The Doctrine of Christology

This quote is from Dr. Terry VanBuskirk, executive vice president of Salt Lake Baptist Bible College in Taylorsville, Utah. I know the hub is short but I will not comment further for I could not do or ad anything that can further Doc Van's saying.
" No other doctrine of the Bible has a more direct bearing on mankind than the doctrine of Christ. Man's eternal destiny- Heavens bliss or Hell's torments- is more inextricably bound up with this doctrine.
If even one facet is wrong then we are doomed. If it is twisted one iota away from the Scriptures and truth, then the agonyof the doctrine's destruction and fall will only be transcended by the eternity of the unending agony of our everlastingly damned souls. And the sound of it's(doctrine's) fall will be drowned by our agonized screams of torment echoing down through the unending ages of eternity.

even if there was something wrong in the N.T. as long as the Christian always tried doing the right thing, did what he or she can to go to the need of their fellow man, the Christian tries to be the best person they can be, worship and praise the Lord, try to get closer to the Lord, all this with a true heart, then the Christian will make it into the Lords Kingdom, even if it is only by the skin of the teeth. you will be judged by your heart, you just have to keep the same heart seven days a week,52 weeks a year

CS Lewis said either Christ is who He says He is, or He is a lunatic, there is no other option. You cannot separate His claims from His teachings. Its all or nothing for us; frankly, I much prefer the all in side. Good hub.

MichaelAdams1959, Marvelous! That was straight to the point! "" No other doctrine of the Bible has a more direct bearing on mankind than the doctrine of Christ. Man's eternal destiny- Heavens bliss or Hell's torments- is more inextricably bound up with this doctrine." Amen! To not know Jesus Christ, is to miss the reason for life itself! "He Is The WAY, The TRUTH And The LIFE!

Thank you for sharing, In His Love, Grace, Joy, Peace & Blessings!

Amen our destinies are bound in the doctrine of the Bible. It is of utmost importance to stay in His word that we don't slide away from it's doctrine for worldly values.
