Spirit, Soul, and Body

I found this simple recipe in the no-frills section of the Bible: Gen. 2:7 (KJV); Gen. 3:6; John 4:24; 1 Thess. 5:23-24.

A Three-Part Man

Dust (one handful)

Free-will (1)

Soul (1)

Breath of God (a/k/a, Spirit of God) (1)

Combine dust, free-will, and soul. Blow the Breath of God into the mixture. Wait until the mixture becomes animated. You now have a three-part man, spirit, soul, and body. No cooking required.

God gave this to me, today, and said to post it on Hub Pages. It may appear humorous on the surface but it contains a basic Christian principle very few Christians really understand.

You are a triune being just like your triune Father. You are a spirit being, created in the image of God, Who is a Spirit; you possess a soul; and you live in a temporary house called a body.

There are too many Christians who believe the spirit and soul are the same, or, interchangeable. They are not! Each part is separate, but, when operated according to God's Word, work together like a well-oiled machine.

As a born-again believer, your flesh was never meant to lead the spirit, soul, body system that God gave you. That’s what you did before you gave your life to Christ! When you received Christ as Life, the Holy Spirit united with your human spirit and birthed you into God's spiritual Kingdom. This is the part of you that is saved, sealed, and completely redeemed, right now! This is the part of you that is Christ-like. Your soul, which is your mind, will, and emotions, is in the process of being saved, and, at Christ’s return, you will receive an eternal body. It’s the very basics of our faith, yet so few understand how it all works together.

Here's the good news. Things are about to change. We are on the verge of a Holy Spirit tsunami that will usher in the King of Kings. Don’t miss this! Get in the Word and ask God for more understanding and revelation about the spirit, soul, and body. He's waiting to hear from you.

To God be all the glory!

GodChaser- I agree with you on this. Spirit, Soul and Body if understood correctly would explain how we are sinners in soul and body, but our spirit part of us is perfect in Christ. I was going to write a HUB on this same subject myself.

God Bless

Graceinus - Thank you for your comment. The operation of the Spirit, Soul, and Body has been one of the best kept secrets in Christianity. I believe a powerful move of the Holy Spirit is upon us that will correct the traditions we've heard from the pulpit all these years. God has placed a passion within me to get this message out. Please write your article. We can battle the enemy with the written word! Thanks again.

Most interesting, I was referred by graceinus. I am trying to understand this notion better. I do not believe I have ever seen or heard anyone contradict this idea.

For me I am having a hard time separating the parts.

Thank you, Eric, for your comments. I was saved nearly 25 years ago and fortunate enough to receive this teaching right at the beginning of my walk. I believe we are coming into a mighty move of the Holy Spirit that will reveal, clarify, and, if need be, correct many things we've learned over the years, among which is the operation of the spirit, soul, and body. Recently, I heard one of the best teachings I've ever heard on this subject by Creflo Dollar. The name of the series is The Power of the Inner Man. It is well worth the investment. You can purchase the DVDs on his website. I strongly urge you to get this teaching and ask God for revelation and manifestation in your life. God is moving quickly in these end times, and if you earnestly pursue Him, He will give you the desire of your heart, now! Please contact me again after you have listened. I would love to know how God spoke to you through these teachings.
