The world would have been better if there are Christians on earth

May be the world would have been better if there are Christians on earth.

There are many questions that need answers because it seems we cannot always find globally acceptable answers to all questions. A friend published a hub on demons possession of people and how it can be cast out by prayers. He said, he witnessed such deliverance in which a demon was cast out of a boy. Luckily enough I came across the hub when I already had it in mind to write this hub because of what is written in the bible about such things.

Some people think I am a non-conformist because I ask questions and say things the way I think it should be even when it is not expected to ask questions. For instance someone recently commented on my hub and said that it seems I want to discredit the bible. That goes to confirm that some people do not expected humanity to question what they do not understand or what they disagree. They want everyone to follow them and be led like fools that cannot reason for themselves or what?

Just like I told the man that claimed to be a Christian, I question those doctrines that claim that any religion or religious sect is superior to the other. This is because I know that differences exist and the earlier we break such barriers the easier we can co-exist in peace and unity. I also told the man that Christians have already discredited their bible by their diversity and doctrines as each sect want are a few, if any, Christians left on earth and even those that are true Christian may not be known as Christians. They may be known by others names but how do we know the Christians even if the go by any other name?

Mark 16:16-18 “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

The above statement was what Jesus told his followers but we know that such signs are relatively few even those that can perform some of the signs are called false prophets that came to deceive people. This is because some Christians claim that the days of miracles are over while some do not even believe in miracles. These are usually those Christians that cannot perform any miracle. Funnily enough even those Christians that believe in miracles do not show these signs. The command was that the sign will follow “those who believe.” It did not say some of them. However, it will not be a surprise to hear reasons why such signs are no longer possible. This is because we always find reasons to justify our stand.

The hub by a friend prove that some Christians can, at least, still cast out demons but we know that not all Christians buy that and some Christians do not even believe in demons or ghosts.

It is said that Christianity has the largest followers (millions of people claim to be Christians) but the world would have been better if there are these many Christians that show the signs Jesus mentioned. Unfortunately, it is those in the various mystic groups that claim to posses these powers. Why not since many things were lost and the truth hidden from the crowd and now men no longer know the real truth. Men may never know the real Christians who were promise the mysteries of the kingdom of God.

Most religious men of this generation are men of hate speeches, killing, judgmental, condemnation, and much talking so how can they be linked to the sources of all powers or even believe it exist.

Paul said, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." in James 1:27

Nowhere in the bible does it suggest that religion, as practice in modern times, is the key to salvation of any kind. In fact, Jesus spent most of His ministry preaching out against organized religion. Jesus wasn't religious, He was a reformer; promoting a movement of the human heart. The word religion means "habit." One can do anything "religiously". I mean, drug addicts shoot dope religiously. It is meaningless to God. The bible does not suggest that Christianity is supreme to other religions. It suggests that all religions are pointless and the only way to salvation is to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior and recieve forgiveness, which is free, through His sacrifice. After that, the development of the follower is dependent upon the amount of faith that follower puts in God. If Christians want to learn how to be righteous people, the answers are in the Word. It is noteworthy to state that you cannot find the word "Christian" anywhere in the bible and Christianity is, by all records, an Eastern Religion. Jesus said, "The Kingdom of Heaven is in you and all around you." He chastised the Pharisees for their organized religious practice and said, "My father no longer dwells in your temple." He taught that the temple of God was the human being. Religion is a system of habitual practices that produce tangible results. When people claim that "no religion is supreme" they are correct because no religion is relevant. When they claim that "Christianity believes it is supreme to all religions" they are not even on the same playing field with true Christians. They are inadvertantly referring to the Catholic Church, Protestant Church, Apostolic Reformatist Churches, and other "religious organizations." So I agree with your underlying message but disagree with some of your main points. Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the light and no man comes to the Father but by me." He made no claims that resemble "My religion is the only way to achieve self-improvement, peace on earth, understanding, good health, wealth, and happiness." Any "Christian" who believes so should stop listening to whichever preacher they are listening to and read for themselves. God speaks to each and every one of us through His word. All we have to do is read it.

People understand his word, the bible, differently and that is still a problem.

David Ramses 4 years ago

There are a few different interpretations. However, the majority of the "many" different interpretations you speak of reveal that the "interpreter" has never even read it.

