this is the only one published, and it's on Info Barrel, and is linked below.

. . .and NO, I couldn't care less if you believe any of this, or anything discussed in the link below.

The Occult.

I don't know anything about the occult. I've always been halfway interested in learning about some of it, but I've also been self aware enough to decide that it just wasn't a good idea for me to investigate it too thoroughly. I am, however, completely unable to avoid the occult. Occult problems just find me. I do not look for them.

Several months ago a friend came over, looked through my books, and asked if If I had any books about witchcraft. I told her that I didn't. She came over again a few weeks later, and without telling me about it - she left a book about witchcraft. No, I've not read the book.

About a month ago another friend came over and was in a tremendous state of distress. He insisted that people in my hometown were praying to demons, and having demons do "this and that," and that there was nothing that I could do about it, and that all was hopeless.

Less than a week ago a friend told me that she was fairly sure that I am what is often referred to as an Empath. As I understand it, the term Empath refers to someone that literally receives stimuli from external forces that are not always flesh and blood.

Yes - I just threw all of modern science out the window, with the exception, of course, of all the possibilities and questions that arise from the sub atomic realm of physics, and the properties therein, that also lie in the more common realms. It's not that I don't like science - it's that I hold a lot of contempt for those who live sterile lives, and think that their five senses have the capability to measure and determine the extent of all reality. We've a limitless universe - and infinity is completely incongruous with human understanding. I've nothing but scorn to offer those who follow the shallow nonsense of the new atheist movement. I'd actually prefer the witches for company, they at least, do have some spirituality and some awe to enjoy.

Evil Spirits.

Source

Warding Off Evil Spirits

So the question, naturally, came up - how does one ward off evil spirits? Of course what I've always used with great affect is one of the following Christian things, the Lord's Prayer, or the Twenty Third Psalm.

You know, I was raised on of of those hard core and often idiotic fundamentalist churches that teaches that the world was created in six days. . . .cause "God said so." Well, anyone with time to think more than half a second about anything can see right through that bullshit - most folks, however, should be able to see an allegory when they read one. It's just a damned shame, in my no so humble opinion, that literary devices and reading comprehension aren't so valued in Rockefeller affected America; but whatever.

No, there is no magical bath that can permanently guarantee someone a trip to harps and clouds land. I sort of wonder what other sort of "magick" those folks believe in, and just where in the cracker jack box is the super secret Bible decoder pen found? Basically, if you are going to a church where the fear of sex is preached because it might lead to dancing, and that magical dips in water reserve eternal spots in Jesus land is the defining principle. I advise you stop going to that congregation - they can't read.

Back to the WARDING thing:

From talking to folks on the net and from researching things on the net - salt is always a warder off of the evil spirits, and the other major thing used is the herb Sage. Now, what I'd read on the net is that Sage and Pine Needles should be burned in your home to ward off evil spirits. But I asked another Lady friend (yes, I love my homeboys - but I'll always prefer women) told me that that could be correct; but that according to a book that I do own and have read - that the Native Americans, and especially the Sioux, used Sage and Cedar to burn together to ward off evil spirits, and to otherwise purify their environment, and especially before turning in for the night.

Demons

The Warding

And so as it happened the female friend who'd left me the book on witchcraft a few months ago came back over for a visit. We were talking about this and about that, and the discussion came up about the evil spirits, the sage, the cedar, the pine needles, and even the salt. All this time my ten thousand mp3 strong media player, forever on random, played in the background.

I asked her what she knew about the warding off of spirits, and she asked,

Do you want me to cast the demons out of your trailer?

Well, hell to the yes, I thought ,

Go for it, please!

. . . Is what I told her, and so she then asked if I had any olive oil, and of course I did and I do, and so she got the olive oil out, and proceeded to smear some above each and every door and window in my tiny travel trailer home. When she was done with that, she came to me, and I'm a bit of a chatter box and she told me to be quite. I did what I was asked. At this very moment in that point in time she smeared some olive oil on my forehead, and The Grateful Dead tune Friend Of The Devil just so happened to be playing on my computer. With her finger and some oil on my forehead, she prayed. The power suddenly went out not just in my trailer, but in the entire area.

She'd cast out every demon on the block.

Friend Of The Devil.

