Six of Pentacles Reversed

When the Six of Pentacles is upright, it shows that the querent is or will be receiving abundance from the world. Sometimes this is through charity, while other times it is hard earned and well deserved. The meaning of the reversed Six of Pentacles can often be confusing. At first glance it appears looks as though the abundance that just feel into your hand, has just fallen out of it again. Though when we dig a little deeper, we can see that the money hasn't fallen away from us in literal terms. It's how we are looking at the situation. The querent is probably focusing to much on the lack in their life right now, instead of what already have.

The Six of Pentacles reversed usually appears in readings involving work, finance or love. It can indicate a time when we are thinking to negatively about these aspects in our lives. If it's work or finance related, it might be that we are working a job or earning money in a way we aren't happy with. In this situation, it could mean that it's time to go in a new direction, while more often then not, we simply need to change the way we think about our work. Is it really as bad as we are telling ourselves? Or does it just seem that way at the moment?

If this card appears under a question of love or relationships, it either indicates an imbalance in the couple - such as one person giving or taking more than the either. Or it shows that the querent is thinking to much about the downsides of the relationship and not taking the time to appreciate what they have. This can lead to a situation where the person continues to give less and less, expecting more to come from the situation. Taking a step back at what all is really there, can help to turn this situation around.

When you receive a reversed Six of Pentacles in a reading, the trick is to remember that the card isn't point out what's wrong in your world, it's showing you that you have an opportunity for happiness and abundance if you can change your thinking patterns.

Three of Cups Reversed

The Three of Cups in reverse can leave a rather sour taste in the mouth. It often appears in readings involving love, relationships or business.

In it's upright position, the Three of Cups indicates positive social relationships, communication and excitement. It shows that the good things in life are around to be enjoyed. When the card is reversed, it shows these aspects in the extreme. The querent or person in question is overindulging in one or more parts of their life. They might be playing to hard, working to hard and taking unnecessary amounts of things they don't really need.

The Three of Cups reversed can sometimes indicate that good fortune is around but not seen, though it is usually a bad omen, indicating negative karma coming from overindulgence. If the reading is career related, it can show that a new partnership is not going to work out well, or that you are giving too much to the situation or asking to much from it. If this card appears in a reading surrounding love and relationships, it can indicate infidelity, lust, extra-marital relationships or the end of a relationship.

Six of Pentacles Reversed + Three of Cups Reversed =

In it's basic expression, the reversed Six of Pentacles shows - the illusion of lack. It is not really a situation where you don't have anything, it's a situation where you (or the querent) is only focusing on the lack in their lives, which only brings ore of it around. The reversed Three of Cups, at it's basic level, shows - overindulgence and the consequences that follow.

So in combination, these two cards indicate a situation of overindulgence with the illusion of lack. This could be coming from the querent or from a person that the reading is about.

When brought together in a reading, these two cards can tell an interesting tale. Pay attention to the querents reason for asking, and you'll understand what the cards are telling you. Here are some potential meanings:

~Everything seems to be turned upside in the querents life right now, which could be causing a lack of proper blood flow to the brain... help them see that abundance is all around them and show them that if they can take a different perspective, they will be able to turn their world around again.

~Stress and overindulgence have created a huge imbalance in the querents life. More of this will come if they can't solve the situation, find a better situation or view their situation from a better perspective.

~A lack of money or compensation will follow through social, familial or career related projects.

~Infidelity is present or suspected to be present and this has created lack in other areas of the querents life. They are too consumed by their fears or knowledge of undesirable obstacles.

~It may seem like the querents health has taken a turn for the worst, but most of it is an illusion and the rest is from overindulgence. Getting on a better health, diet and exercise plan can make a huge difference, so long as the querent recognizes they are sabotaging themselves.

Numerologically Speaking...

Together, the Three of Cups and Six of Pentacles show the number 9. This number represents change, endings, completions, spiritual healing, love, wisdom and romance.

The number nine is often a sneaky one, numerologically speaking, as it tends to come upon us when we least expect it to. It seeks to start the clock over again, and to bring things to a close so that there is room for new beginnings.

Without knowing specifically what the question of your love reading was, I can only give you General interpretations. First and foremost, I think when you said, "two of love", you probably meant "two of cups" which is usually considered a lovers card. With the two of cups and three of cups in a reading, we can already assume that there are plenty of emotions involved in this reading, which is used more as a confirmation that an actual answer to any questions. Though it can be a part of your answer as well, depending on what your question was.

Now, if I were to simply go with my intuition and use the exact order of the cards as you have described them, that shows: two of cups - death - three of cups.

In general, I could translate that to mean: love - death - party or love - death - rejoice or even love - death - community. To me, that would signal one of two things. A) The relationship is heading towards an end, but it won't be all bad and you'll find plenty of support when it's over, or B) The relationship is about to go through a transformation and when the roughest parts are over, you'll both be stronger because of the trials you went through and you'll probably feel like celebrating.

Those interpretations though, are highly subjective to whatever question you asked the cards to answer. Trust your intuition. Look for what sticks out the most in the cards and then divine the answer from what FEELS right to you. =)
