The Rapture has Ruptured

But Judgement Day is Still On!

The expected rapture of believers for Saturday May 21, 2011 on or about 6:41 PM did not come off as expected. No one disappeared, leaving behind a pile of clothes. Many disappointed believers slunk off to home after the non event. However, there were plenty of jokers that launched helium filled blow up dolls in a mock rapture. Many of these floated up to the sky naked as Christians expected to do, to meet Jesus in the clouds. The Christians were left behind. No one was sent back either, except for those blow up dolls that were tethered to light fish line in order to reel them back in and protect the environment.

Meanwhile, the judgement is on in multiple ways; the most telling of which is the massive eruption of an Icelandic volcano on the very same day of the expected rapture, grounding all local flights and threatening the rest around the world by Tuesday May 24th, 2011. The ash cloud has shot some 12 mile up into the stratosphere to be carried off by the jet stream. Very few people will thus actually be in the air by any means by that time. This is a repeat scenario of 2010 when another Icelandic volcano shut down virtually all air traffic for weeks on end, costing airlines hundreds of billions in lost revenue and stranding millions. Aside from the volcano, judgement is now being executed in N. Africa and the Middle East as a watershed of economic events grounded in the fall of 2008. World crops are failing, rising oil prices and collapsing economies are lining up like pigeons on an overhead wire to enact a collective judgement for the way things have been run for profit instead of human need.

Rapture is not as Biblical as we are led to believe by fundamentalists and evangelicals, which are now called fundavengelists as a combo name being virtually indistinguishable from each other. The concept was invented and popularized in the mid 19th century based on a few Biblical references initially. The verses referred to often out of context actually mean something else than a physical teleportation “a la” Star Trek to the heavens by a supernatural agency. For the record, the verses cited are the following, which you want to examine for yourself. We recommend the Greek interlinear translation that gives a more accurate view than modern translations such as the “Good News Gospel” version of the New Testament. The verses are; Matthew 24:30-36, 40-41 , John 14:1-3, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Philippians 3:20-21 and 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12.

The word "Rapture" first emerged in the US about the end of the 19th century via the teachings on pre-millennialism and dipensationalism by John Nelson Darby. He was an Irish evangelist who developed the concept of rapture based on his interpretation of some of the foregoing verses. The rapture theory continued to grow in favor among evangelical movement. A preacher named William Eugene Blackstone who lived between 1841 to 1935 fanned the idea into what it was to develop during the 60's and 70's in the Evangelical youth Jesus movement of that era. The book, Jesus is Coming , sold more than one million copies and is responsible for the popularity of the concept that was not even mentioned prior to the late 19th century. Since then, there has been no lack of end of the world opportunities. Along with the end of the world announcements, there were very real events that were missed altogether, the prime example being the Cuban Missile Crisis that culminated in the climax on Oct. 28Th, 1962. In fact, it may have been this event that got the Evangelical youth Jesus movement kicked into high gear.

Well, the very latest rapture date of May 21st, 2011 at 6:41 PM came and went without the “rapture of the saints”, time zone after time zone, but there was a judgement at that time with the “worst volcanic eruption in a century” according to the CTV news of May 22nd commenting on the most recent Icelandic volcanic explosion that commenced on the 21st. The judgement based on a similar event that took place in Aug. 27Th, 1883 when Krakatoa blew up killing a quarter million with a massive tsunami and created cold summers for several years is this: The already troubled crops in the world have been put to an additional challenge. That challenge is volcanic dust that will spread around the world creating spectacular sun sets blocking sunlight and cooler weather as a result. In regions already plagued with abnormally cool weather, this means no summer! No summer means no crops and a dangerous prognosis in the fall when there will be no harvest. The civil unrest going on today will pale into insignificance with the onset of fall and very little food to go around. The food riots of a couple years ago will seem like a walk in the park by comparison. This then is the judgement due to our failure to come to terms with nature and one another. Believers will suffer the tribulation along with non believers, atheists and Satanists. When nature acts, one's beliefs become irrelevant. The Bible verse where we learn that God causes the rain to fall on the just and unjust alike and that God is no respecter of persons fully apply.

This is the basic idea whipped up into a frenzy

But, this is not the end of the rapture by any means. There are plans according to some, of a staged rapture that will scare the be-Jesus out of most people who believe in the rapture and suddenly find themselves left behind despite being a born again believer. That project has been dubbed “Project Bluebeam” and is allegedly a plan to project a live streaming video full colour HD transmission hologram with a wide field of view complete with a laser like sound system that will look like Jesus returning in the clouds and people rising from the ground to meet up with him. We cannot say with any certainty whatsoever if there is a shred of truth in this, but the mere mention of this has got a lot of spin going on this supposed staging of a supernatural event to inspire fear and cause compliance and a massive return to the church. Coupled with “tribulation” from all angles and an effective PR campaign via the internet and TV, this should result in a huge shake up joking release of helium filled blow up dolls notwithstanding during rapture parties.

