"The Promise Fulfilled" ~ Part Six ~

Heaven and Hell are Real

If I did not share my faith which gave me the hope for victory over my addictions I would be depriving you of the source, God, from which my Hope came. So I also share these things with you, in love.

So too is my belief that God, in these last days and tines, has because of His great love and concern for our eternal destinies, allowed some people to return to life after having physically died for a time. And some have recovered after having what is called " a near death experience."

The Bible declares that “God would have that none be lost", which is why He has not yet fulfilled the Promise of His return to “put all things right” and under Jesus' feet.

“The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.“ {Peter 3:9}

As I was saying, I personally believe the testimonies which I have heard from those who have, for some many minutes in time, passed through the thin veil which separates life from death. Those who personally experienced what hell and heaven are like have very profound stories to share. I can tell you one thing and that is that those who died lost and God gave them the gift of returning to their bodies from hell? Their lives were intrinsically changed forever. As were the others but those who have experienced what hell is like seem to have gone on to become Pastors or Christians who God has used.

I believe that the Lord allowed them to return in this present age in His efforts to demonstrate to us that Heaven and Hell are two separate and very distinct realities. Not some fairy tale with which to delight a person’s mind, or if the latter, cause them to have horrendous fears and nightmares. I submit to you that He allows these events to happen to awaken us out of our collective stupors to be able to choose to recognize that life exists on the other side of the thinnest of veils which separates the natural world from the supernatural one.

I have heard and as I said, believe, the testimonies of many of the people as I have watched their faces and can see, as you could too, that they are telling the truth when they speak of the indescribable beauty of Heaven as best they could with limited and natural earthly languages. Still though there remain those “skeptics” who choose to believe that God is somehow limited in what He will or will not do on behalf of the humanity He created and gave His own Son for the salvation of. I feel that since He gave His one and only Son then what these people testify to is quite easily feasible to imagine the reality of.

Then too there are as well the skeptics of the experiences of Hell no matter how amazingly changed these people and their lives are after having experienced such terror. These for the most part, are souls who died “first” without choosing to respond to God’s invitation to come and be restored and justified before Him through Jesus Christ. One man by the name of Bill Weiss wrote a book, (and you also can see His videotaped presentation from a church he spoke at on the internet), concerning what he saw and experienced without the knowledge that he was in reality a saved man when God placed him in the bowels of hell to spend “23 Minutes in Hell”. It’s nothing I’d even wish for people as evil as Adolf Hitler to spend eternity in, but he is there right now I assure you. In fact he went to hell to be tormented at the very second of his death. How do I know that? He died without Christ as his Lord and Savior.

You and I, we CHOOSE where we will go before we die. That choice will at some point be made by you even at the question I pose to you here: “What will YOU do with Jesus?” Your decision will echo throughout your eternities.

Even after such amazing incidences as these men and women have told us of, many will choose to ever be the cynic and shut out His “voice” beckoning them to come to Him by way of the cross where He paid your sin debt and my sin debt in full. Those who decide to silence His voice speaking within their hearts reject the same Shepherd that left His other “99 sheep” to come and look for them, the 100th sheep, just as He did with me. All these things are a part of my story, for without Christ there never would have been a story to tell or a testimony to share with you, for I would be physically dead and in torment in the Pit right now.

Think about it, God, through Jesus Christ, cloaked Himself with the same kind of garment of human flesh that you and I on earth wear. He chose to live here with us on this earth which He created by the Word of His mouth because only He, and none other, could live on our behalves the perfect and sinless life that He knew that we could not, no matter how fervently we might choose to “try“ and be good on our own merits.

Did you get that? He left Heaven by purposeful choice with the full knowledge of what He would have to endure and suffer while in His body for the salvation and redemption of mankind. For approximately thirty-three years He lived without committing even one sin. Thus submitting Himself to God the Father and obeying Him completely.

