Reincarnation Is Real.

In many Near Death Experiences or NDR, people see Jesus Christ. In one of those experiences a woman whose name is Jeanie Dicusi, reported that she saw Jesus and was asked by Him if she would prefer to return to earth or would she like to reincarnate. She told Him her choice was to return to earth.

Many Christians reject the validity of reincarnation because it appears to conflict with the interpretations of Christians doctrines. What is surprising however, is that reincarnation was once a belief that was held by many Christians.

There is evidence in the Bible for reincarnation, and Jesus Christ himself even spoke of it. In another hub I wrote about the rapture, and people sleeping in the earth and the sea until the last until the last days of the of the earth. This hub is different.

There are many verses in the Bible that teach us about reincarnation. Matthew 11:13-14 ( Jesus spoke) " I tell you the truth; among those born of woman, there has not risen anyone greater then John the Baptist until now....for all the prophets, and law prophesied until John. And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who was to come".

Jesus told us in this scripture that John the Baptist had lived before as Elijah. The the disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 17:10 Why do the scribes of the law, say that Elijah must come first?" Jesus replied to them in Matthew 17:12-13 But I tell you Elijah has already come. The the disciples understood that Jesus was talking about John the Baptist.

The last verse in the Bible this will be the ladder that was seen by Jacob in Genesis 28:15 " And he dreamed of a ladder, and the top of it reached up to heaven; and behold angels of God ascending and descending upon it. This is a vision of a near death experience, which has also been described as a tunnel, a vision of light, peace, joy, and many other things.

In Modern times some people remember past lives and some do not. Below is a video of a young boy who not only remembers the life he lived before, he drew pictures of it and was brave enough to talk about it.

Do you believe reincarnation is real? Do you know anyone who remembers a life they have lived before, and is willing to describe what their life was like? There is so much to learn. Is it real, or is it not.

Michelle voted up and interesting. I like how it follows your other hub's content that I just read regarding near-death experiences. Nice follow up and flow with both hubs.

Hi Michelle,

I haven't read your near death experiences hub as yet because yesterday I had a terrible headache and I could not read at all. But rest assured I will get to it. This one was in the feed today and so it is the first I have read for today.

On to the topic! :)

I don't believe in reincarnation. I believe that it is appointed unto men once to die and then the judgment. (Hebrews 9:27) but I do know quite a few people who believe in it and some others who say that they remember their past lives or life.

Actually, Elijah did not die. He went to heaven alive and well in a chariot of fire. (2 Kings Chapter 6)

Jacob's ladder is actually Jesus Christ, I believe, for it is spoken of in the New Testament as well.

Jesus actually referred to Himself as that ladder in John 1:51

"And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man."

Jacob's vision was in fact a prophesy of the bridge that would be Jesus as He is the Way to eternity.

Well, that is what I think about reincarnation! As usual your hub was very interesting, Michelle.

Michelle your quote states "Many Christians reject the validity of reincarnation because it appears to conflict with the interpretations of Christians doctrines. " And that's true for most Christians but what is the reason why non christians don't believe in reincarnation?.

For the record, I am a christian but there was a time when I was into other ideas.

WOW, Michele! This ROCKS! In my heart I've believed it, but was always taught it wasn't true. This is quite helpful.

Maybe you should add a poll to this hub; just to see what others are thinking without identifying themselves. (just a suggestion).

GREAT JOB!

It is because they believe it is a pagan belief. Also, once you die you go to Heaven and spend the rest of eternity with Jesus Christ, God, and people you loved.

Thank you Mmargie 1966, that is a great idea. But the way, when you write a hub, will you share it with me? I would love to read yous. You know a lot, and I am trying to learn more. Thanks again!

Actually, you can teach me a lot, even if you don't know it. Many people here on hubpages have already done that :)

Great Hub Michele. You did get the scripture right. Several others as well. There is so much we do not know. I have worked as a psychologist in regression therapy and witnessed things you cannot dismiss. People reveal things from 1,000'a of years ago; some even "unearthly". There is nothing too big for God including the ability to "recycle a soul". This is another doctrinal change made by the church and hidden DEEP in the secrets of the Vatican archives. I voted UP all across except funny. Great job. Lee

Lee, thank you for your comment. I also think something like this may be hidden from us in the Vatican Archives.

Interesting read, Michele. I do not believe in reincarnation. I do see where the scriptures could lead someone to believe otherwise if they were not into really studying the references against other statements in the Bible. Thanks for sharing a different viewpoint to ponder.

I love seeing another of your hubs generating a dialogue between the hub community- I agree with Drtruthman in the sense that "God" or spiritual beliefs/ principles can never be pigeon-holed. The definition of true faith can only be interpreted by the individual who practices that faith on a daily basis irregardless of its traditions.

Thanks Laura that is true, but some people think that their religion is the only one that is true.

I've been back and forth on reincarnation with myself for years! One time I'll believe because I have a lot of deja vu moments, which are just weird, and then I'll argue with myself and remember what I learned in church!

Thanks for this very interesting Hub! Voted up, interesting, and awesome!

