Thought of the day (10)

Jan. 10

10. Thought of the day: God remains the same. So often we as Christians trust Him and have faith in a Loving, caring, all mighty, Omnipotent, Omnipresent God... Then we encounter trials of all shapes and forms. We all the sudden think God has changed and is no longer those things. Brothers and Sisters in Christ let us have peace in the fact that our God never changes.

What we do is feel the Devil creeping in, stalking us like a lion, and hitting us where he KNOWS it will hurt us most. Then once he has brought us down, he feeds us the lie that God no longer cares or that he is trying to hurt us. Then he tells us that our lives would be better off in our own hands. Thank the Lord Jesus Christ who came to earth to "Testify to the Truth." The truth is that Our God is the same today as he was yesterday, and will be in every day to come.

My prayer for you today is that you fix your eyes on who God truly is despite the distractions of your day, whether they be good or bad. I pray that you can see through the devil's lies and that you may avoid letting him fill your mind with doubt and depressing thoughts, and that you can flee from the very thought that your life is better in your own hands or in anyone else's hands other than God's. Finally, I pray that you may find peace in whatever your day brings, knowing that you have a God who is never changing, omnipotent, omnipresent, and loving, who is with you always. For He is the same today as he was yesterday, and will be the same in each day to come in your life.

John 18:37

"Jesus answered, "You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me."

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Job 2:9-10

"His wife said to him, "Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die!" He replied, "You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?"  In all this, Job did not sin in what he said."

We must be ever vigilant, for satan lurks in the tiniest of spaces waiting for an opening.
