Planting Seed in the Garden of our Life.

Happy Gardening!!
Happy Gardening!!

How does your garden grow?

Our lives are similar to a garden. We plant the seed and it grows. Everything in and on the earth started with a seed. We need to plant in proper soil and make sure our gardens are fed with the proper nutrients, sunlight and essential water. We need to be watchmen over our gardens. The weeds, critters and insects will try to edge in and in no time at all they will reek havoc on the growth. If we keep up on our gardens we can be assured of a bountiful harvest. Everything in life that is worthwhile takes action and perseverance. Prayer is a plus and works like miracle grow. Gods miracle grow! This is Gods principle sowing and reaping. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you. Matthew 6:31 In the garden of our lives we are continually planting seeds in our thoughts, words and actions.

Pleasing thoughts.

Everything we do starts with a thought. If our thoughts are lovely, pure, kind and pleasing they will make a difference in our desired harvest. When we think thoughts that are despair, doubt, anger or ugly they make a difference in the harvest that will abound. God gave man a free will to choose what He will think, say and act. If our thoughts are in line with Gods word we can be assured of a bountiful return on the seed, we have planted. Our treasures will come sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly. In due season we will reap what we sow. NO matter if it is good or bad seed, we will get a harvest.

Our thoughts start beautiful gardens.

Source

Loving words nurture loving hearts

Source

Thought, word, action is seed, we plant.

Seeds take root and multiply. A bank robber starts his crime with a thought. He gets a few partners to go in on the crime with him. They take action together. They get caught and one dies in the chase. The others go to prison. The consequences started with the thought. It was fed and it produced a harvest. The bank robbers got no money but time in prison. In the cell block he hears vile and evil words. He sees evil actions. God always goes for the less likely to succeed in the world. I know I was in that flock. He came for me, Praise God. Oh wretched sinner I am. Forgiven and moving forward in Christ, Amen! Jesus wants to rescue the robber. God does not give up on us, He wants none to perish. The robber will have a choice. Will he ask Jesus into his life and repent of sin and be made new or will he keep on and allow more ugly seeds to grow and take over the garden, to death?

When we speak words to our situation, over a situation, or to another they can change the attitude, scenery and outcome. Good or bad will change the scenery. If we stay in the Light of Gods promises and speak His promises over our life our words, with faith can move mountains, out of the way. We need to make sure we have picked the weeds of unforgiveness or sin out of our gardens. They will block the sunlight of the Spirit from the garden. When we make a mistake we can jump back in and take authority. With Jesus we can clean up our garden; repent, rid the weeds and move forward. Jesus helps us to use the weed whacker.

This is good news. if we know Jesus Christ as Our Lord and Savior we are forgiven our sin. We are made righteous before God. Nothing but the blood of Jesus, Amen? If you do not know Jesus then by your choice you are on your own and live in the world where evil and wicked seed abound. In government, education, church, the wicked seed abounds and multiplies. When tempted by Satan the god of this world bad seed is then planted. Be on the watch. Many have hooked into the bad seed as a way of life; greed, lust, envy, evil, idolatry, sexual immorality, wickedness, witchcraft, deceit, deception. The seed has deep roots and has grown for a very long time. The seed will bring depression, doubt, worry, fear, anxiety, illness, stress anxiety. It can break up families and marriages, bring abuse and much more, ugly. Ugly is not from God. It is from the devil and his demons.

God could and would if He were sought help to clean up the gardens of our lives. (Matthew 6:32) God will not go where not called. God will allow us to wallow in our own choices. With Jesus, the Master Gardener He will help us to hoe and keep our gardens free of impurities. He provides sun, water and life to our gardens. He helps us rid the ugly weeds and ward off the adversaries that come to steal, kill and destroy. We do not have to tend to our gardens, alone. Jesus wants to be in our lives. He gave us His Holy Word to live by. We have a manual called the Bible. Man has tried to devise or change the words or ignore the words to suit their lifestyle. Gods seed is life and truth. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. (Proverbs 18:21)

Our actions are seed we plant in our gardens of life. When we act in loving kindness, meekness and humility and give, the seed will multiply and grow. The seed we plant carries over into the lives around us. Jesus promises us that we will reap 30, 60 or 100 fold when we plant good seed.(Matthew 13:18) Not a bad return on the investment into God's Kingdom! God's economy is plentiful. He is never in short supply. He has more then enough to pass around. God does not limit His graciousness to us. Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.(John 3:1-2) Wow that is some promise! No government can give us this. No college education can get you this. No job can pay these benefits. Only Jesus can. No person can assure us of eternal life or get us there except, Jesus Christ. So, when we sow good seed not only do we prosper but our souls prosper. We grow in love, wisdom, understanding and truth when we meditate on God's word. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.(Romans 8:28)

The seed we plant goes to work immediately and begins to multiply. Next time you are out and about give the guy on the corner a couple of bucks with nothing attached. If you have no bucks pray for the dude. Not only does it feel good, God sees and knows. He also hears when one speaks nasty or ugly words to the guy on the corner or flips him off. He who casts the first stone take the plank from your own eye. We are all sinners and fall short the Glory of God.. Believers want to be more Holy. Our old desires shed off of us through Christ. God is the creator and shapes and molds us for His Glory and our divine purpose.

When we Bless we get Blessed, When we give, we get back. When we hurt someone, we hurt ourselves. When we love another, we love Christ. When we speak favor of God over our situations and speak His Words of life over others His promises come to pass in due season. By faith we know that God is faithful and just and He will supply all our needs.(Phil 4:19) His way is much larger than our finite minds can begin to imagine. When we trust God then we will have no have reason to worry. God says do not be anxious for anything.(Phil 4:4) God wants all of us and that includes our cares and worries. When we thank God His light moves out the dark. When we forgive, we too are forgiven. God will repay what the enemy has stolen from us.(Joel 2:25) When we ask Jesus into our hearts we are forgiven our wretched sin and our home will be eternal life with Him. When we Jesus we deny God the Father and we too will be denied everlasting life.(Mark 10:18) Our eternal home will be separation from Christ, in hell.