It's a very interesting subject to explore. As a healing therapist, I have performed numerous past life regressions and each and every one is an amazing, unique, experience for both of us. The client does not have to be a 'believer' in re-incarnation nor do they even need to understand the concept. The key is to open the mind/heart to the truth of the Self and as Jesus said, 'The truth shall set you free'. However, I think the very thing we do fear is the truth!

Energy doesn't 'die', it transforms. So re-incarnation is a truth for me personally.

Thanks for sharing Michele x

Gina thank you for your comment. The reason I thought about this is because Hitler was the reason my family left France. For some reason every time I read about Hitler or see him on the History Channel I feel horrible inside, that is weird isn't it.

GinaLu profile image

GinaLu 4 years ago from West Sussex UK

I don't think that's weird Michele, as it's something that effects you personally being apart of your roots and family history. Maybe it's time to let go of the emotions associated with the memory/time, be it anger, hurt, unforgiveness? And is it yours to hold onto anyway, or someone elses? As your time is now.

Past life regression helps in this healing process as a way of reclaiming ones soul self, and integrates those parts that have become fragmented back to oneness.

So much is handed down from ascendents to descendents, that we take on so much that is not really ours to hold.

When I see the symbol of the cross and Jesus' message to 'Be whole', I wonder if we should be asking ourselves in all honesty, 'What cross do I bear myself?' Could you lighten your own load?

Thanks for the opportunity to share in this fascinating subject Michele x

Thank you GinaLu very much. you are right. You gave me something to think of, however when I think of Jesus Christ and of God, I only feel Joy, Love, and Thankfulness in my heart. Thank you again for your comment.

Remember that even Satan will appear as angel of light and will try to deceive even "the very elect." I think you are reading a lot into the scriptures that was not intended to be interpreted the way you are interpreting them. This is similar as the concept that Jesus spent time in India studying Hinduism.

A man died on the cross "without sin" to prove what really exist after this world life. And in so doing was resurrected from death because he fulfilled the Law of God. He had witnesses (disciples and others living during that time) who wrote it down because of it's reality. Who will die to prove reincarnation is man's reality? And where are the witnesses to reincarnation who are willing to believe it even unto death? How does it prove itself? What little there was to "really" know of reincarnation did not tell me anything but wishful thinking by it's adherents. To it's an illusion that doesn't stand up under objective scrutiny looking for substance. i guess it comes down to what one prefers when all is said and done. I prefer to came out of my tomb the way jesus did which just like the man i was before I went in the tomb, with one exception "incorruptible" and never needing to die again. With reincarnation it seems dependent on dying again and again. What joy is there in that!! I will use faith and wait on Him for the day of resurrection for believers who look for Him.

Hello. I voted: No, for not believing in reincarnation. Yes there is incarnation but not reincarnation. I wrote once poem Vladiku:

When this Babe was born

in Bethlehem

He returned crown to woman

lost in garden of Eden. ***

I am working on Hub about reincarnation. Shortly, man cannot be responsible for two lives or more. In last judgement there will be only one responsible for sin. BTW Adam was eternal not to be reincarnated. God never planed for Adam and man to die.

Thanks for contribution of thoughts.

Absolutely! In fact, Jesus, Buddha, Abraham, etc (except Muhammad, he was a lecherous sociopath) were all right! You see; not everyone will agree with this, but the Chinese believe that Christianity and Buddhism and so on can indeed be mutually reconciled; theres a theory that Heaven at certain points in time, sent down sages, wise holy men (e.g. Jesus and Buddha), in order to bring peace in times of chaos. That theory is also mutually reconciliable with the concept of Christ as the Son of God, because technically, Tian (Heaven) IS God, and God is Heaven, in Chinese spiritual scripture. So yes, many non-Christian Chinese believe that Jesus was the son of God, as was Buddha and Abraham and all the other "sages". So yes, reincarnation IS possibly real; it's not exclusively Hindu/Buddhist/etc. =)

Ok I'll buy it... How much???? lol!

Seriously, one life time is insufficient to acquire all the knowledge we need to know to experience ourselves and our physical universe.

Time is an illusion that is only experienced when we perceive it. We don't experience time in dreams and often don't experience it in our daily life. When someone comments "where did the time go?" they were not paying attention to time and hence did not experience it.

We can rethink the past, think about the future, but only act in the moment. The expression "There is only the here and now" makes sense and is factual.

Based on these observations, I would submit we live all our lives at once in the moment. If this is true then we are multidimensional beings.

WOW - I can't believe I found a Christian that believes in reincarnation! Great article with Bible citations to help non-believers. It always seemed weird to me that Reincarnation is a generally excepted truth in the East yet so many Americans see it as hokey pokey. As someone who believes in the existence of souls it only makes sense to me that your soul may want to return to Earth to gain more experience... now I see that the Holy Bible supports my belief!

faythef Thank you for your comment. As I have said before, I do not know all the answers. I guess that is why God gives us 1.000 years when Satan is bound. Those are the years we are able to learn what God wants us to know. That will be wonderful. Then, at least for me, I will know what God want's me to know. Isn't it amazing how much He loves us?
