Sanctification For Sacred Use

To be sanctified by God is required for us to be used by God as a sacred instrument. Our dedication to God is what frees us to live a life of purpose. Our connection to God grows stronger as we go through the process of purification. As the effects of sin are erased in our bodies through our obedience and constant striving to do what is right before God- no matter the pain or price it may cost.

If anyone cleanses/purges himself from these (turn from the sin), cleansed and separated from what is dishonorable (to God)Keep yourself pure- separating himself/yourself from them, he shall be/will be a ready vessel for honour, sanctified/consecrated and fit/profitable/suitable for the master's use/service -- prepared & equipped for every good work having been prepared, 2Tim 2:21

Everyone that is called into the Body of Christ must be cleansed, sanctified, dedicated, in order to become a successful soldier of Jesus. If not that sin that is causing a breach and blocking you from full fellowship with God. Remember our God is holy and desires to make us holy- a people that honors him. So he can use us for his glory. We can not dishonor and honor God at the same time. You will serve God or fall away in the sin.

But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin. 1John 1:7

Father sanctify them/ make them holy by thy truth, teach them your truth,Because your words are truth/ your message is true.Use the truth to make them holy. John 17:17

Sanctify means:

1)To set apart for sacred use: Consecrate

2) To make holy: purify

3) To give religious sanction to,as with an oath or vow

4)To make productiveness of holiness or spiritual blessing

Also to purify, purge, cleanse.

In Greek sanctify is Hagiazo, which means to be "separate" or to be "set apart"

For God's purposes to be accomplished.

A person set apart for specific divine purpose.

*This produces spiritual growth

  • Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.—Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom.

  • Where with all shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to your word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from your commandments.

  • When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto my soul: discretion shall preserve you, understanding shall keep you.

  • My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.—I have more understanding than all my teachers: for your testimonies are my meditation.—If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

We should want this sanctification from God. Even though it isn't going to be easy to allow God to continually cleanse us but it will bring us joy with the results & closer walk with God. What peace it causes to be cleansed and freed from the hurts, pains and misery that sin brings. The biggest harm that it causes is it dampens our relationship with God and makes us distant from Him through our choice to serve sin instead of God. To refuse to take the life and restoration that is offered in walking in the truth of God's words-following after Jesus- will lead us to places & consequences that could of been avoided on the path of righteousness/right choices.

Anytime anyone goes through a major change in there life there is pressure their. It is their to cause a change- a movement.

God does apply pressure to us- to make us go forward. To cause us to walk through the purging fire that cleanses us. This fire of God is for purification. Also satan comes in and tests are faith in God. Which in turn causes us to learn to live a life of purity sanctified, separated from the evil and sin in this world-So the continuous purging can continue. Through our most miserable times we learn why staying on the path is so important to our peace and progression with God. We learn to shun all evil for the sake of keeping our peace and honoring God- as we become more and more sensitive to how sin feels and what it causes.

With Jesus being our example here's this to think about- Although indeed He Jesus was God's Son, yet He learned obedience/God's orders by/through the things which he suffered/endured and underwent. Hebrews 5:8

So this learning and being obedient to God doesn't not always feel good for many different reasons. Like the conviction from God to cause purging, the buffeting from satan too that God turns into our good and training in righteousness and for survival during the evil day , the transformation from the old ways to God's way.

It is much better to suffer in this way to learn than to just plain be turned over to the tormenters that can and will torment us day and night. Thus causing us to be in fear, lack, and broken fellowship with God through our lack of dedication and trust in God. This is not from God but from our enemy. I would much rather God chastise me for what is not pleasing to him than for satan through my own free will and rebellion to come to steal, kill and destroy me.

Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.Proverbs 27:6

So that the genuineness of your faith, more precious than gold which though perishable is tested by fire, may redound to praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:7

If we are willing to go through the fire of testing, we will be refined through and by that fire- Transformed into such purity that we will become of the purest of gold. The purification process is repetitive- making part of the challenge.