1st like I mentioned in one of my hubs, I don't agree Jesus is the only way to salvation. Your comment means others except Christians are saved, which I consider wrong. You said religion does not matter and I agree so if you are right, what matters? I never believed any religion can lead to the said heaven, if I do I would support such religion but I teach tolerance because religion is a matter of acceptance. What matters to me is our heart and how we live and treat others so a good religion can help in it.

About the different understanding of the bible, you can use the many sects to understand how much it has been differently understood except if doctrines and pratices does not matter. Then again, if only accepting Jesus is all that matters without living a good life what does it mean? and whats the different of living a good live without accepting Jesus? Is Jesus that selfish that his name and not how good one lives that matters? Well, I came to bring justice to mankind. "No judgment without justice."

David Kaluge,

As always, I appreciate your response and your "tolerance". I will try to respond appropriately and answer your questions directly. First of all, I already know you don't believe Jesus is the only way to salvation. This is the precise reason I continue to comment on your interesting hubs and comments. What quality does Jesus have that no other prophets, revered individuals, martyrs, or figures from other religions have? The answer is, Jesus is the Son of God. For those who believe this (I am not talking about religion), His word is final and ultimate. He warned us that many would not believe and that, though they would hear His gospel, they would turn away and rebel from the idea of it. All who come to Him are saved. It is ok with me that you do not agree. Religion does not matter, what God seeks is a personal relationship through His Son, Jesus Christ, so He can pour His blessings and love upon us all. Jesus spent His entire ministry speaking out against religion. Orthodox religion sentenced Him to death for it. Religion is Politics. Spirituality is personal and very real. "Good religion" is always exclusive. All who come to Christ are welcome by Him, but not all will be welcomed in certain Christian churches because of personal preferences, judgments, and prejudices. Religion is politics. Regarding your "different understandings" of the bible. The thing is, many of them reveal that they have omitted certain parts of the bible in favor of others that support their viewpoints. With the Bible, you either believe all of it or none of it. Once the entire Bible has been studied it becomes clear that the Message from God is specific, clear, and true. All the prophecies regarding past events have already come true, to the T. The one thing that stands out the most is this verse, "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life and no man comes to the Father but by me." Jesus warns that there are other religions. He claims that the gods of all of them are actually Satan using his best trick: deception, to lead people away from Christ. He warns about paganism, witchcraft, worshippers of goddesses, and humanists who put the focus on indivudual improvement. Another verse in proverbs sums it all up: "There is a way that seems right to a man, but it is the road to destruction." Accepting Jesus is not all that matters. This is a common misunderstanding. Many people believe that once they accept Christ, they are saved and can live an evil, corrupt life with no consequence. The problem is, most people think repentance brings the grace of salvation through belief. But in all actuality, it is the other way around. A person recieves Jesus Christ through prayer and acceptance. Their faith brings Grace. Grace causes them to want to live a Godly life filled with as much righteousness as possible. If a person does not outwardly show the effects of Grace, there has been no inward change. Even Lucifer believes in God and Jesus; but he is not born again. He is not washed clean by the blood of Christ who died on the cross as a sacrifice for all of our sins. All of our sins are forgiven if we accept Him as the Son of God who was crucified, resurrected, and ascended and admit we are sinners who need God's Grace to be redeemed. All other religions claim to be able to accomplish this redemption by human effort. You asked if there is a difference between people who live a good life without Christ. I challenge you to find one. According to God, anyone who has ever broken a single one of the Ten Commandments is tainted by sin and doomed to destruction. Jesus took it a step further when He told us that if we think angrily about a person we have committed murder and if we lust on a woman in our mind we have committed adultery. Nobody is perfect, therefore nobody can live a good life. All fall short of the glory of God. This is why Jesus came and lived a perfect life only to be sacrificed for us. When He died on the cross He actually became sin, took the punishment for all of our sins so that God could view us as His Sons and Daughters through Jesus. He was treated like we diserve to be treated so that we can be treated the way He diserves to be treated. It was, in truth, the most "selfless" act ever committed by anyone in history. Anyone who actually reads the bible cannot come away from it with an interpretation about it being harsh, unjust, or inhumane. It is a message of hope, faith, and love. God is love. God does say that if there is a human being who can successfully live from birth to death without a single sin, that person is saved. The problem is that is impossible, nobody except Christ has ever done it. Not the Buddha, not Muhammed, not the witches, nobody. Incidentally, since you have not lived a perfect life either, you do not have the authority to bring "No judgment without justice." God is a just God and He will judge all according to their actions. He doesn't need your help with it and He will do it regardless of your beliefs. But He will forgive you if you accept Christ and be born again into the bosom of righteousness. It would be nice if you did have the ability to bring justice to mankind. Unfortunately, mankind will never experience total justice (according to human standards) because for every one of you who promotes humane justice there are 50 different viewpoints about what justice really is. I can understand your reluctance to believe there is only one way. I was the same. I turned to many different "religious" paths before giving up on it all and following philosophy and self-help gurus. I came to a rock bottom realization that the only thing at the end of those paths is loneliness and uncertainty and fear. When I turned to Christ He showed me the right path and the way to overcome all my afflictions, negative feelings, rebellions, addictions, confusions, and hatreds. Before you continue your crusade for "justice for mankind", which actually seems more like a crusade against Christianity, I encourage you to read the bible word for word and develop an accurate interpretation of it. If you still don't believe, fine. But then, at that point, you should also read, in depth, the scriptures of all the religions you are against; that way you actually know what you are against. Either way, what you will find is that they are all lacking something that is very important to true salvation, the Holy Spirit. When you read the entire message of the bible you will feel this Spirit guiding you toward it. When you go into the other religious writings you will not feel it. You will see that they are all circles of neverending knowledge without answers. Then, if my prayers are heard, you will return to God and accept Christ who loves you enough that He gave His life so that you would have yours, to the fullest potential of righteousness, while on earth; and everlasting life after death. God loves you David Kaluge, and so do I. Good fortune to you in your future endeavors.

