Some helpful suggestions for you.
Your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. —Matthew 6:8
Do you wonder why God does not answer your prayers? Here are some helpful suggestions for you.
One: is it necessary? Do you ask God like a spoiled child saying gimme gimme gimme? Do you only pray to God when you what something materialistic, like a handsome boy at school asking you out, or something like getting on the football team? Do you really need those things?
Two: Do you thank God when He answers your prayers, or do you forget about Him until you need something again? I have been in “friendships” like that and can tell you, they are disgusting and revolting. Those” friends” are quickly dropped and I wouldn’t cross the street for them. That is not friendship that is abuse. Do you actually believe God will permit you to be abusive to Him? Do you think He will answer prayers from spoiled ungrateful children?
Three: is it relationship centered? Do you ask God to give you knowledge of Him so you will develop a deeper love for Him and be in tune with Him?
Four: Is it to evangelize for Him? Do you ask Him for the wisdom, strength and opportunities to share Jesus with others?
These are the important aspects of prayer life.
Spread out your petition before God, and then say, "Thy will, not mine, be done." The sweetest lesson I have learned in God's school is to let the Lord choose for me. D.L. Moody
Yes it is okay to ask God to help you when you are in need, but just as important, don’t forget to thank Him afterwards. Sometimes though, you must go through the hard times to appreciate the good times. Sometimes it is in the hard times you learn to draw closer to Him and therefore are blessed.
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all. (2 Thessalonians 3:16)