I really got that Wesman. As someone who has had some experience of the paranormal, over the years, I can assure anyone that something is happening in our world.

The problem is, what exactly?

I read your "info barrel" article. Quite scary that, but undoubtedly true.

Stay safe.

Chris.

Wesman, little bro', a great read, I read the info-barrel as well. As per earlier discussion, do I believe you, yes, adamantly, why, 'cuz you told me. Scared is a condition of too soon or too much too late.

I read AM Werner's just published prior to this and feel it was in good order to bring out some thoughtfulness on these issues and the team on which we play, dust

I thoroughly enjoyed the hub and your style of writing makes it all the more interesting. There is an awful lot more to us and the world we live in than what we perceive through our five senses and that is for sure. I am looking forward to reading more of your hubs. Thank you.

WTS insane, stupid etc. I'd be tempted to bitch slap anyone who said those things. Is anyone even sure about what exactly sanity is? A lot of strange shit goes on in this world and while I've not experienced much beyond the normal WTF moments I don't discount anyone's thoughts. To me some folks considered insane make more sense to me than those telling them that. My ex works at a mental health agency and I'm telling you for a fact that those in charge are often the fucking ones that need help and there they are trying to tell someone else how to get well (whatever that means). I've been around a few women who messed around with witchcraft (one I met when I was 17 and fell in love with, though she was married) so I'm totally open to crazy shit happening but I've never had any of that stuff affect me. I actually wanted to feel or experience something like that but it just never happened. My sister saw ghosts, I wanted to meet them but again never did. Not sure why, maybe I'm so evil that evil doesn't even want to visit me. To me anything is possible and folks that claim to know everything, in reality, know little with their closed tiny brains. Don't except those who ? your sanity because it's just a fuckin' word!! Great hub and the info barrel story was great too!

Hi Wes,

My god what an awesome article! If there is one thing that scares the crap out of me it's those arse-hole demons! I remember seeing the move The Exorcist a few years after it's release and I slept with the bloody light on for a month!

As to your hub. Do I believe you? Yes I do, 100%. Not just because it's you that's relating this story - that would be enough for me anyway - but for the simple reason that there is a spirtual realm - in fact there are numerous planes/astrals/realms whatever folks want to call them - and all manner of both goodness and shit live there. They do come through to the physical - frequently

That poor lad! I wonder what eventually happened to him? There is no doubt that something of a negative nature was around him. The thing about posession is that - so the people in the know say - often the spirit/demon or whatever, is actually trying to contact or hit out at others, not the person that is posessed. I'm not saying you heard those horrible sounds because it was hitting at you, it was more than likely because you are empathic/psychic and you obviously have a strong spiritual side that 'it' was attracted to.

I'm a bit psychic myself - in addition to being a bit of an odd ball and hsp! - and I've learned a little about this and that of a spiritual kind. I don't think that I've attracted demons from my spiritual journeyings, but I have at times felt the need to cleanse the area of my home. During the night I will hear knockings, rustling and definitely being touched and spirits do this to get attention. I basically tell them - usually nicely - to go to their own place and let me sleep. On occasion I have got fed up and shouted at them to 'piss off' especially when I'm up for work in the morning. And I'm like you Wes, I don't give a shit who thinks I'm nuts or just a pre-menopausal hormonal freaky female - I know what I sense, feel and hear- and on occasion what I've seen.

But getting back to the point, to cleanse, I simply use consecrated salt -I like the salt that Wiccan friends make as it seems to be very powerful - I also use sandalwood and pine. However I have used the Native American ritual of sage and cedar and this works really well. I have used the 23rd psalm, but you can also use psalm 91 - this also gives very strong protection.

As to mental health and hearing voices and so on. Being a nurse I know it's true that mental illness can cause auditory/visual and smell hallucinations and so on. However, I do believe that during mental illness - and I've been there myself - your mind is certainly more vulnerable to attack by non-mind, non-physical beings. And it can be hard to separate the two at times - but it's certainly not all 'just in the mind' crap that the brain-blocked, brain-locked scientific/aetheist community would have us believe. They view everything within the physcial laws and that is fine. But what many people experience is within the spiritual laws - a different ball game entirely.