Jesus suffered unfathomable agony for you and I. He, who is God, willingly submitted Himself to enduring vehement, demonic hatred, mocking and ridicule from the very creatures He Himself created. When with just a mere word, one tiny utterance from His mouth? He could have chosen to wipe us all out for our irreverence and disbelief! I will share with you what He went though from scripture:

The Suffering and Glory of the Servant:

"See, my servant will act wisely; he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted. Just as there were many who were appalled at him - his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness— so he will sprinkle many nations, and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand. {Isaiah 52:13-15}

Isaiah 53 continues:

"Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. By oppression and judgment he was taken away. Yet who of his generation protested? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was punished. He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.

Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.

After he has suffered, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities. Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."

As I contemplate what Jesus went through on my behalf, on all of our behalves, at the selfsame moment I find my heart breaking anew even as at the same moment gratitude swells my heart for Him because of the sins which I personally committed against Him over and over again through the years….

As you can see what Jesus endured before the cross during His mock trial, the severity of His scourging and what He went though being forced to carry His own cross in that terrible emaciating condition to Golgotha, is written in the Holy Bible in graphic detail. So many multitudes of years before it ever happened.

As I stated earlier the Holy Bible was written for mankind's edification and to show us who Jesus is, and was not, after all, written for us in man-made ink but with the shed Blood of Jesus the Christ which NONE can ever erase! No matter how earnestly they may try.

When I earlier spoke of that "voice" inside of me that assured me that the victory had already been won that day? He also won that very same victory for you to deliver you and break the chains of the bondage to sin that Satan has entangled you in, just as he did me for thirty six years. If you will only choose to believe Him and to let Him.

What? Did I just hear you say you have no sin? If so, then I must share this with you because if there is anyone, I repeat, anyone, who actually believes they have not done anything wrong at all in their lives to sin against God which they need to ask Jesus to forgive them of and set them free from the power of? Well, to you who may say something like that I place here for you the Word of the Living God which says of such a one this:

"If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us." {1 John 1:8}

And also another scripture as well:

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us." {1 John 1:9-10}

After having realized the significance of being told the victory through and in Christ had already been won, no matter what the battle is, I received it into my spirit. Oh not right away…but I was “gnawing on it” meditating upon what the words meant. If I had rejected that awesome truth, who’s to say that I would have even survived that next drug and/or alcohol binge? Who’s to know, except for God, that my heart may have not burst or I had had an aneurysm in my brain and died and went to the place I certainly deserved to be apart from Christ.

Today I know that if such a scenario had played out in real life I would have assuredly went to a place the Bible calls hell because I had refused to accept all that He sent His Spirit to do to help me SEE that I was a sinner in need of God's forgiveness and help. And that apart from Jesus there is NO other way. There was only One Way that I would make it to the other side of that cocaine covered door that imprisoned me through my flesh and that Way is Jesus the Christ, the only begotten Son of the Living God. I cannot help but speak of Him again and again and make no apologies for it!

Jesus says of Himself:

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." {John 14:6}

Today governments and other unregenerate men and women work tirelessly towards their antichrist agenda of attempting to remove all remembrance of Almighty God from public view here in America. And also the world around us to my understanding. The Godless "ACLU" and "Freedom from Religion Foundation", among others, try and force what is in effect their own religious views upon the believing world by such things as removing Nativity scenes at Christmastime, or the Ten Commandments of Law and Morality that God wrote on tablets of stone with His very own finger to show us all what sin is before Him our Elohim, our Creator. They do so in an attempt to minimize God which they will never be able to do no matter how long or hard they try. God IS. He doesn't need mans permission to exist, He always has existed. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

The Ten Commandments which constitute the “Book of the Law” that God gave to Moses, the Israelites, and the entire world, were written down to show us how we are called to live morally and spiritually before Him. Christianity is being assaulted today because no one wants to know that they are sinners who are in need of a Savior, and that there is only one Savior, Jesus.

They’d much rather blindly live under Satan’s delusion that somehow they have become “gods” themselves. I was more than likely that same way for a long time myself, except that I never thought of myself as being above God. It didn’t take 36 years to exit a lifestyle choice - even though I had begun fighting against it in my own power for so long - for nothing. It’s simple, I believed the devil’s lies rather than God's truth.

