REALLY IMPORTANT THINGS
AMERICAN POLITICS
Each and every American has been obsessed with the political scene in America for over the past year. Americans of every political stripe have an opinion on the political machinations. Democrats, Independents, and Republicans have differing opinions on what’s best for the nation. We have a seen the birth of the Tea Party movement along with the counter movement The Coffee Party group.
There are so many differing opinions it can make your head spin. We question motives and agendas. It’s hard to tell where we are ultimately heading. Sometimes we throw up our hands in exasperation. We wonder how will our lives be affected? These things are important to all of us. Are these things the really important things?
THE VISSITUDES OF LIFE
We all have our problems. According to the Book of Job 14:1 ” Man that is born of woman is of few days and is full of trouble.” Is this to be our lot in life? We look for certainty in the face of reason; we seek answers where questions loom!!!!! Oh woe is me! We are but lost children! Where can we seek the truths of life?
LIFE GOES ON
My fellow Americans I state these political things do have importance in our lives. I also remember three scant weeks ago being snowbound. I thought I would never make it through the winter. Now I see the blossoms blooming and the grass turning green. I even see the leaves coming back to life on the beautiful trees. I saw a double rainbow and walked in my T-shirt in the warm spring sun. I even went barefoot up to the mailbox to retrieve my mail.
God’s promise of the rebirth metaphorically carried out in the glory of rebirth in the spring. The birds are building nests, the crocus is blooming, and the sun is shining brightly.
Those of us who are Christians soon celebrate the rising of our Savior, Jesus. The blessing of life ever after is now in season. Praise the Lord Jesus has come to save our souls!!! For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son so whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have ever lasting life!!!!!!!!!!!!