Letting God take you through a complete and total deliverance by walking through the fire is time consuming. Inside the purification and learning the things that please God and that do not the blazing heat in all its intensity comes with a lot of pressure.

God wants to use you, and have his power and anointing to increase, increase. So we can walk in the call of God in the full resurrection strength, bearing the same spirit that Jesus Christ has. To do as he said Go out to the highways, byways, - to the homeless, helpless, sick and the whole world and Tell them of Jesus and that he heals, restores, saves, loves them, delivers, died for them, that Jesus can save them and pull them out of destruction. All in the power of God- God causing it all to happen. We are just a vessel of God for his glory- we can do nothing without God.

Having your faith tested may seem like it's too much to go through. That it just feels impossible to continue on through and obey God anyways because we trust God. God is faithful. You will have moments- sometimes long moments wanting to just give up-this is what we all will and do feel like during our cleansing and purification times.

I should let you know that this just doesn't happen over night it is over time- in God's timing.Going through the fire and pressure to cleanse us from sins impurities is tough . Actually probably the hardest thing you will ever have to do. When God starts the refinement process you may have doubts and even question God about all the trouble, tears, trials & attacks. Why all this persecution!

The good news is later you will realize that what was up setting you, putting pressure on you, testing your limits and how much you trust God- really has blessed you even though you thought it was a curse. What satan means for our harm God truly, truly does use it for our good and to make us stronger- Stronger in him and because of Him.

God loves me, he loves you- so God doesn't want us to be in any agreement to satans ways of sin. This is for our safety, peace and well being. God has set a standard for us- not to control us but to free us and to have a relationship with us- and to free us from the law of sin & death. Our sanctification and cleansing by his truth His word is for our benefit.

1Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

2That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. 1 Peter 4

Jesus replied, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God." Luke 9:62

Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, Hebrews 6:1

Those who sow in tears
Shall reap in joy.
He who continually goes forth weeping,
Bearing seed for sowing,
Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing,
Bringing his sheaves with him.Ps 126

heavenbound: Before on can be baptized in the blood of the lamb, one must confess to Jesus of their sinfulness begging His forgiveness. One must then repent of their sinfulness and make all effort to change their ways. Without true repentance the sins remain. Once forgiven by Jesus, one must also forgive oneself for forgiveness to be complete. Then and only then is one ready to be seen as dead in sinfulness and cleansed and reborn through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Hi Dave!

I agree one must accept Jesus as there Lord and repent of there sins- along with turn from them for God's transformation to happen/manifest.

Forgiving ourself and others comes in the purification and purging that God takes us through.

We are saved the second we believe in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and confess him with our mouth Jesus as our Lord. This is how God comes on the inside by our own free will choice to accept Jesus and begin to change us from faith to faith, glory to glory, step by step- a little at a time. Some things we can let go of quickly- yet some other stuff is so rooted in our hearts from living in this world and being abused by it and satan.

So God must come in on the inside of us first than later the change that has taken place will manifest and catch up to the outside of us.

Just because we may still have some challenges left in our life- it DOES Not mean God can not use us- remember he is looking for someone willing and looks at the heart.

We may have failures along the path of learning righteousness but those with a true heart to God won't give up and will trust that God's grace is sufficent, and his mercies are new everyday.

We do let God set standards and morals for us- but we will reach our full perfection once we get our new glorified heavenly bodies. Until then God help me to do right before you, convict me when I am wrong- I love you God and only desire to serve you- Father God I have fallen short and I pray that you strengthen me to endure all and that I will walk even closer and closer to you with each passing day.We can not change unless we go and seek for God's help- this walking away from all sin and receiving our total healing and deliverance is only possible in the strength of God, by His Holy Spirit- We are to ask for it in Jesus name.

The bible says we have not because we ask not- let's not fail to ask for what we need to serve him- even if it is desire to do right to start- God is faithful and if our heart is in the right place with the right intentions God will step into any mess and lead us.

This page is to encourage those who are standing for Jesus and in this fight to the end and want to finish the call God has on there life- Like us Dave!

God bless you!