So no matter the seed you plant remember it will grow and multiply. We get to choose in this life who will we serve. What seeds are we going to plant? We can keep on to the crown of Glory in Christ assured of forgiveness of sin and eternal life or we can follow the god of this world and go where there is no hope into the wiles of the world and die without Christ Jesus. It is not too late to clean up the garden and ask Jesus to come into your life if you are reading this and do not know Him.

Think, and speak words of life over you and your loved ones, their situation, health and finances. These are Gods desires for us. Read the word of God meditate of His promises and give thanks. Take action and help others and watch your garden of life take off in leaps and bounds. You can enjoy the journey. You will have a harvest that you only dreamed, but larger then life. God is way big. Do not believe God and stay in doubt or fear or depression and doom and live a miserable life. Misery is not from God. Jesus came beloved so we could have life and that we might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10) The enemy comes only to steal, kill destroy.(John. 10:10) Choose Jesus. Choose life everlasting.

Happy gardening precious friends. Skye

ocfireflies, Thank you so much for coming over for a read. I am honored to meet you sister. You can bet I will be over to see what is shining on your pages. I look forward to it. Yes we need to keep our thoughts pure and lovely. Any thing dark is from the enemy himself.

It is work to keep our gardens free from weeds but with daily perseverance we can do it and it is so worth the effort. (Phil 4:13) We get to reap the blessings of our labor. We are not alone! We have a Savior Jesus Christ. He will lead us to life abundant. I pray that each day you are blessed in His unending love and faith, Kim. Many hugs your way as well. Love, Skye.

So very true, the garden is a wonderful metaphor for life...when we bless we get blessed. You are so obviously blessed, Faith has done a 'divine' :) tribute to you and it is so very well deserved. I'm happy to find that I was already following you. However, I'll be back with hugs to read some more of your work. Take care and my best to you.

Aw, Dearest Sister Skye,

Yes, I am all for reaping the harvest of love, mercy and His grace! I truly love that you have used the garden here as a metaphor for planting the seed and getting those weeds out of the garden!

When we think on those things He tells us to think on, we will be kept in perfect peace! Praise Him!

... with those things being whatever is true, lovely, excellent or worthy of praise. He is so very worthy of our praise.

We must be mindful that when those false imaginations are whispered in our ears, that we know from whom those thoughts are coming, those not from God.

Thank you for sharing the love in your heart to all here.

Voted up ++++ and sharing

God bless you. In His Love, Faith Reaper

Good morning Skye! I woke up this morning singing: Great is Thy faithfullness - and reading your hub has been confirmation and a great joy to what was in my spirit this beautiful new day! It is so true, our minds are gardens and the seeds that we plant do grow so it is very important to be careful and allow our Master Gardener to be Lord over our minds. Because it is so true, if we are not meditating on God's Word and on His promises and on His will, then all the other stuff we think about, is going to grow into nothing but weeds. I love how God leads us in the paths we need to go, how He leads us into wonderful words like you've given us here - Praise the LORD Jesus!

Be blessed dear Sister

Skye2day, Wonderful TRUTH going forth here! God is GOOD! I am so Thankful to be connected through Jesus Christ who is the Vine! God the Father, is the Gardner and He will see to it in His time that the seeds we bear in His Name will bear fruit into His Kingdom. It is only when we remain in Him can we continue to grow spiritually as His Son shines the Light on our path.

As you so wonderfully stated: “When we speak words to our situation, over a situation, or to another they can change the attitude, scenery and outcome. Good or bad will change the scenery. If we stay in the Light of Gods promises and speak His promises over our life our words, with faith can move mountains, out of the way. We need to make sure we have picked the weeds of unforgivingness or sin out of our gardens. They will surely block the sunlight of the Spirit from the garden.” AMEN & PRAISE GOD!

Thank you for sharing, Your light is shining brightly my sister in the Lord, In His Love, Grace, Mercy, Joy, Peace & Blessings!

As a gardener and also a born again Christian, I agree! It is important to plant the right seeds in our hearts and not allow our gardens to be unprotected, but to take the time that is needed to uproot the weeds so they don't choke out and inhibit us from producing an abundance of good fruit.

Great analogies and metaphors Skye.

Your article is a wonderful exhortation to view all that we say and do as seed. I must admit through recent trials I have struggled with the activity of complaining which I believe goes along with your section on thoughts. I let my thoughts wander aimlessly through all the emotional stuff rather than being deliberate and planting the good things in there.

Interestingly enough I planted a garden this year and I raised precious organic tomato plants from seed - 15 of them to be exact - one day I checked on them and 3 of them were missing. Obviously something ate it. I told my husband when he got done with work that we needed to go and get some fencing for the garden. When we returned I had only two plants left.

The lesson I get according to your teaching is we also have to protect the precious good things that we have already planted. I feel like my complaining was the rabbits that came along and ate the plant.

Loved it Skye. Your beautifully His!!

Patti once again you have come up with the most interesting post, yes what we sow we reap, and there are many a bad seed in the bags that come for sale, but when that seed starts to grow we can see that some plants from the seeds do need to be taken out, if let grow they will spoil the harvest.

I did tell you that now I'm going to East Africa I have now my visa to go and lv. home in Nov.the 1st week about 5 Pastors have asked me to talk in their churches, and a friend has an orphanage which I will help as well.

Good post Patti