As to the 'new aetheist movement' or whatever the hell the tag is - from a personal point of view I think they're freaky people! Not all of them, but a good number almost seem to be scared of the word 'spiritual' like it's going to contaminate their squared off world. I think what pisses me off about some of them is that they think they are so superior in intelligence and thought. Well there is one saying that a wee Glasgow woman taught me when I was about 17, she said "just remember in this world that - "the know-alls, know fuck all"!

As usual I loved your hub as well as your humour and your sincerity. Keep on writing, you're awesome!

Wesman, I don't think this is limited to humans, I believe [as the asp in the garden] animals are effected as well, being living, breathing, spirited as all, though maybe at a different intelligence level. I have a dog I've been watching for a year and I originally thought it was because you bumped her awake from a sleep with close contact, now she is acting like a 17 year old I knew, she jumps up runs 6 or 8 feet and attacks another dog and runs back to where she was falls down and is instantly back to all appearances of sleep. I don't think she even knows she did it. It is not vicious it's more a jump and push with an aggressive growl, and she is a most fun peaceable dog during all activities of play. The 17 year old kid was different, he jumped up from a cot while out on hunting or camping and would maul somebody then return right to his cot and back to sleep. I punched him in the eye one night as he came at me [mainly because he didn't believe us when we told him about it] to wake him up, but it didn't phase him he just returned to his cot and went back to the same appearance of sleep. Only woke up with a bruised eye socket and the white of his eye was blood red where a vein ruptured. He didn't feel it and didn't know who hit him. A trip to be sure, dust

Wesman, I've the 23rd memorized and working on 91 as like you I'm exposed to minor [if you can consider any minor] things while 300 feet down and farther in old mines out here, I suspect a few met their doom while scratching out tunnel by hand some over a hundred years back. I'm a bit leery of items I find that were someones personal belonging, I don't bring those things in the house, I leave them out side on a wooden table telling them to leave me alone in case there is an attachment to them of some type. It's why I don't fool with old west burial sites as well, be they wagon train or ghost town, I want no part of them.

WOW!!! That's interesting! I do know what you mean though. I ride my bike, and I find all kinds of old stuff in ditches that I keep sometimes. Forks, spoons, knives of all kinds, etc, etc, etc. Probably none of that stuff is exactly ancient or anything. . .but you never really know.

Now you've got me thinking about some stuff here. I've got one item in particular - was a bayonet that belonged to a WWII Japanese officer that met his final times on Guam Island, my grandfather brought it back home, and made a knife out of it. It's a VERY special item to me.

Here's a picture of it from myspace:

http://a2.l3-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/23/2a3...

I got another ancient Bowie knife too that I don't have a picture of. You're going to have me thinking about just what all I've got in here! Cool stuff, I'd love to wonder around them places that you are talking about. . . .but not meet my maker in any of them!

I need to gather the stuff I took off dead bodies and take pictures of them, you just triggered thoughts in my mind about this stuff, most is in my old foot locker now called my war chest. shit!

His group agreed walk across as ordered and not stop for nothing and that's what he said they did. I wonder about the guys with radioactive stuff in their pockets and packs.

WOW! Guess my grandpa did okay - of course he wasn't THERE, but he was a hell of a lot closer to Japan when that stuff went down than Grandma was!

You know - if all the stuff I've heard about depleted uranium is true - then what our current military has done to it's own soldiers and the Middle East will go down in history as worse than what Germany did to Poland, etc.

Thank for writing and for your honesty. I know the spirit realm is real! I've seen, heard, and felt things myself. I've experienced the supernatural in the positive--God's presence and angels--and I've also experienced the presence of evil--of demons. Believe it or not (but do!) one of my jobs is that I work as a deliverance minister. I went through some really scary stuff in my early 20s and thought, "This realm is real and I need to find people that know what to do about this!" I was desperate to get the evil spirits to leave--they were tormenting and scaring me. I'd grown up in a church that said that stuff was real, but nobody talked about it. It's like they thought it was only real when Jesus walked the Earth. Anyway, I found a group of Christians that specialized in the supernatural realm and I began to study and learn about the unseen world. I was drastically set free. The demons left. The scary stuff stopped. I had fear that was SOOO strong and depression that was SO severe that I wanted to die. I thought it was me. But when I learned how to deal with the demons all of the sudden I wasn't depressed and anxious and afraid. I thought they were my own thoughts--but no--they were evil. Jesus is the name at which every knee must bow. Sometimes, though, people struggle to stay in their freedom because they keep opening doors and inviting evil spirits by the things they do and the lies they agree with. Agreement is really powerful. We prayed for this one lady who had lots of demons and was very sick. She received a great deal of relief. But then she went home and kept doing the things that were opposite of what God's Word said and she kept agreeing with the whispers of the enemy and demons came back and filled the space again because she did not keep in filled with Holy Spirit. I'd love to tell you more if you are interested or have any questions. This is something I don't often get to talk to people about because it freaks them out. Oh--I have a movie for you to watch! Watch "Furious Love." It is a documentary--it is all about the reality of the evil and darkness that is out there--and it shows how God's fierce love overcomes. There is even this one scene where this girl that used to be a Satanist...she was groomed as a bride for Satan...and was filled with MANY demons...and even met Satan, himself. There is an interview with her and how she was rescued and set free from that--it's a crazy story but cool.