Thanks David for your comment. I am sure that your prayer on my behalf will never be heard so stop praying. Let me warn, I do not care what you think or say. This is because you claim that I am against Christians, well fine with your thought but it means you want me to keep silent and let you and others say what you want without being questioned? I am not against Jesus as I respect but I do not worship him and I do not worship man. I worship my God, most high God. I am against what people say to make others feel unsafe and the claim of superiority in an effort or claim to save others. How can you say that Jesus was aware that other religions exist but he knew they worship devil? This is the kind of things I write against and people think I write against Christians but it’s easy to think so because Christians are the one that say such things to insult others. I already wrote a hub to show that Jesus is not the only one that claims to be God or son of God so I don't get. I am not saying don't worship Jesus but I say let others worship whatever they want or don't want to worship. That is the different between us. Did I tell you that Christianity is bad or evil and that you should leave it when I do not even have any one to offer you? That is to show you that I am not against you or others that claim to be Christians. But all I ask is that you respect others. God will not answer your prayer because as Jesus came so did God sent me to do my work but I do not expect you to understand just as people did not understand Jesus and others that came because what they taught sound strange. God is already on my side. You are same person that spoke against the Catholic and what they do wrong. Who are you to judge others? You speak as if you know what you are doing when you only believe and think you know and that does not mean that you know. It simply means that you are in same shoe with others because each religion or sect thinks they know or are right. That is one thing I want you to get and if you do then you learn to respect others and stop using the bible to threaten others, a bible that was written by men. You said Jesus is the son of God while some other Christians do not things so as they claim he is God. There are a lot of things that we should not bother ourselves about because the differences will always be there that is why you have to live and let other live.

Thanks and I trust you have learnt something today, at least know that just as you are certain of your believe so are others that do not agree with yours. Unfortunately, you just like many others will only be happy if your own version of the claim is followed and nothing makes you different from those Muslim that use force or terror against others because same is their desire in the world.

Once again, the mistake we make is that of using a Scripture, in this case the bible, to judge all other people even those that don't believe in it. That is why Christians and you will be a sinner if others judge you by their scriptures but it seems we always fail to understand this because we are certain of our scripture. Jesus didn't claim to be without sin, it is what people claimed. He personally admitted he was not perfect.

