The Potential of Transformation

Can you see the wind, how it swirls and carries the sounds of distant events; you can hear sounds, but not see their source. There are many things in life we know are there, but we cannot see them, yet they remain as real as if we could. A shame we can't see our own hearts like that, have faith in its source and know it to be real.

Life can be, well... difficult, stressful and at times almost too much to bear. Yet we have such potential, such an enormous well of possibility within our grasp, but we often ignore it to our own detriment. Who we are, what we feel and how we love is so often enclosed within us, not opened at all in a finite sense. We all create walls of protection: with complete strangers, with people we know well and even family who have know us their entire life. We do this for self-protection, to ensure we are in control and only communicate what we can afford to, in our own understanding. You see we all feel there are things to be hidden, to be excluded, even from our loved ones. This vetting of feelings and potential in a way strangles us, limits us to what we can handle, rather than what we are capable of experiencing and giving.

Within us lies a potential to love that is staggering, and few of us ever realise it, primarily out of fear. The reality is that without our walls we are vulnerable and heavens knows we don't need to be open to this world of pain unnecessarily. But imagine if you allowed yourself to love everything living, appreciate all that life has to offer and live a life of kindness, sharing all those feelings with everyone you met. Think of what a different world that would create. Think about it; if every soul on earth decided to adopt love as a way of thinking, and allowed themselves to find love in their hearts, there would be cessation of all contention and a harmonious world would result.

Sounds impossible doesn't it, we're so used to all the hate and negativity, it's jammed down our throats twenty four hours a day; you only have to turn on the TV. But if we as individuals decided consciously to make this change of thinking, the affect on the world would be dramatic. Love is a like a magnet, it attracts people, inspires them to find the same within themselves and then walk into the world spreading that same inspiration.

I know this is my dream, my fantasy if you like, but dreams can come true, and it all starts with us as individuals. When we begin to adopt love rather than fear or hate, our lives change, and everyone around us sees the difference. Soon, you will be passing on this change and it never stops. The more of us that accept this thinking the better the world will become.

You may see this as a trite fantasy, but look how easily hate and fear have taken over the world. Love is far more powerful in its expression and that proves beyond doubt that we can turn this abyss we've created into the paradise is should have always been. It's simply our decision.

Thank you Sandie, and for writing down Mandela's words. We indeed share these thoughts and pray one day people will adopt them and shine. Take care.

Powerful from beginning to end. I share your dream for life-changing expressions of love.

"A shame we can't see our own hearts like that, have faith in its source and know it to be real." That really got my attention.

I admire the photography also.

Nelson Mandela:

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Beautiful hub, Tony.

Thanks John, yeah it wouldn't take much, just individuals taking on love rather than all the crap we're fed. Take care.

I'm with you Tony, let's take this world by the scruff if the neck and use love to turn it around, and into the paradise it began as.
