Over Coming by Knowning who we Are. Part 3

How Can We Overcome?

Satan Study Human beings and came up with a theory to try to control mankind by preventing us from overcoming. As Christians you must know how Satan’s craft works or we are in serious trouble. Satan found out something critical about mankind.

Our need for survival.

Need for food, love, sex, and power, significant, need for safety and security. Satan is the biggest physiologist around. Maslow a renowned psychiatrist and physiologist came up with 5 hierarchies of needs.

1. Physical needs; man’s basic needs, food, sleep and sex.

2. Safety and security; protection form threats and harm.

3. Love and Belonging; approved of, recognized

4. Esteem; regarded, respect.

5. Self actualization ; need for growth, to increase in personal matters, get Master, P.H.D. Maslow theorizes that if the lowest level of needs must be met before going on to the next level.

Satan as three hierarchies; 1. Physical,

2. Emotional

3. Physiological

Satan wants to be like God so he wants to fulfill man’s need, so he will provide easy ways for us to fulfill our needs, to keep us in is web.

But God in is infinite knowledge and wisdom fore knew this and tell us in

Matthew 6:25 . Satan will provide the Job-- Man or woman---Position. Matt. 6:31-33 God Said He Will Supply our needs. Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. The best time to hold a man is at his highest needs. Matthew 4. (Jesus temptation) Mat 4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Mat 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. THE NEED FOR SURVIVAL: (PHYSICAL NEEDS) Jesus could have turned stones into bread. Jesus did not take things into his own hands to fulfill his immediate needs. He simply said I will depend on God’s way and purpose. NOT THE WRONG WAY, NOT SATAN’S WAY.

Mat 4:5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, Mat 4:6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

THE NEED FOR SAFETY AND SECURITY DEVELOP. (EMOTOINAL NEEDS) Why did Jesus not jump? Jesus did not intended to test God on Satan’s level or Satan’s term.

Mat 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. (ASV) Jesus said unto him, Again it is written, Thou shalt not make trial of the Lord thy God. Deu 6:16 Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah. Mat 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; Mat 4:9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. THE NEED FOR ACHIEVEMENT AND POWER. (Physiological). God had already promise Jesus Christ the world

(Isa 9:6-7) (Psalms 110: 1) ( Zec 14:9) God also promise us the world (Dan 7:18) (Mat 5:3 and Mat 5:5 God as also promise us a position in his kingdom (Rev 2:26-27) If we are going to put the Lord’s work aside to achieve what we want we are going about it the wrong way. Your work in the church is important and Satan will do anything to prevent it. Satan wants to destroy God’s Plan. Jesus was able to resist the devil because (HE KNEW WHO HE WAS), (he knew the word of God). (He obeyed the Word)

Heb 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
Heb 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

Mr. Risden thank you for once again enlightening me about the goodness of salvation, we are human and we are not perfect, therefore having someone around to remind us about the goodness of grace is a wonderful blessing. Continue to teach the wonderful work of God. This world is coming to an end shortly and every man needs to find their balance with God.

Yes Dad, you are right..Because sometime it is so much easier to do wrong....he makes the ways clearer and more visual... while God wants us to have faith and trust him...That explains why Scientists argues so much with christians and has all kinds of points and remarks to pass. Stick to faith it works out better, because it brings less worries....a Scientist have run all kinds off experiment and sometime takes centuries too find the answer, but all we have to do is relax and trust god..his answers are always on time.....
