The Stages Of ME
The Stages Of ME
Why did I start to Hub? Well, my journey began after completing a simple inspirational book called the stages of ME, writing altogether was a new venture for me. I prayed long and hard about sharing not wanting the focus on myself, but rather my faith story. I didn't want to be egocentric in any way, although the title may seem a bit misleading to that end. The goal of writing, in general, is to share a message and this is what I hoped to do with all my writing, I hoped to share the journey of my life experiences with the focus on faith.
I have always heard that when you write, you should write about what you know. Using life experiences, I jotted down my faith journey. After my book ministry began, I enjoyed the connection with others. I really enjoyed, sharing their stories, and mine along the way, hence the reason for my hub writing. I wanted to continue to grow as a person and a writer always remaining open to new viewpoints. This connection with fellow Hub writers, around the world, afforded a great venue to share with other writers. More importantly, it provides encouragement and constructive criticism while meeting some really amazing people.
I struggled with the idea of this work, was I doing it for the right reasons? Would it be self-serving? If it was I wanted nothing to do with it. I considered letting it go into the abyss of thought. I was becoming confused as to whether I was following the plan of God or was this distraction from my personal faith journey. Then, some dear friends directed me to some Bible verses. Specifically these verses, 2 Corinthians 3:1-5.
When I read them I felt a whisper from the Holy Spirit. I immediately knew if my story could help one person it would be the ministry for Christ that I hoped for.
We are a letter to be read by everyone for the ministry of Christ. If we believe in Him as our loving sacrifice and savior, then our hearts are hopefully shining for HIM. When we allow it and step away from our own purpose, God will use things for His good. It has been a few years since my little book was released and I have to say, "It has been a ministry." I am very aware that we all have a story or a letter, if you will, to be read by everyone. I shared mine hoping to learn about others and their journey's with Christ.
It has been a blessing to meet a new people seeking God or trying to re-focus on Him. This is what my hub The Stages Of ME is about. It has brought me to so many hurting, it has brought me to so much stronger than myself, It has brought me to a place where I feel God continues polishing me through His word and through others and for this I am truly grateful.
Hub Pages allows me a continued ministry, as well as support on the life journey. It's a blessing to connect with other writers. I have interacted with people from all around the world. That is pretty cool, keyboard to keyboard connecting through ideas!

It Only Takes A Spark
We have only one voice in a very big world. We have but one set of ears to listen to the cries of so many. We have one set of eyes to see the good and also see the sad destruction of our humanity.
We are blessed when we have FAITH in the storms of life, and yet we realize we live in the flesh. How we wish our flesh would not control our thoughts or feelings for even one minute. How we wish complete surrender to God our loving Father knowing we could rest in the peace that would then dwell inside of us, yet we know a war is raging, a spiritual battle that attempts to root us in this world.
How we wish the hurdles would no longer present themselves, sadly that is not possible here in this earthly world. We must accept our trials and learn to do so with GRACE. Knowing we are forgiven, we walk in faith and in the example of Jesus Christ our Savior, but again our flesh is the limit to complete peace. Every day we fight against the rule of sin that is part of this earthly body. Sin presents itself in so many simple ways, in a harsh word, impatience, frustration, so many things we are in our imperfection. So, my friends, we will wait here patiently for God's perfect plan to unwind.
We challenge our humanity, do not judge one another, but rather reach out and link arms to be a force of strength in God's promises. His example of the CROSS was so amazing. Stop comparing your differences. Stop hurting others believing it's without consequence. Stop being comfortable with your circle and reach for others who do not know the solace of a life walking in FAITH. Gently welcome others to your understanding. Listen for the guidance of the Holy Spirit in your life. Maybe then we can all live with the awareness that God is watching and ever present. He shows us what to do in His Word. Maybe we could read it again, we need to remain in His word.
"In God We Trusted, One Nation Under God." Close your eyes for just a moment and imagine a world of only love and kindness. Now open ~ that is what heaven will be like ~ I want us all to be there! We can step it up, I know we can. It only takes a spark ~ Peace out ~

We are all rough around the edges and pieces may break off, that doesn't mean that we're to be discarded and not polished. It just means we're not a perfect stone and that is okay.
