The Rising Antichrist

It is a known fact that all three major religions of this world teaches there is a deity that opposes their god. It is true. Judaism call this diety ἄνομος or anomos, hebrew for the lawless one. Islam call this diety the evil Dijal. Christians call this diety, the Antichrist. All of these religions can attest that this diety is considered to be the lawless one, evil, wicked, transgressor, unlawful, and without law. We can gather that the Antichrist is the opposition to the Christ. His main objective is to turn man against God. Before we can go any further, we have to study how the Antichrist originated.

Lucifer was his name. He was the angel of light. Nebuchadnezzar called him by this name

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

From this scripture we can clearly see that Lucifer was the Son of the Morning. When I looked at this scripture, my first thought was Christians view Jesus as the "Bright and Morning Star." How is this possible that Lucifer and Jesus share the same title? My answer was quite clear. Lucifer from the beginning tried to mimick Jesus Christ. This is why he is the Anti-Christ. Let us take a look at how closely Lucifer attempted to duplicate Jesus Christ.

I've done a study on Lucifer's characteristics and in the midst, there were three people I'd like to mention. All three of these were disciples of Apostle John the Revelator. I don't have time to go into the whos, whats, whens, and hows. I'll just list the names and you can research them for yourself. Polycarp was the direct disciple of Apostle John and his disciple was Irenaeus and Irenaeus discipled Hippolytus. Polycarp not only was instructed by the Apostles, he also had many conversations with those who had seen Christ. He was appointed Bishop of the church of Smyrna by apostles in Asia. With this being said, he had true apostolic teachings second hand. They all concluded these attributes of Lucifer.

A- Satan will appear as a man in the person of the antichrist because he seeks to reign over mankind and desires to focus on worship of God on himself.

B- The antichrist will be a Jew, and will achieve his stated objectives, by being accepted as The Christ, The Messianic King of the Jews, taking his seat in Jerusalem, pretending to be God himself, and thereby becomming the "abomination of desolation" spoken by the prophet Daniel and mentioned also by Jesus. 11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Daniel 12:11  

Matt 24:15 (KJV) When ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place (whosoever readeth, let him understand).

C- The antichrist is the little horn of the fourth beast mentioned in Daniel 7. He will slay the other three horns and reign as an eighth with the remaining seven.

D- The antichrist will achieve his objectives in the middle of the final seven year period of this age. At that time, he will proclaim the Messianic King of the Jews and will take his seat in the rebuilt temple of Jerusalem. He will reign for three and one half years.

E- The antichrist during his reign, will decieve the majority of people living on earth at the time into believing he is God. However, he will persecute those who refuse to worship him because they are able to see through his delusion.

F- Jesus Christ will return to earth at the end of the three and one half year reign of the antichrist, destroying satan's kingdom. The ressurection of the saints will occure at that time.

I sat and pondered on these attributes and on the fact that Lucifer is the lawless one and this scripture came to mind.

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come , except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let , until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9 Even him , whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thess 2:2-12


We can clearly see that this is how he attempts to mimick Jesus Christ. But Thessalonians teaches us not to be deceived. Lucifer's main objective was to exhult himself higher than God from the beginning. This is how Lucifer could be deemed the "angel of light ." Also, Isaiah mentioned Lucifer as being cut down to the ground and in truth, he was. Remember he was the same serpent that deceived Eve in the garden.

1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. 8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.

Another interesting point, I'd like to make is Lucifer was indeed beautiful to look upon. Ezekiel describes in detail how he looked before he was cast out of heaven. It also confirms that Lucifer has been here since the very beginning. This also ties into Lucifer being the Son of the morning and how he will deceive and corrupt many. Even in this text, God confirms Lucifer's punishment.

13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so : thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. 16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. 17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. 18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. 19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

Lucifer A-K-A Satan A-K-A the Devil A-K-A the Beast A-K-A THE ANTICHRIST

Now that we've covered who the antichrist was since the beginning, and his purpose here on earth now, we will explore his other names. Per my research I've found thirty three names including the ones listed in my subheader.

Abaddon - Revelation 9:11

"And they had a king over them, [which is] the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue [is] Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath [his] name Apollyon."

Accuser of the brethren - Revelation 12:10

"And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. "

Adversary (one who stands against) - 1Peter 5:8

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: "

Angel of the bottomless pit - Revelation 9:11

"And they had a king over them, [which is] the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue [is] Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath [his] name Apollyon."

Angel of light - 2Corinthians 11:14

"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. "

Antichrist - 1John 4:3

"And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. "

Apollyon - (Greek Απολλύων, or Destroyer) - Revelation 9:11

"And they had a king over them, [which is] the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue [is] Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath [his] name Apollyon."

Beelzebub - Matthew12:24; Mark3:22; Luke 11:15

"But when the Pharisees heard [it], they said, This [fellow] doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. " (Matthew12:24)

"And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils. " (Mark 3:22)

"The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. "

Evil spirit - 1Samuel 16:14

"But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him. "

Father (father) of all liars - John 8:44

"Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. "

God (god) of this world - 2Corinthians 4:4

"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. "

Great red dragon - Revelation 12:3

"And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. "

Lucifer - Isaiah 14:12

Murderer - John 8:44

"Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."

Old serpent - Revelation 12:9, 20:2

"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. " (Revelation 12:9)

"And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, " (Revelation 20:2)

Power of darkness - Colossians 1:13

"Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated [us] into the kingdom of his dear Son: "

Power of death - Hebrews 2:14

"Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; "

Prince of this world - John 12:31, 14:30, 16:11

"Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out." (John 12:31)

"Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. " (John 14:30)

Ruler of darkness - Ephesians 6:12

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. "

Satan - 1Chronicles 21:1; Job 1:6; John 13:27; Acts 5:3, 26:18; Romans 16:20; Revelation 20:2

"And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel. " (1Chronicles 21:1)

"And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. " (Matthew 4:3)

Thief - John 10:10

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly. "

Wicked one - Matthew 13:19, 38

"When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth [it] not, then cometh the wicked [one], and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. . . . The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked [one]; "
