The Passing Value of An Earthly Marriage
“At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage. They will be like the angels in heaven .”

Human marriage is temporal, it is only observed in an earthly life. Marriage is not eternal. In Heaven,men will not be given in marriage. So it does not really matter much if you were not able to marry here on earth , for marriage is such a temporal thing, it is not eternal. The only marriage that will happen in Heaven is the marriage of Christ and His bride, the Church. It is just alright to miss an earthly marriage , but missing marriage with Christ in Heaven is the greatest loss of all.
Human marriage is so temporal as temporal as an earthly life is. A woman should not be obsessed with a marriage or with a lifetime partner, as to miss the great things the Lord has stored for her. Marriage I believe is a gift from God. We should be thankful to God if He has blessed us with a godly lifetime partner. But it should not be our everything. Our relationship with God should still be our greatest treasure not our our marriage. For marriage is so temporal and we should never place our security on it
The one thing that really matter most is our relationship with God for it is eternal. If God has not blessed us with an earthly marriage, we should still be thankful to Him for chosing us to be His child and blessing us with an eternal relationship with Him. A man may have enjoyed a beautiful marriage in this life, but without having a relationship with God, his life will be in great vain for he will miss Heaven. Missing Heaven not an earthly marriage is the greatest loss of all. What is the use of having a marriage without possessing a relationship with God.
Our relationship with God is the greatest treasure of all for it will lead us to experience marriage with Christ in Heaven. It is alright to miss an earthly marriage but how can we afford to miss a heavenly marriage? A truly spiritually beautiful woman is the one whose confidence and security is firmly established in God. Even without a man in her life, she could still be happy for it is her relationship with God the thing that truly matters in her life. For her, marriage is not the source of her happiness, but pleasing God and remaining in the center of His will are the important things to her. She will rather choose to remain single than marry a man that will lead her away from her God. She will forego of marriage prospects that are most likely to ruin her relationship with God.
Marriage is not everything in this life. It is just alright to desire it but we should never be obsessed with it for sometimes it is one thing that will ruin or destroy one’s life. One thing that we should never cease from pursuing and desiring is to have a face to face intimate relationship with God. We should rest our security only in our relationship with God for it is the only thing that is bound for eternity not our earthly marriage. The center of our life should be God and our relationship with Him not our marriage for men is bound to fail us even wives or husbands. For a husband may betray his wife and finds another woman. It happens many times. Cheating in marriages is so prevalent in our time. A woman should never rest her security in her relationship with a man for such relationship is so fragile.
We are perfectly secure in our relationship with God for God will never fail us. He will never betray us. He does not change. He will remain faithful through the passing of years. So rest your confidence in Him completely.
