Surviving Life 101 - Spiritual Cleansing

Your life is spinning out of control. Everyone you come into contact with except a very limited few seem to be ignorant to you or oblivious to your existence, the fact that you have thoughts and feelings. Your significant other, a loved one, best friend, someone whom you are really close to, who affects your life in magnitudes is either being a real jerk or not emotionally available to you right now. You just want to crawl under your bed or into it, pull the covers up over your head and sleep until this all goes away; but you can't because you have responsibilities.

Your best option now is to do a spiritual cleansing on your self, your personal space and your mode of transportation. Somehow, negativity has taken over your life and you need to reclaim it.

To do this, you will need sea salt, candles and incense. It is fairly simple and anyone can do this to better the quality of life at any time. I typically do one with each seasonal change whether I need to urgently or not. I also do this in my home to aid others in their cleansings as they happen simultaneously. Help is good in this instance. Call on the aid of a close friend or family member. Even a small child can spread handfuls of salt throughout your home. Enjoy this time of cleansing together. The more happiness you show outwardly, the more you will attract into your life.

With that in mind, start by removing any and all cobwebs from your home and/or office. Be sure to check behind doors, furniture and appliances as they like to hide there. Cobwebs have the tendency to catch and hold onto negative energies. If you haven't rid your personal space of cobwebs in a long time, imagine all the negative energies that may be trapped there. Maybe you went through a tough divorce years ago and your life has been in turmoil ever since, you can't find any level of happiness in your life and although you are ready to move on with a new love partner, things never seem to work out. Maybe there was some other devastatingly traumatic experience in your life that you forgot to clean up after...This first step alone will greatly benefit your situation. However, I do recommend that you follow the cleansing all the way through to attract the happiness and beauty into your life that you are worthy of.

Next, go through your home and spread the sea salts all over. Do not forget dark corners, closets, behind and under furniture, wherever you feel a good cleansing is needed. While you are doing this, focus your mind on the intention of removing all negativity. I personally think of this as adding salt to the wound of negative energies, burning them away from me, my family and my home. Also, while you are helping yourself, you may at this point wish to share these intentions with the Universe. Think of others who are suffering right at this moment and don't know what to do. Help them. There's no added work, just the courtesy of a thought ;)

Now you are ready to light the candles and incense. Be sure to spread them throughout your home, office and/or automobile. Place candles in unlit corners to bring light into that area of your life. You don't want to leave anything out. The smoke from the incense will travel through your home and cleanse. At some point, it will meet somewhere in the middle and send smoke signals to the Universe, calling assistance from the forces of Love and Light. Many Lightworkers work for you everyday despite your knowledge of them.

(Lightworkers are beings who have the strong inner desire to spread Light, Knowledge, Freedom and Self-Love throughout the entire galaxy. They sense this as their mission and are often attracted to spirituality and therapeutic work of some kind. Due to the urgency and deep feeling of this mission, Lightworkers often feel different from other people, experience different kinds of obstacles on their Way while life provokes them to find their own unique path. Nearly always solitary individuals, they do not fit into mainstream societal structures.)

At this point, you will need to open all windows possible and your kitchen and bathroom cabinets as well. Open your windows to release the negative energies from your home. The cabinets should be opened to allow the cleansing to work there as well.

Next, go through your home with either a bell, clapping your hands, banging pots together or anything you might come up with creatively to make a lot of noise. Do it loudly. This rushes the negative energy out. This part is fun so enjoy yourself while doing this. Do what your instinct tells you to do: laugh, scream to the bad energies to leave your space now, etc. I often do this with a friend who tends to cackle while we are doing this part of the cleansing. We have lots of fun and I think that spreads throughout the home and flushes it as well. Her home is always full of light once we are done. It's amazing :)

Now, play some soft or happy music, preferably something that is energizing to you and will make you want to dance around a little. Life is in fact a dance. If you dance and/or sing while cleaning, you call on positive energies to enter your space.

From this point in the cleansing, it is all clean up. Sweep, vacuum, dust, take trash out. Remove everything that you don't want there. Don't forget to continue your song and dance. It adds your positive energies, positive emotions to the area being cleansed and makes the lasting affect very nice.

You may use any candles or incense that you wish. It is advisable that you use those things that speak to you personally (feel good to you).

I am about to do a cleansing of my house and a get rid of clutter operation. I have previously cleansed with white sage. I didn't know cobwebs held onto negative energies. Thanks for the interesting hub.

