SWAT: Binding and Loosening principle

Updated on November 12, 2010

Binding

Binding and Loosening

What is binding? Binding is "the act of fastening, securing, uniting, or the like". The scripture teaches a principle of binding and loosening.

"And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”Matthew 16:19

“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Matthew 18:18

The things that we pray can have a huge impact in our lives. Sometimes one does not know how to pray. Unless God teaches them other wise. Any time that we address something in prayer, we are asking God to move concerning the issue at hand. As God leads us and teaches us to be what He has created us to be, as His people we will learn to operate with His authority and how to do things accordingly.

The Believer needs to understand there position in Christ and the Authority that they carry in order to move forward in such prayers. The concept of binding up an enemy and the workings of an enemy is great. To understand how to identify the enemy and expose them and remove them is another thing that must be taught by God, this practice comes through spiritual discernment. To be able to bind Lust in an individual and know that after one has bound such, that you need to replace it with something of God. Purity is a great alternative because you must fill the space once occupied by such.

When you get into the spirituality of the influences that area associated with almost everything in life, you can learn to identify root causes and partner with God in prayer to do something about such things that are revealed.

Prayers of a SWAT Team.

Understand that it is only through God, that any off these things can be done truly. That what we are learning in this is not a Joke, but when done right with God can cause great things to happen in your life and the life of others.

Your team. Understand that as you identify the workings of an enemy or spirit in your life/community, you should partner with one or more people to address such things.

“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:19-20

God moves through Prayer, this I believe that most of you already know. It is like a restrained hand that is willing and ready to move, when you pray and ask God to do so, your are releasing His hand, to move and do mighty things. In exposing the enemy you are like capturing him and removing him from the situation, or circumstance at play with in your life. I'd like to believe an example of this, is when Jesus rebuked the wind and waves in the storm. The disciples identified it as a problem. They may have not responded as God would have liked them to, but when they turn to Jesus, things changed. The circumstances changed in that very situation.

I do believe that when we learn to bear fruit in what it is that we must go through in this life, and respond to such things the way that God desires. That  for us, the out come is not the same as it could have been going about things your own way.

Casting out Spirits

The concept of binding and loosing has lots to do with deliverance's. Knowing what it is you are up against, removing, and what is need to take its place. When something evil is removed, it needs to be replaced by something of God.

I think I will write more on this subject at a later date. The book "Strongman's his name, whats his Game." is a book about identifying these spirits and also instructs one on what to bind and what to loosen. Great tool to have in your arsenal.
