The Death of America Part 3
We have previously seen that according to Jeremiah 50 and 51 that Babylon was born of a mother country. It is a relatively young country, that is, it is a new world country. Babylon is a melting pot of nations. Its northern most border contains much wealth. It is a country that was in God's hands, both for establishing His Word and for judgment. Jeremiah's Babylon is surrounded by much water. I will not belabor the point that the Biblical description fits perfectly with America in the 21st century. (Read Parts One and Two for more details).
So how will America be destroyed? In Jeremiah 51:1 we see a destroying wind. Judgment will be to the heavens (verse 9). Glowing arrows will streak to her destruction (verse 51:11; 50:9), and judgment will come from the north.
If I am standing as far west as the Hawaiian Islands or if I'm standing as far east as Cape Cod MA, the only country that is directly north to all areas is Russia. Bible prophecy students have long accepted the idea that judgment will come from Russia and other nations under her control. Regardless of what we are led to believe, Russia has over 10,000 ICBM's at their disposal.
Although no one can say for sure, consider this. An ICBM creates destroying winds up to 1,000 mph. If one were to hit Chicago, IL, the effects would topple buildings in Indianapolis IN. They would streak through the sky as glowing arrows speeding at 25,000mph. The blast of a single ICBM is 10,000 times hotter than our sun. Five or six would easily sink America into the waters surrounding her. Jeremiah 50:9 tells us that not one will miss despite a possible defense shield (Jeremiah 51:53).
Revelation 18 speaks of the same Babylon. According to verses 10, 17, 19, Babylon (America) will be destroyed in one hour. I am told that an ICBM attack on America would take 15 minutes from launch to hit. There just will not be enough time to respond. It may seem impossible. Didn't 9/11 seem impossible on 9/10?
America's destruction will be swift. It will be complete. Why is God going to do this to our beloved country? Look for part 4 to answer that question.
