The Shepherd to His Flock...A Tribute, by Whonunuwho

To the teacher that gives their best,

despite the names called, little rest,

the shepherd turns and nods his head,

as likened wounds, each has bled,

Well done, my good and faithful servants, well done.

To the nurse who's given their all,

despite long hours and shortened call,

the shepherd bends and kneels before,

displays his love and gifts to pour.

Well done, my good and faithful servants, well done.

To the policeman that gives his life,

so that others may escape such strife.

The shepherd takes him in his arms,

now shielding him forever from harms.

Well done, my good and faithful servants, well done.

To the workers and farmers of fields,

despite the pestilence, nor food it yields,

the shepherd's hands then till the soil,

as faithful ones are freed from toils.

Well done, my good and faithful servants, well done.

Before his flock, the shepherd waits,

he opens the lock, and unhinges the gaits.

For heaven's rewards are great and rare,

so given to all, in his love and care.

The father lifts his precious hands, and then he proclaims to all, across the lands,

Well done, my good and faithful servants, well done.

This work is dedicated to all who work to keep us going in this world, and my granddad Elijah David, a pastor for more than sixty years in the service of his Lord.

I'm confused about this. This was written in all respect to our Lord and not meant to be in any roast or humor category.I don't know how this happened.whonu

This was chosen as under literature and the last part was included without my knowledge.

Oh good! I was so confused! It looks like there were extra added topics, which one could not do oneself, but as if they were added someone or manipulated by someone, as one not do such to have so many strange topics on one hub. If it happens again, you may want to report it to HP? I don't know? Just really strange. I am relieved though : )

God bless, Faith Reaper

I believe it was one of those topics that I could not fine appropriate coverage for. Hub Pages needs to improve this and not allow for such mixed messages. whonu

WE need to have subjects that are not compromised by added titles.

I wrote this tribute while I was in the hospital having major abdominal surgery. I felt it needed and as a last tribute, in case I did not recover from my serious surgery. I did recover and praise be to the Lord. It is dedicated to faithful servants and those who give of themselves for others in this world.whonu