Yep, and if you see or hear anything strange nowadays. . .some of those same folks think you are "mentally ill."

At least that's what happens in my instances.

Yeah- I've had the clean house and just mucked it up a few times. Maybe someday I'll keep it a bit cleaner.

Furious Love, huh? Never heard of it - I might give that a try!

Thank you!!

Claire Evans 5 years ago

I find this rather unsettling, Todd. I watched an episode of the series, "A Haunting" whereby a man took out a book on witchcraft and got severely possessed because he cast all sorts of spells. He tried to get a Wiccan priest to help him purge him of the demons yet that failed miserably. Only the power of Jesus Christ exorcised him. And remember, Jesus is called the salt of the earth.

If you are starting to take an interest in witchcraft, I implore you to leave it alone! You are asking for trouble otherwise.

Objects can actually have evil spirits attached to them as well so it may be a good idea to get that witchcraft book out of your home...just an FYI. A friend of mine who is a missionary went to Africa and took home a relic. It happened to have been made by a witch. He didn't use if for spells or anything...he didn't even know it has evil attached to it. But people in his house kept getting sick. Somebody finally had an insight that there was an object in the house...after he got rid of the mask...sickness gone. I have another friend who can see in the spirit realm really clearly...and if you have an object in your house that is an open door...he can just walk in and say, "Hey, you have such and such in here...do you have a ____?" Let me know what you think of Furious Love...it seriously has rocked the world of SOOO many people. Be blessed and I loose Psalm 91 over you, covenant of Divine Protection.

Hi Wes,

I'm like you and Calibre in having to carry out cleansing on occasions just due to work. Working in the care field you can pick up quite a number of nasty energies - some call them psychic vampires - that can eat away at your energy levels and affect your moods.

Anyway, When cleansing I basically do the following - have a small table with two candles - any size will do and I have room for burning off the joss/incense. I walk round the room clock-wise and basically ask for the space to be cleaned. You can use your own words, I tend to use 'I cleanse this space in light and love' and at the same time I walk around with the joss/incense so that the smoke cleanses the room. I then repeat the exercise and create a circle of salt by throwing a very small amount about every foot or so - again creating a circle. Make sure you throw the salt into the corners as well - this is where nasties tend to hide. As you walk round imagine white spiritual light coming into your space and into every corner and lighting it up - it doesn't matter if this image is not strong, it's the intent that counts.

I then leave the joss/incense and the candles to burn off - these are a symbol of continued higher spiritual light present in the room. It also helps if the room/space you are cleansing has been tidied up and dusted before hand - but it's not essential. Some also recommend having a bath or shower before cleansing but I have never found this necessary, although if folks are a bit anxious it can also help to relax them. Hope this helps.

Ps Calibre is right about 91 being very powerful - you could definitely use this or the 23rd while cleansing - either reading it or from memory. I have used both, reading them quietly after I have cleansed. I'm not a Catholic now but was brought up one but I've met a few priests working as a nurse and became good friends with them. It was one really good priest who had an interest in spiritual things that told me to use psalm 91 whenever I felt I was in need/danger/being harrassed. This psalm you can just say at any time anywhere - you don't need cleansing for it to work. Also if you find some of the older translations of this psalm a bit hard to follow there are more modern ones - I think the King James Bible has a very straight forward one and I like this best myself. Again, hope all this helps.