Good evening, Tom :) It's nice to hear that you had a fantastic afternoon :D I'm enjoying my evening in much the same fashion :) The little ones are doing great. They are with their father this week. Sarah, the youngest of my girls, is hard at work becoming a writer at the ripe old age of 10. Her first piece is due to be published next week sometime :) The boys are still the boys lol Tommy is doing better now that we have leveled out his medication. I tried having his dosage lowered with his older brother's, but it didn't go well. As long as I can keep them semi-active, things are pretty good in my hood :) Have a wonderful evening, my friend :)

For thoese that have breathing problems and have to have inhalers. I use a smokeless smudge. I boil bottled water in a pot on the stove with dried rosemary, whitesage, ceadar and salt.. cook it down let it cool and place in a spritzer bottle like for house plants. Its great when you need to mist your self when you had a bad day

Hi. I was wondering if the angel picture and Blessed Be picture are sold anywhere? I would love to purchase both and hang them in my house after my cleansing. The Angel picture really inspires me! Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Blessings!!

Dearest Melanie,

I have been looking around this morning in search of the particular photographs used within this work. So far, I have come up empty with avenues for purchasing them online. Above, I have added some beautiful photographs of angels which you might like. However, if none of these appeal to you, I would be willing to work on creating something special for you. If you wish, you may contact me personally at enchantmentinthewind@yahoo.com. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment on my work. It's a pleasure to see you here :)

Good info, it's so important to do an occasional cleansing, kind of like taking the car for a tune up & oil change periodically. I consider it maintenance. Nice hub.

I so agree with your suggestions about doing an occasional cleansing. I like taking a detox bath. Doing a day of gardening also gets me into a new tuneup mode. Great hub.

Merry Meet, Nadine May. Yes, I usually follow the house cleansing with self cleansing. Detox baths are awesome, and gardening is super amazing! We have just shy of eight acres here on Virginia's Eastern Shore. I'm shooting to eventually get it all planted, but I'm the only gardener here. Henceforth, I think my dreams outrun my stamina by a long shot. Still, with a few extra cups of Yerba Mate everyday, I just might make it ;) Thank you for reading and commenting. It's always a pleasure to hear about how others keep themselves grounded and in good physical and psychological shape as well. Many Blessings!

Wow! I must need a cleansing... I really really enjoyed just reading that. Even though I already know how to do cleanings on myself and my home it just felt so good to read along and go on the journey with you imagining you clapping and screaming. I loved it. I have also purchased those same White Sage smudge sticks from amazon. They are very good quality.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoying the ride with me, newbizmau. That means more to me than you know! I'm doing another cleansing today. I love the White Sage! I can't always burn it, because there are people in my home who do not enjoy the scent as much as I do; but I do smudge every chance I get. Wishing you a very blessed day, today and always!

@VAMPGYRL420

Have you ever tried Sweetgrass or Lavender Resin Incense... I like to use those too.

I love Sweetgrass! I have never tried Lavender Resin, but I do burn Lavender Oil every day in my lamp. Is Lavender Resin more strongly scented? My office, as it lies in the living room (where everyone else always wants to be), is a high-traffic, high stress area for me. I need all the Lavender power in here that I can get!

The Resin Incense I use are by Nature Nature! Yes its much more aromatic and more like burning resins in a burner accept on a stick the same as you would burn regular incense. https://www.spiritualscents.com/c-130-resin-sticks... This site has a good selection but I see that the Lavender is currently out of stock. But there are many others to choose from. I would search Nature Nature Resin Lavender Incense online. I'm sure another site may still have some in stock. Lavender is probably one of the most popular of the Resin Incense sticks. I may try to learn to make them myself. That's a great niche that no one else is hardly doing.

Also by the way I would Choose a large Cathedral or other Geode shape of Amethyst and some Blue Quartz for decor to Calm the High traffic areas of your home. Specifically ask them to cleanse and keep clear intense energy and keep your space calm for your work environment. Burn a Lavender Resin incense at least once a week to keep that going.

Thank you, newbizmau! I'll try to find some! Keep me in the loop. I'd love to try some if you begin making your own!

I definitely will. I hear its not so hard. I live in the south so I'd probably be one of the ONLY making my own incense. Sounds like a good plan since Crystals are only just becoming popular and everybody already loves incense. I'm ready to start another business.
