The Glory of Believing
The Glory of Believing
"Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God."
‘Believe and see' is one of the major principle of the kingdom. We have to believe first before we see God's glory. Faith is the most essential element of the Christian life. By grace through "faith" we are saved. Without "faith" it is impossible to please God. When I pronounce "faith" I mean the living faith, not the dead faith. The living faith is also the saving faith. It is not merely head knowledge or intellectual assent, but the faith that saves is alive.
The saving faith is the kind of faith that yields one's life completely to the Savior's feet. It is the faith that does not hold reservation in giving up everything for the Master's sake. It is the kind of faith that leads someone to complete and total repentance unto God. The true genuine saving faith truly regenerates one's heart. It is the kind of faith that leads one to experience the fullness of God's glory.
As we walk the narrow path of the Christian life, this saving faith lives on and produces good works in a believer's life. It is important to hold on to the faith that once saved us. While holding on to this faith, the glory of God is gradually being revealed to believer. It is known as the progressive continuous revelation of God in the believer's life.
The glory of God is being revealed only to the genuine believer, the true regenerate person (the person who experience spiritual rebirth through receiving Christ as personal Savior and Lord ). A mere head knowledge of God won't reveal God's glory. Mere profession of the christian faith without complete surrender to the teachings, beliefs, doctrines, practices of Christianity, one will not experience revelation of God's glory.