Hey Seeker7, I know just what you mean by "psychic vampires," I'm afraid. My problem is finding people to associate with in real time that aren't that type.

From all of this I've about made two decisions: One - find that witch craft book and burn it, and Two - memorize the 91st Psalm!

Hi Wes, just as a point of curiosity - is the book you have actually witchcraft or Wicca? There can be a major difference. If the book is Wicca then the book is not the problem although it's always better to have a tutor if starting any spiritual journey. If it's witchcraft then it's probably better to get rid of it. Firstly because the rituals might be very powerful, secondly it might be left-hand path stuff or containing rituals that could lead to left hand path if not followed properly. Wicca is always of 'the light' and is not harmful to anyone.

As to the psychic vampires - I don't think that it's you who are finding them, it's probably 'them' that's finding you due to your unique energies. If any of them come near imagine a white light surrounding you to reinforce your aura and no matter how close they get you'll be fine.

I don't know if reading that thing might let me see things going on that maybe I need to know about, or if it's just garbage. I do intend to set it on fire though if I find it and decide that it's creepy.

Some wise person has said, "All that is behind us and All that is before us, is nothing compared to All that is Within Us". I believe this is a truth.

Each of us has so much more potential than we use. So many never think about or reckon with the spiritual part of themselves because they rush hurriedly through life without giving a thought to more than who they are, what they want, and what they have. We are indeed much more than that. It is important to slow down, meditate, think deeply, and know oneself from the inside out. No other person can know your thoughts or motivations. You alone know the private, personal YOU.

Keep your heart seeking good, truth, and love. There is hope for the rest of us but we do need input from those who know more and can help us along the way.

Keep growing, thinking, and writing!

Ditch that book. I agree with Seeker and the description plainly says it explores 'black magick'. Any *witch* who claims to dabble in black arts is not a true Witch because to do so violates the creed of Harm None as well as incurs great risk of having the Law of Three come back and slam you into the ground.

It's junk and who knows how many hands it passed through before it got to you?

I think I'll incur the Law Of Burning on it. Maybe I'll throw it outside for the evening, and burn it in the morning. What do you think?

Maybe the "Devil Red" color should tell people something?

Hi Wes,

Have had a good look at the book - looks more like satanism than anything else and very sensationalist. This says one of two things to me - firstly, it's bullshit (ie when it says that black magic is misunderstood) secondly and unfortunately it is dangerous bullshit.

I agree also with Misbehaved Woman it can always be hard to tell not so much how many hands it has been through but whose hands in particular - it has probably been used by quite a few misguided nutters in its time and they'll probably have left a lot of negativity with it. Also if the book was near to where any kind of ritual was performed then it is possible to have a very negative spiritual attachment to it. So in a word - burn the book, cleanse your space and start to breath easy.

Wesman Todd Shaw profile image

Wesman Todd Shaw 5 years ago from Kaufman, Texas Author

I think I will do that, and today. I've definitely got some house cleaning to do - I certainly don't have any time to devote to satanism.

What's half way sad is that most people think that even The Anton LaVey satanism is really just atheism. . . I'm afraid that they've not caught on yet. At least the theistic satanist are honest about that part.

Seeker7 profile image

Seeker7 5 years ago from Fife, Scotland

I think you're right about satanism-aetheism. If it was just aetheism there wouldn't be any need for rituals etc. You could simply meditate on any material wants/power you need. But this shit goes way beyond that. In addition if it is only aetheism then I don't understand all the crap that goes on about abusing holy pictures and hanging crosses and pentagrams upside down and so on. These are all deliberate actions to defile what many people hold sacred and to open up doorways to all manner of negativity.

Wesman Todd Shaw profile image

Wesman Todd Shaw 5 years ago from Kaufman, Texas Author

I think the first rule of satanism is that you can never trust a satanist to ever tell the truth about anything - especially in "introduction level" satanism - like Anton's nonsense.

All he was doing was easing folks into that hardcore shit.

I've got that book out now - there's no front or back cover on it now. It was left here with no front cover, I guess I must have ripped the back cover off.

Dusty 5 years ago

Wesman, burn that thing, throw the Psalms 91 at the flame and take the ashes and scatter them to the wind somewhere else, where the whole of it will be gone from you and your presence or just burn them elsewhere and split. No good can come from that thing and I agree that there is no telling how and who it was used by and the level of evil in the hands that did. dust

Hi Wes,

Dusty's right. It would be a very good idea to use Psalm 91 - read it a few times over the next couple of days or so.

