The Key of David

Updated on February 16, 2014

The Key of David

Who has the "Key of David"?

Why is the key important?

What can the key do?

Keys are for opening doors. In a lot of cities today they
honor people by giving them the "KEY TO THE CITY".

There is One who has the Key to all cities!
He has the key that can open ALL doors!

His name is Jesus Christ and He has the Key of David.

In Revelations 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write;

These things saith he that is holy, he that is true,
he that hath the key of David, he that openeth,
and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;

Why is it the key of DAVID? David was the King of Israel.
He was a man after God's own heart.
He loved the Lord and the Lord loved David.
The Lord God of Israel gave David a unique and honored
position in Israel, forever the city is called the "City of David".
As King, David could go any where
and do anything. He had to power to literally
open any door that was closed to him.
Because He was a man of God, he used that
power with love and respect for the most part.
He failed a few times, but repented and God forgave him.

To call the key that Jesus has, "The Key of David"...
denotes an honor to him. How God is intimately
involved in our lives, in the lives of human beings
is fascinating to me!

Now, Jesus has this key and He is saying that
He can open doors that no one can shut and
shut doors that no one can open!

So, when the Lord gave me this Scriptures last year,
I have been claiming it and standing upon it...
then someone from Philadelphia called me and wanted to offer
us a great deal on a channel there! Wow!
Rev. 3:7 was to the "Church in Philadelphia".
Now, the Lord was opening a TV channel in Philadelphia!
I am always amazed at how God works
and if we remain open, He will do great things in our midst!

Our job is to be open, believe for big things to
happen and to not worry, but PRAY AND OBEY...
it is God's job to GUIDE and PROVIDE and
He will make the way where there seems no way...
that is how we know it is God!

Life is an exciting journey...
I never know what I will be doing...
but it sure is exciting and fun to
be a part of what God is doing on the earth today!

Until next time...

Linda Cross
