This Should Never Happen

Children go to school, Lord,

The youngest ones of all,

And one peculiar gunman,

causes many of them to fall.

All of us are children,In your eyes, that we know,

Help us understand , Lord.

How CAN events be so.?

You have written us your letter,

The bible is your word,

Still , we flounder,

Help us please.

Make us understand.

This world is not like Heaven,

We pray, Your Kingdom Come,

Your will , if done on earth,

Then we know that peace would come.

Obedience to your peaceful ways,

Your love and tenderness,

We have a measure of it here,

But not enough, it´s getting worse.

It´s always getting harder

harder to believe.

We need your peace on earth, Lord,

We know you sent your son,

Now others´sons and daughters,

All such little ones,

Have left bewildered parents

to go on with their lives,

They need your help so much. Lord.

Make us understand, please.

Reach out hold their hands, please.

Make us understand, Lord,

Before we all go mad.!