Rather than make a commitment to God some would much rather remain under the cloud of the same demonic delusions I was held captive by. As I stated I am of the opinion that many choose to rather think of themselves as their own “gods” so that thereby they think that they can choose for themselves what is “good” and what is “evil”. And what is sinful and what is not.

Yahweh God and God alone is the only One who truly is able to do this for He and He alone is righteous, Holy, and Pure with no shadow of turning or dissimulation. God is always the same, yesterday today and forever. God doesn’t change who He is, ever. God is immutable. (unchanging)

“Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.” {James 1:16-17 }

Nor will God ever lie to you so that you can know that you can trust with complete assurity that every word written in His Holy Bible is true. The Word of God is GOD BREATHED. God does not lie. Nor can He for that would be against His own Holiness…all else may fail but God remains true.

“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?" {Numbers 23:19}

"Also the Glory of Israel will not lie or change His mind; for He is not a man that He should change His mind.” {1 Samuel 15:29}

"in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised long ages ago, (before times eternal)."{Titus 1:2 }

"So that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us." {Hebrews 6:18}

"for though the twins were not yet born and had not done anything good or bad, so that God’s purpose according to His choice would stand, not because of works but because of Him who calls."{Romans 9:11 }

Look at the history of mankind….we have always failed miserably …for without God we cannot succeed at anything that will lastingly survive or eternally matter. Everything we think or do, every choice we make or action we take, carries with them into eternity their end fruits.

A people who wish to make up their own set of rules and or regulations to live by are signing up to live under more tyranny and misery than the previous generations that have went on before us.

I’ve heard people make such remarks as “why should we live under those ancient laws?” The answer to that question is that you and I can NOT perfectly obey the 10 Commandments of God, which by the way therein contains 632 laws of behavior under which the Ten are the Head of. Only Christ obeyed them all and lived perfectly as a human being without sin before God. He did that for you and for me. For the entire human race, past present and future.

However, I would like to say that without The Ten Commandments which God gave us to use as a moral compass by which we are to live by? There would be complete anarchy through-out this world. If you’ll notice you can see it happening here and now, and throughout the God rejecting world. Rather I should say the Jesus rejecting world here and abroad for at the name of Jesus many take offense.

Without accepting the undeserved Gift of God through His Son, our souls will spend an eternity regretting the God given free-will choice that we made when we decided to “put it off for another day when we might feel “ready”. Today is the day of Salvation Jesus says, for tomorrow is not promised to either one of us.

"And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain— for He says, “At the acceptable time I listened to you, And on the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is “the acceptable time,” behold, now is “the day of salvation." {2 Corinthians 6:1-2}

Jesus is the Father’s most Awesome free Gift to mankind, without Whom we shall forever suffer in the anguish and pain our sins have purchased for us, unbeknownst to us at the time. I will say again and again because of this love that Jesus has placed in my heart for every single one of you? I warn you, in that love and without apologies, that should we die without accepting the forgiveness and redemption through that Perfect and sinless blood of Jesus poured out for all mankind who receives the Truth, we are indeed hell bound. Forever separated from the Presence of the One and the Only Living God.

Did you ever wonder exactly why God wrote the Ten Commandments in the first place, since, being God He already knew that you and I would never be able to obey them? Scripture again gives us the answer:

"What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.” {Romans 7:7}

I think that the Israelites must have been even more hardheaded than I myself often am. Well, most times am. I used to say to myself sometimes that surely if God had done the miraculous things that He did for them in my behalf right there in front of me I would have obeyed Him completely! OR would I?

Still you’ve got to admit it must have been an amazing thing to walk through the Red Sea while the walls of sea water on either side stood at attention! Can you imagine it? Today deep sea researchers hunting for Biblical evidence for this story from the Bible, and more, have found on the bottom of that very Red Sea chariot wheels like in the days of the Pharaoh of Egypt. They are there alright, encrusted with sea things, but nonetheless you can clearly see in vivid detail the wheels of those chariots!
