The Runes: Raido
General meaning
The R Rune, Raido is motion it is riding a horse or in a cart. As such it represents change. However this is always a rhythmic, orderly change or motion.
Raido in divination
The Raido Rune on its side visually resembles a cart . In many mythologies the Sun is driven through the sky in a cart. As such the motion of Raido is patterned, not random. It represents the inherent order in creation: a divine order. There is no randomness to Raido's motion: it is patterned and predictable.
Raido can indicate a need for ritual in our connection with divinity or in order to achieve our goals. The orderly nature of Raido, can indicate an organization, legal assemblies, negotiations, any change or path that can bring order out of chaos.
In Divination it symbolizes orderly movement. It is not random motion but a purposeful journey, it indicates we are on the right path. It can represent a spiritual awakening.
Motion with Raido is measured, responsible and rhythmic. When we see Raido, in a positive aspect, in answer to our query, we can mostly be sure that we are on the right path. If we are uncertain as to which path to take Raido can tell us that we need to take an orderly measured path to our goal. We may need to pace ourselves, negotiate or work together with another party. It can mean we need to pace ourselves instead of charging in. We must plan and proceed towards our goal in a step by step manner.
Riding is considerably less taxing physically than walking is but it takes concentration and control. As such the Raido Rune in divination can indicate that the path can be getting easier but that we must be mindful of our direction and keep control.
Raido Magick
Considering the orderly nature of Raido we can use this Rune to impose order upon our path. Inscribed upon a Magickal tool it can help to focus the energy the tool uses.
Inscribed on or carried in a vehicle, or on our person, it helps keep us from getting lost or from going off the road. Literally or figuratively.
Raido can assist us in imposing order and maintaining the right direction in legal, financial, and most mundane matters. In spiritual an emotional matters it can keep us in the right frame of mind and on the right path.
