The Four Soul-Types, According to Konstantinos
Are there types of souls?
I recently read something in a book that I found more than interesting...I found it hit home with me. In Konstantinos' book, he explains his theory that there are four kinds of souls on this earth and that each one of us have a "soul-type".
I've always thought that everything in this world and everyone in this world couldn't just merely be black and white. I'm not talking race either...I'm talking about the concept of people being just good and evil. There has to be a gray area; at least that's a thought that I've always had, even since I was a little girl. Think about it. You have people out there who proclaim to be doing things for the good of others, when in reality they are doing those things only to gain for themselves. And you have people out there who make mistakes, horrible mistakes, but truly regret what they've done and yet society would still label them as "evil".
So without further ado, let me introduce the four soul-types according to Konstantinos.
The four soul-types are Good-Light, Evil-Light, Good-Dark, and Evil-Dark. This breaks down the concept of simple good and evil into further categories...and introduces that gray area that so many of us have always believed existed.
Good-Light: The Most Common Soul-Type
Probably the most common soul-type, at least we would like to imagine would be the most common, is what Konstantinos calls the Good-Light soul. Well, isn't good and light the same thing, might be what you're thinking at this point. Good and light are not the same thing, at least that's what Konstantinos believes and I have to agree with him.
The word "good" refers to something or someone who acts out of kindness and positivity towards humanity and the world in general; whereas the word "light" is representative of the surroundings of a person as well as that person's interests and personality. Someone who lives in the "light" aspect is someone who enjoys surroundings such as Churches, sunlight, beaches, positive hobbies such as sports, gardening, crafts, etc.
So put them together and you get a Good-Light person. A Good-Light person is someone who generally has a positive outlook on life and wants to be kind to others. Their focuses are typically on being a productive member of society, active in some sort of religion, and their energy is generally bright and cheery. This is not to say that everyone who is Good-Light encompasses the traits I've mentioned here, but this is just to give you an idea as to what we mean when we say "Good-Light" soul-type.
Examples (solely in my opinion, you may disagree) of Good-Light soul-type people could be Mother Theresa, Bono, Deepok Chopra, Gandhi, and the list could go on.
Evil-Light: Sometimes More Common Than We Would Think
On the same end of the light spectrum are the "Evil-Light" soul-types. How could someone be Evil-Light? Well, think about it. Not all evil people surround themselves with darker things in life. Some evil people actually appear to be Good on the outside, but if we were to find out their hidden motives we would find that they are indeed Evil.
Evil-Light soul-types surround themselves with all of the normal and expected things in life, which includes but isn't limited to: good deeds, good jobs, families, religion, etc. But when it comes down to the wire, sometimes these Evil-Light soul-types are exposed...and their souls are not Good (or kind, positive souls) in the least. These people we would consider to be Evil-Light.
Examples of these soul-type people could include (please forgive me if I seem to be stereotyping, because in the end you have to decide what soul-type you may be and what soul-types are around you): corrupted politicians, corrupted preachers/pastors, bad cops, etc.
It is unfortunate because most of us want to believe that the majority of people are Good, but the reality is that not everyone is Good. Many people that pretend to be good or put on a facade that they want to do good are simply not on the inside. These people are Evil-Light soul-types and are probably more common than we would think.
Now we're approaching the other side of the light spectrum, the "dark" side. The first soul-type on the dark side is the Good-Dark soul-type. Seems like an oximoron, doesn't it? I can assure you that it's not. In fact, I consider myself to be a Good-Dark soul-type. Why?
A Good-Dark soul-type is a person who is inherently good-hearted and wants to act kindly and make the world a better place (be it how large or small) but these people have a darker side to them. Much of the time the good-dark soul-types do not share their dark side with the people around them, but inside of their minds they may be thinking or interested in darker things in life. Examples of their interests could include morbid things such as gorey movies, books about death, graveyards, a gothic lifestyle and interests in general. They may revel in things such as the paranormal and the unexplainable mysteries in the world that most good-light people have no interest in whatsoever or may find a bit "strange".
Some good-dark soul-type people are out in the open about their darker side, such as celebrities like Lady Gaga. Why do I say Lady Gaga is good-dark? She inherently wants to do good for humanity, contributing to charities and truly wanting to make a difference in the youth of America, while making videos that blatantly show her rebellion against mainstream religion and breaching what society finds normal or conservative. Watch her video for Alejandro that I have posted to the right and you'll understand what I mean immediately.
Other open good-dark soul-types could include many gothic people. The stereotype is that gothic people are "evil", when in reality many of them are some of the kindest most accepting people I've ever met.
If you are good-dark, you'll know it.
Evil-Dark is probably the most predictable soul-type of the four. What pops into your mind when we say "Evil-Dark" soul-type? Usually the image of a serial killer without regret for their actions pops into our imagination. Or possibly someone who hurts children?
Evil-Dark is the exact opposite of Good-Light, and yet is still opposite of Good-Dark. Evil-Dark soul-type people are people who have no concern for other human beings or decent things in this world. Evil-Dark is someone who does everything out of spite or selfishness with no remorse for their evil actions. The dark side of them plays into this especially if they are acting out dark notions such as murder or sexual force or perversions of some kind that hurt others.
Good examples could include Charles Manson, the Countess Elizabeth Bathory, and other serial and mass murderers. I'm sure you could think of some others so I'll stop it there.
So how does this help any of us to know or be able to put a name on different soul-types that might exist in this world? For me, the idea of four soul-types seemed to explain reality and occurrences in this world that I could never quite attribute to simply "good" or "evil". I have always felt like there were gray areas, but for whatever reason many people don't want to admit that. Things can't just be all good or all evil...they can't just be all white and all black. There are medians to these concepts. And to think that there are more people than just good and evil makes much more sense to me.
It also makes me feel better about my own soul. I know that I want to do good for others...that is why I am going to school for nursing, as cliché as that may sound. However, I was always taught that to be interested in darker things in life was obviously "evil"...now I know that that is not true and the concept of soul-types only further supports my beliefs.
What do you think? Are things just simply black and white...right or wrong? What soul-type are you?