Lastly, note that the main point in this hub is that if the millions of Christians we have today do really live by the virtues Jesus taught and if the signs and powers that Jesus promised should follow all of them then this world would be better. Therefore, that is the things you have to think about and comment. Why do we have many people that claim to be Christians yet nothing is happening like it did in the past? Where is the promised signs, healings, and powers that anyone that accepts Christ is to have?

David Ramses 4 years ago

Well if you don't care what I think or say unfollow me and stop responding to my comments. You are wrong to say that a bible verse someone else wrote is me myself judging. It is the bible, I didn't write it I just believe it. But whatever. I said that about other religions because that is what it says Jesus knew in the bible. Bu whatever. If you want to get all upset on here then I really don't want to read your hubs anymore. If you are offended by my beliefs then be offended. God bless you.

Dav?d, I th?nk we started ?n a good way as fr?ends and we are not ?n war so we are not enemies except ?f you see me as one. I am not against your belief if I was then I would ask you to change from ?t but all I ask is that you respect others and stop the idea of judging others based on your scripture because your belief will not pass the test if it should be judged by the scriptures of others. I also ask that you do not pray for your will to be done in my life cause it will never come to be instead pray for God's will to be done in my life and let us see the wish of God and not the wish of man. Thank you, my friend.

David Ramses 4 years ago

I have never considered you to be an enemy. However, if you do not care what I think or say then I do not care what you think or say. You say you are trying to get me to stop doing something. I am not trying to get you to stop doing anything. I am merely exchanging viewpoints and beliefs without expectation. That being said, I have a few things to tell you about my own rights. I will say whatever I want to whoever I want about whatever I want whenever I want and in whatever manner I want. I am an American citizen, a Christian, a soldier, a self-defense instructor, a preacher, a philosopher, a writer, a student, and a computer programmer. I know exactly who I am and what my rights are and nobody, you included, will ever censor anything I say and, while I will try not to offend anyone, if someone is offended I will not recant, reiterate, retreat, nor change my mind.

Well, your qualities and qualifications are well understood and that is you and nobody can stop you from being you but you want to stop me from being me. Why in the hell will you want to pray for me to change my point of view? Did I ask you to change? You can be whatever you want that does not make you superior to anyone on earth. So you express your viewpoint like you said but next time you do it without condemning the belief of others. That is one thing I will not take from anyone. Express you point but do you say others worship devil. Why must you say that and expect me to support you? not even at gun point will I support. I create my own path so I don't need to work on the path made by others. You can only complain when I say you worship the devil like you said of others.

I remember you asked me to unfollow you because you unfollowed me, isn't it?

David Ramses 4 years ago

I never said I was superior to anyone. I respect your viewpoints and insights, I just don't agree with them. Here is why I don't agree with them: I believe the bible is the sole source of truth for Christianity. As a Christian, I am inclined to believe what the bible says. Everything I said is written in the bible. I didn't even say it. But that is ok, you can blame me if you want to. If you dont believe my prayers will ever be heard, why are you so worried about them? You are not the first person to believe the way you do. You are not the first to claim "creating my own path." What would you say if I told you there is a bible verse that directly addresses every question you have written and every point you have made?

davidklauge 4 years ago

David, I see no reason why we should not be friends despite our little difference, after all you are my Name sake. I understand that you use your scripture, the bible, to judge others so I get your point and like I mentioned you won't pass the test if others should judge you based on theirs. I have a Christian background and my family is Christian so I should stand with you but I see it unfair to judge others based on my personal belief just as I won't want others to do same to me. That is doing unto others like you want done to you. Therefore, if we all should base our claim and judgement using our various scriptures then we can't find a common ground for goodwill. It is for that reason that I was not happy that you claim others worship the devil. Note that I am not defending my right and I have no business in the matter so I may just keep silent but I took the pains of trying to help us find where we can agree despite our various religious difference. However, would you feel, if others claim you worship the devil? I am not afraid of your prayers but it shows you don't like my stand and you want to change to fit your desire. It can be liken to one using a spell to achieve ones aim. I am not asking you to change your belief because I see nothing wrong with it. I only asked that you try to respect others as you would want them to respect you. Above all learn not to use your scripture as a standard for judging others just as the law in US can't be found fit for every other nation. Thanks, my friend.