Really interesting hub here, Todd. I find it ironic how in western society what is labeled elsewhere as "from the god's" is labeled insanity or delusional or some other mental health label.

In every society, in every era, man has believed in the other worldly, the mystical, and the spiritual. Our current slant towards the "only what can be scientifically proven is real" attitude does not help us as much as its proponents would have us believe.

Great hub. I can see where it took courage to write this. I applaud you and it.

PS, I might be a little careful about casting out. I think I heard something, somewhere about needing something to cast it into or it just hops... could just be remembering that from some movie though.

Hey thank you poetvix - yes, I know about the hoppers, there's also something that happens from over exposure to individuals - a "sharing" or "co infection," if you will.

Things I've noticed - but skeered to talk about in polite Texas company! ha!

Yeah, I think atheist are mostly morons, or just going through a bit of a "seeking truth" phase. Been there and done all that - paid a $20 for a t shirt, and burned it when I got home :-D

To the Author, In respect of the TDO. Your entirely to well written to be withheld that right by our big brother, in the name of your good. Here's the trick, when they show up, punch the shit out of them. Instead of the TDO, you go to jail. In jail you have internet access, cable TV, and paper. We've learned through experience in this house.

I'm totally lost. I can't think of what TDO means; but I haven't looked at this hub in a while.

I'm certain that I'll feel stupid when I figure it out - I know because I always feel stupid.

Wes...There is no reason I can fathom to disbelieve you. I have had several "experiences," and know numerous people who have as well. It is not "crazy," nor is it always something that can be EXPLAINED away or excused as a dream, trick or hallucination. Why there are those who will always need proof and rationalization for unusual, uncommon or strange occurrances, is because they THINK anything of this nature is purely negative and/or evil. This creates fear....creates denial...creates ignorance....creates hatred....creates destruction. Most times, things quite simply & genuinely ARE WHAT THEY ARE.

Wesman Todd Shaw profile image

Wesman Todd Shaw 5 years ago from Kaufman, Texas Author

Hey fpherj48! I'm finding that mostly persons who doubt such things are "new atheist" or otherwise persons who disbelieve anything that science can not prove.

First of all - that requires faith that humans can even detect everything in the infinite and expanding universe - which is exceedingly arrogant.

I've got lots of "new atheist" or "materialist" friends - can't figure out what all they've got going on in their minds - but mostly it's just fear, I think.

fpherj48 profile image

fpherj48 5 years ago from Beautiful Upstate New York

I know what an atheist is and I know about "New Age" Is "new Atheist," a combination of the 2? As for "Materialists," PULL-EEZ, Wes....we'd never had enough time to get into that. I have devoted the majority of my adult life avoiding, ignoring, and refusing to allow that damned demon into my world. Whatever the unadulterated opposite of GREED is, I wish for it to rain upon the world for 40 days and 40 nights..until every ounce is cleansed from the earth.

LOL!

Well, things are probably going to get uglier for most - but then again, I'm somewhat of a pessimist.

I don't actually think things are going to get worse and worse for ME - but then again I'm not in the same state of mind or being that most persons are in.

fpherj48 profile image

Strange that you refer to yourself as a "pessimist." I would describe you as quite the contrary. Maybe because I believe a TRUE pessimist throws his hands in the air, scrathes his head and says, "Oh well, that's just the way it goes." YOU, Mr. Wesman Todd Shaw, do just the opposite. You have powerful thoughts and feelings about this world of ours....you KNOW it can be better and you share loudly and clearly the songs in your heart. The experience your hubs bring to me is one of reality, wisdom and hope. You have stirred the simmering pot in my soul and turned up the heat so it can boil......in a GOOD way. Your hubs have moved me...caused the dormant feelings to WAKE UP. Ain't no PESSIMIST can do that, my friend.

...an empath, yep. That is to say, and by whatever means, you "notice" a lot more about what is going on around you than is normal (as in "average," not as in "right").

As for paranormal stuffs, I don't really have an opinion one way or the other. Like asking whether or not God actually exists, the question is just a bit beside the point, isn't it? :)
