Let His sunshine of love brighten your day
Don't go into the sewer
A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy man keeps a secret. Proverbs 11:13, New International Version
THE CIRCLE. One game that is a favorite when teaching ESL is sitting the students in a circle. The teacher whispers something to a student next to them. They whisper it to the next student. It goes around until it comes back to the teacher. It is NEVER what the teacher said and a lot is added. So too is gossip. The difference is that although it is funny in class, it is not so funny when you do it about other people. It hurts and can cause a lot of unjustified trouble. Remember “Do not do to others as you would not like them do to you.” You don’t like it when people say hurtful untrue things about you, do not do it to them.
Prayer: My loving Father, please guide my words and actions that they may bring healing and peace to others. When the “gossip mill” starts around me, please give me the strength to politely inform the others I will not be a part of the “sewer talk” and walk away. When others are hurt by this vile disgusting filth, please encourage me to go over and comfort themIn Jesus’ loving name I pray. Amen
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day