Were it not for reliable sources, this whole thing would appear to be straight out of a 50's B black and white sci-fi movie.

And then there are visions seen in the sky

One of the Judgements, also on May 21st!

Why is rapture not found in the Bible? And what scriture do they refer to concerning it?

The scriptures supposedly referring to the rapture are listed in the article. This is a recent compilation as there were only two early "hard case" references to being taken up into the clouds to join Jesus. But there is a reference that is a key one concerning the celestial Christ and the Earthly Christ, which are two different things. Check the following and perhaps the whole rapture business will become a litter clearer.

“There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, "The first man Adam became a living being." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit...The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven..” 1 Corinthians 15:40-45,47 NKJV; John 3:31; Romans 1:3,4; 9:5; 1 John 5:5-8; 2 Corinthians 11:3,4; Galatians 1:6,7

NO PEOPLE WILL ESCAPE THE JUDGEMENT BY BEING RAPTURED WHY DON'T YOU LOOK FOR THE MANIFESTATIONS OF THE SON'S OF GOD. ROMANS 8: 14 -26 TAKES DISCIPLINED PERSON'S ABOUT BEING CHANGED WITHOUT THIS YOU CAN FORGET ABOUT BEING RAPTURED. BECAUSE WITHOUT BEING A DISCIPLINED DISCIPLE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, YOU WILL NOT BE GOING IN ANY RAPTURE. TO HIM THAT OVERCOMES I WILL GRANT TO SIT WITH ME ON MY THRONE? ISN'T THIS WHAT JESUS SAID? OVERCOMING SHOULD BE THE PRIORITY HERE NOT LOOKING TO ESCAPE LIKE A COWARD.

Writing in all caps is considered shouting in written form. Though I understand that you believe deeply in your heart, what I am proposing here is that there are many doom sayers who rant about the end of the world. The end of the world has come and gone without incident more times than I can count. You know; we have been lied to so often, it is hard to know who is telling the truth, esoterically since all the liars swear they are telling the truth.

As it stands right now; we are all facing a judgement so severe that I dare not tell it all here for fear of driving many mad. The Bible even tells us that mens hearts will fail them for fear of the things that are coming upon the earth. Take an objective look and see everything that is unfolding all at once. Does this not say it all. Check out my hub on God's Shock Doctrine.

I was shouting? But you did not hear me! He whom has a hear to hear let him hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying. All creation groans for the manifestations of the Son's of God. But people groan in the flesh for the rapture to be taken out of the wrath to come, and tribulation and the armageton. However what the body of Christ don't realize is that the battle of Armageton and the tribulation is nothing to fear if we have a manifestation of God in us.This should be our focus point not looking to be escaped and raptured out of here? When you look at where this rapture doctrines come from then there is no real foundations for the rapture doctrine. It is the great deceptions the Jesus spoken about? Well bro' if you believe that without trial od Spirits then you shall be deceived also. www.divineconnexionsofchrist.com

The argument for rapture came out of the 18th century by way of Darcy. Prior to that, there was no concept of the rapture theory as we see it today. Most people want to escape, for sure. Who wants to endure the agonies of hell. Take a hard, hard look around you. If you have the stomach enough for the truth of human experience and manifestation then you will see wars of such horror it will drive you to rebellion. You will see abuses of every conceivable and inconceivable type that will make you vomit. Nature lies in ruins due to greed and all; innocent and guilty alike are about to suffer horrendously. We have to get out of the cargo cult mentality, roll up our sleeves and grab the bull by the horns. In other words, it is upon us to get a bloody horrible grip on ourselves and correct our ways right now! Even Jesus can't force this as God gave humanity free will and Jesus will not violate God's directive. So bud, it is upon us to willingly change and I'm not seeing that in the business (of war) as usual. We are the makers of Armageddon! We will be suffering the consequences of our own stupidity, greed and arrogance. As it was in the days of Noah, where violence was upon the face of the Earth and people did evil continually, so it will be in the end of days.

Reverend Brian Richards.a.i.p.c.(M.A.C.A.) 5 years ago

Well yes we can see that o.k. So you say the concept of rapture then would be escape from the hell on earth!! This is what you are saying? O.K. but there is a real place hell and heaven are real places.

But you can have heaven or earth in your life right now!! its all a matter of a different perspective? This is why Jesus said pray, Our Father who art in heaven, hellowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done! on earth as it is in heaven!

