No Darkness in God
God is light, there is no darkness in Him at all.Therefore if we say we are friends with God and we still live in darkness then we are liars.
We are not following the truth, God is in the light, so we should also be in the light, but if we are in the light then we are sharing with each other, and the blood of Jesus Christ God's Son continues to cleanse us from all sin.
Obeying God
If we obey what God has commanded us to do, then we are sure that we really do know God, someone may say ,"I know God" but if he does not obey God's commands, then that person is a liar, the truth is not in him. When someone obeys God's teachings, then God's love is in him and he has become complete, this is how we know that we are in God.
Love Your Brother
We are taught to love our brother, who is our brother, they can be our next door neighbor, A person may claim "I am in the light," but if he hates his brother or sister, well he is still in the darkness.
The person who loves his brother or sister lives in the light and there is nothing in that person which will cause him to fall into sin.
Don't Love The World
Don't love the world or the things in it, if someone loves the world, the Father's love is not in that person.Here are some things of the world that some love, wanting things that they see, being too proud of the things they have, wanting sinful things to please their bodies, none of these things come from the Father, each of them come from the world, the world is passing away so will those who love the world, but the person who does what God wants will live for ever.
God Is Love
We should love one another, because love comes from GOD, the person who loves has become God's child, he knows God.
The person who does not love does not know God, as he is still in the darkness, and God is not in darkness.
This is how God showed to us that He loves us by sending His only Son to die for us, what love that is, that is real love.
Jesus is alive today, all we need to do is to surrender our lives to Him, then we will share in the love that God has for us.
When we confess that we are sinners, and we want to give our life over to Jesus, then and only then we become children of God, and as we would come out of the darkness and into God's light.
Victory
Every person who believes that Jesus is the Christ is God's child. Every person who loves the Father also loves the Father's children, then we can't say that we hate that person, if a person did say that he is not in the light.
We know that we are in the light because we love the Father as we have obeyed God's commands, loving God means obeying His commands, it is our faith which conquers the world, only the person who believes that Jesus is God's Son has the victory.
