Short Moments of Peace

Peace can come in short moments without any effort on your part.

I think we all may have different ways of how we view and define peace. We sometime think that peace in this world is only a wish that we hope comes true. Many believe true peace will come when all guns fall silent. Others think it might come following the end of a long march for peace. Still others believe peace comes in the form of time alone without a care in the world. But for myself, I see peace all around us. The following reveals the simplicity of peace and it comes without effort. And I am sure many of us have shared these same kinds of short moments of peace.

Viewing a single blade of green grass bending from the wind.

Observing an ant carrying a tiny grain of sand as it climbs out of the mouth of a hole.

Feeling the ray of sun light as it gently touches the edge of your face early in the morning.

Checking on your sleeping child before you go to bed.

Noticing a single small cloud that blocks the sun for just a moment.

Standing on top of a mountian and feeling very tall.

A brief moment when you try to imagine what God looks like.

Watching a bird as it feeds it's young.

Wondering about the very moment you fell asleep.

Counting the number of colors in a rainbow just after a heavy rain.

Watching a drop of rain slide down a window.

Watching a puppy chewing on the end of an old shoe.

Watching a sunset, hoping it will last a few minates longer.

Looking up at the clear night sky and trying to count the stars.

Looking back at your childhood and laughing at something that was once long forgotten.

Sitting at the front steps of your house with your younger brother and counting all the red cars that go by.

Watching a bee dance around a flower.

Listening to the leaves as the wind glides through them.

Saying hello to someone as you pass him by.

Remembering how summer time seem to last forever when you were a kid.

Seeing the smiles on your parents faces when you tell them how much you love them.

The moment of peace when you realize just how much peace you had today.

God bless.

Much more beautiful and original than some things that I have read, and yet very simple. Truth is often just as delicate. I like this my Brother. Much creativity and yet sweet simplicity here. God bless.

An essence was captured and then given away freely here. I smelled, I saw, I heard, I touched and I tasted peace. Thank you friend

Eric- Your comments are always welcomed. I thank you once again. We all seek peace to some extent but I wanted to show how effortless it is to find. To show how much peace is all around us if we would just take the time to see it.

God bless

It is nice to be able to slow down, unwind and think of the peaceful things in life. This is a great list of everyday items that God can use to bless us.