FINISH UP BY SAY DELIVER FROM ALL EVIL.

many are the afflicions of the man of Chist, but we will not be taken out of the world! John.17: 22 Jesus said I pray you not take them out of the world but protect them from the evil one that is in the world.

It is a wonderful thought of rapture but its just not scriptual.......yes its and old doctrine, but it was wrong then! and it is still wrong today. We are called to preach the good news, not some silly none scripture doctrin and giving people faulce beliefs. We have the power to overcome every evil if we life correctly. Be honest with yourself, do you have a rhema word from God to preach this doctrines,or are you saying it because of someone else teaching you this? We should only preach the epenosis, the rhema, the God revealed knowledge. If you are a true Brother in the Lord you will know this to be true?(Aside from the times of Noah's flood, man,as a whole, has been able to continue the normal cycles of life, choosing to life their own rebelious way, generation after generation. That time has come to the end said the Spirit of the Lord, this is the end of man self rule on the earth. It is now time for God's rule to begin, and no one with escape it.This is the time said the Lord that I am talking to the remnant Church, the church that has not fallen into the doctrines of flesh. There is only a small percentage of human life will continue on into this new era that will begin after my return of Jesus Christ as King of Kings over all the earth.Behold this is the time said the Lord, that behold i am blowing the Last trumpet to the remnant Church. I have called people to blow this Last trumpet, and the message that goes with it,the eagles set up by the power of rebelious men are falling now. These powers will never be restored as they were never my powers said the Lord. The greatest financial power over the earth USA, is being destroyed before your face, and will not be restored. No one will escape my judgement said the Lord, some of hour and some of dishonour. Then we will all see the manifestation of the son's of God and the Son of God. Well as a spokesman of the Lord, and His end time Prophet, i have fulfilled my responsibility in the comments. What you do with this is up to you, however it will soon be revealed whom has spoken to you to-day.

No where have I stated that I believe or support the rapture theory. I wrote this piece because someone not only got it wrong and then went on to say that it's been rescheduled to Oct. 23rd of this year.A lot of people paid money to this liar and he's not giving up; it's too lucrative! I agree with you, rapture cannot be supported from the Bible beyond a quote from Paul in one of the letters to the Greek churches. A lot of verses are used out of context to support the hypothesis, but in the end, it is only a man's idea.

No man at any time has seen God. God is beyond mere human comprehension and perception. This fact is borne out daily. We fill out heads with silly ideas about what God is. Take a look around the world of comparative religion and you will see how diverse this is. Some will say "Doctrines of daemons", but that is said by each against the rest and each claims to be the single holder of truth. At last count, there were 300,000 sects of Christianity. As Islam is newer, there are not quite as many sects of that. It is easy to stand up with the belief that one has the absolute truth, but we are commanded to test the spirits, to see if they are from the divine. I am certain of this, and this can be testified from the book of Job, We will all be tested. God is looking for a few spiritual warriors and is not looking for a whole field of pussy willows. Now Job was tested by God who allowed Satan to torment him in all ways, and Job made the grade of spiritual warrior. Those who claim to believe in Christ, also a spiritual warrior, can they expect less? I think not! Having addressed the fact of spiritual warriorship, what is it that we are fighting? The message is plain throughout the Bible; and this is, our responsibility for one another and the earth that God created. The message is plain from the get-go. We are our brother's keeper and we have to seek the kingdom of heaven within as Jesus said. Id will not come by looking and waiting. It must come from us and Jesus set the example for us to follow.

A good hub. I agree that the rapture is a false teaching. The references used in the bible can be interputed many ways. The resurrection from the dead will occur by people being raised physically from the dead. lifted out of their graves or brought forth from the sea's. Perfected bodies'not zombies.

I don't agree with your statement that No man at any time has seen God. Abraham, Moses, many old testament prophets have seen God.

While being stoned Stephen saw the Son standing by the side of the Father.

Also Joseph Smith saw the Father and the Son in the Sacred Grove.

Anyway I agree with your hub.

The totality of God is greater than the sum of the entire cosmos in extent and time. From the human perspective, any time we attempt a definition, we lose the reality. When a person claims to see God, they see but a filtered version so that they can take the vision. Consider for a moment that we see only a minute part of the electromagnetic spectrum. When in fact we view God, it must be in spirit as physical constraints are too limiting. Though there are instances in the Bible of people seeing Christ transfigured, such as the apostles and Paul, this was a vision allowed for the people and that was overwhelming enough. For one thing, it struck Paul blind until his miraculous healing.

Yes after reading all this the reader will know the truth and this truth will set a lot of people free! We should be ready for anything and have our hearts clean and full of faith. We purify our hearts by believing in the return of Jesus Christ coming back in the clouds 1 John 3:1
