Thought of the Day 16

Thought of the day: Focusing on the little we don't have or the little that we lose leaves us in a dark place where God never intended for us to dwell. Too often we focus our thoughts on the details of other's pictures our pictures lack and allow that to block the view of the artist who has painted our pictures as a masterpiece with a purpose and plan. This misplaced focus disconnects us with our Creator and God.

This makes the simple act of counting our personal blessings an action which is vitally important to our walk with God. Misplacing yourself among other's blessings puts you and how you view yourself in other's hands. This act of counting your blessings immediately places you in the presence and arms of the giver and creator of those blessings. This presence shouldn't be taken lightly or underestimated because it is the source of receiving peace and comfort from the one who created us each with a unique and precious beauty to shine out in a world filled with possessions which are not eternal.

My prayer for you is that you may go through each second of this day counting your blessings. That you can go each second of your day knowing that God is with you, God is holding you, and He is always watching over you. I pray that you may never forget the blessing of having a God who is intimately and actively involved in your life; a God who is longing to reveal himself and his blessings to you.

Daniel 2:23
"I thank and praise you, O God of my fathers: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king."

Psalm 103:1-5

“Praise the LORD, my soul;all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

Psalm 118:24

"This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."

I AM that I AM. God created me and God will supply my every need. If I do not need it, so be it.

Dave Mathews - There's a great song by Johnathan Hesler that says, "I've seen I AM, and now I know that I am loved, I've seen I AM, and now I know who I am." Love it!

Thank you both for your comments and time reading my thoughts!
